I've never had any issues with this company. I'm usually ordered custom items. They arrive quickly and are of good quality. I'm actually stoked about my recent order which will be gifts for some friends of mine. I wish they would add custom patches to their inventory. I've known about this company for a long time. A lot of churches order their vacation Bible school materials from them. I feel the pricing is fair and customer service was available when I did have questions. read more

For over 30 years, my wife has been a customer of oriental trading, but just recently after making a making a purchase from them just under a year ago, she was unknowingly enrolled in some kind of rewards program that she did not ask for nor did she consent to. After seeing how oriental trading did her, she is officially cutting ties with that business for good. read more

Oriental Trading is extremely quick in receiving payment and yet prolongs intentionally the arrival of any purchase made. Beware when attempting to cancel your order, you will be declined even if has been only seconds, you will need to wait for the unwanted order to arrive in 10 business days, only to ship it back for OT to receive in 4 regular ordinary days. You will need to call OT endlessly to receive your refund. The customer service dept offers very poor communication, nobody seems to know anything about anything, I have called nine times to inquire about my refund and receive a DIIFERENT STORY each time I have called. I am still waiting for my refund 24 days after OT received my returned items. I am very very disappointed with the overall experience OT has provided. read more

WARNING POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS!! This is my last order from Oriental Trading!! I'll try out literally ANY other company & I'm willing to pay more at this point because any potential savings is NOT worth the aggravation. I needed my order for TONIGHT'S Girl Scout meeting and ordered enough in advance to have it on time. My last 2 OT orders (1 last month and 1 this month) have been both delayed and downright AWFUL!! They are using a delivery company called SpeedX!! Do NOT believe their lying name. NOT only are they slow but they LIE!! They said they attempted to deliver my package on Thursday, 4/9 & when I track the package their site states, "Attempted Delivery: No access." I have a 2 lane driveway with CLEAR access to my front door. I receive Amazon, USPS, Walmart, Target and other deliveries without incident AND I have a ring cam. No attempt was EVER made!! When you reach out to them you get AI & this is their response. "I apologize for the inconvenience regarding your package. The current status indicates that it is scheduled for redelivery, but I do not have specific information on the exact date of the next delivery attempt. Since you mentioned that your address is correct, I will need to delegate this issue to the appropriate assistant to handle it further. Please hold on for a moment." No one ever came on line... I'm literally STILL waiting for an "appropriate assistant" So the bottom line is I will NOT have my items for tonight's meeting and now I have to run all over town to get what I need. This is a Thanks for NOTHING Oriental Trading AND your delivery company that should be called SlowerThanX!! read more

Ordered some self painting ornaments for our company event next week (December 8th-12th). The shipping notification told me they were delivered today at 10:16 am and left at the front door or porch. We are a company, no front porch here and why would they not bring it into the front office? In either case, the package was not delivered. I called the USPS to verify the tracking and they confirmed it was delivered...to a different location altogether and to someone with a different name, claiming this was not their issue but DHL's issue. I called Oriental Trading and they verified the address I provided was the one my order was shipped and to call DHL. I called DHL who claimed they only ship to the address on the label which comes from Oriental Trading. I'm most disheartened to learn that not one of these entities was willing to step up and take accountability for whatever error created the mis-shipped goods. While Oriental Trading agreed to reship my order, they were now out of stock. They did, at my encouragement and not their recommendations, locate a similar style of ornament for our company function and will ship it for arrival on Tuesday of next week. They saved a little face. They are shipping free of charge. This is not the point. The point is how did a simple shipment get mislabeled and why were none of these business entities willing to do the footwork to determine why? Most disappointing. read more

Oriental Trading Customer Service is awful, if there was a lower level rating, less than one star , they would earn it. You can show proof, attach form, even show their own chat, They apparently CANNOT READ. I have informed my church, friends, other associates to stand clear of their mess. I WILL NEVER USE THEM, EVER! PERIOD. read more

Terrible customer service. Contacted them because I needed an invoice. Not an unreasonable request. Locked out of my email account. Requested a password reset that was never sent. Called and spoke to someone who said they would email an invoice. Never sent. Put on hold for forever, and still did not get issues resolved. Never again! read more

Do not use oriental trading company! If you purchase anything from their website, they sign you up for a "fun rewards plus" account and you will be charged monthly without your consent! Once a newsprint catalog that rolled into my boyhood home bringing all the novelty crapola that made the 70s so charming, Oriental Trading made paper cocktail umbrellas and Chinese handcuffs must have lifestyle accoutrements. Fast forward four decades or so and a search for mass quantities of cheap plastic Easter eggs led me to the modern digital incarnation of the OT, a company that I had long thought defunct. They had the eggs and... the umbrellas and handcuffs were just where I left them forever etched in cheese-laden posterity. Only now, much to my surprise, this tribute to novelty obsolescence is owned by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway. Who knew there was such profit lurking under their mountains of disposable junk? The eggs came... pronto I might add but I couldn't bear to order the wax teeth and the instant sea monkeys... just add water. Four stars for just being true to themselves. Truth be told I just might go back for the sea monkeys. read more

This is place has been charging my account. I don't have an account with them. I never have. I don't receive merch, products, catalogs, emails it anything from them. The company signed me up for a rewards program and charged the card used for a purchase without my consent. When I called the operator acted like I was the only person ever to have this issue. I looked at the BBB website and many, many people have had the same issue. I was also told they could not refund the $16 per month charge because it was still pending and I would have to call back to request a refund after charge went through. I may not get refund then. Do not order from this company. Would give a 0 rating if I could. read more

This company is a joke. I spent a great amount of money on items and candies that were sent out to me broken and they would not let me return them. Then I wrote a review on their site and they took it down. Whoever you guys are paying to fulfill customers orders needs to double check on the products that they are sending out. It's not a good look for you guys and it's not a good look when you send broken items and won't allow us customers to return/ exchange them. read more

Ordered 3 items. Wanted to return 1. I had to PAY more than the item was worth to ship back. Representative was not willing to offer an alternative. Basically STUCK with a broken item. Sneaky Oriental Trading Company has a "Fun" program that they charge you $14.95 a month and I was inadvertently enrolled in it during my last purchase. Foolish on their part because now I'm afraid to order anything from them again. I'm sure I'm not alone and they've probably lost a good deal of business for their unethical practices. I noticed an out of the blue charge yesterday of $14.95 and had it cancelled and a refund was on the way. Today I see an additional charge of $14.95 from them. When I called the company they denied any wrong doing and said it's impossible they could've charged me again. They declined an offer to send them a screenshot. They said there was nothing they could do and my "Fun" account was closed. Such a huge headache for trying to rip off customers. AWFUL! Just Google it and you'll see this is a common occurrence and problem. Terrible! I now have minus $15 from my account I can't spend on a needed prescription. I have to work extra now to make the money they took out of my account to afford it. Truly a terrible company. Hope those responsible for this bocus account get their karma real quickly. read more

Ordered fr them for a Christmas party and decided to pay for expedited shipping for 12/12. 12/12 came, nothing was delivered. Checked tracking and showed 12/13. Then tracking showed out for delivery at 1009am on 12/13. By 8pm, 12/13, nothing. Called n Oriental trading Customer Svc basically tells u, "thank u for yr money but ultimately, it's not their problem, they are not the carrier for delivery". You paid for expedited shipping? That means nothing, it's on their site as a joke! Customer disappointed or upset? Oh, d mighty Oriental Trading Customer Svc will refund you the shipping cost or they will issue a $25 store certificate?!?! First, save the $25 crap, never buying from them again. Then suggested I go call UPS? Fine, called them. UPS said Xmas Season, drivers work late, stay up till midnight and wait pls n call back again if nothing is delivered. Of course, nothing was delivered and tracking miraculously changed from "out for delivery" on 12/13, to "in transit" on 12/13, to now, "Monday, end of day 12/16, cos UPS San Jose Hub opens 5 days a week?! This is a nightmare. Unless you don't care much about whatever you are purchasing from them, else, NEVER trust them as a supplier for parties or important events. Did an online order for my sons birthday party and was told the order will arrive 5 days later. Only saw a "track package" icon on the website in my order page but when hit the icon it brought me to UPS website with an error. Figured will just wait until the estimated delivery day to check it again. On the D-day no package arrived, decided to try the icon again and received the same response. Saw a tracking number in my order status and went into UPS website to track it by myself and to my surprise the order has been sent to my house only 2 days after my order, but there was no notification whatsoever from them. Chatted with the CS and she can only resend my order the day after my birthday party so I ask for refund which she did but I didn't get the email for the refund nor the refund. And she disconnected the conversation without my approval. So unprofessional! Overall I'm not gonna order anything anymore from this company. read more

I was happy with my order, but a word or caution!!! I spend hundreds of dollars here a year on items for my job. Today they would not work with me at all when it came time to return an item. Will definitely not order candy ever again from them. read more

I have been ordering from Oriental Trading Company since I was a little kid. (My parents did it when I was a child). They have unique party supplies and hard to find items. I found the website to be rather poorly designed. They had technical difficulties on the day I filled my cart and couldn't accept gift cards. So I had to come back the next day and place the order. Problem is.. The cart was gone. I wasted an hour finding my cart again. All the customer service rep could say was "we can't help". Then the order shipped. It indicated that the order was "partially shipped". So I asked the rep what didn't ship. It appeared that everything did ship. However on a big order it is difficult to judge (There are so many items). The customer service rep said "website glitch" and I should cross reference my original order against what was shipped. She didn't have it anymore. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE! The excuses from customer service were utterly garbage. If my experience was better there I would have rated much better. Pros: Good selection Unique items Fun for a party Cons: Shipping takes forever, so you have to spring for expedited shipping. (I find it hard to believe in today's day and age it takes more than five days to ship something from the middle of the country) Website is glitchy and caused a lot of heartache. Suggestions: 1. The website needs a new look and feel. 2. Dont push responsibility to the customer if your system made a mistake 3. Dont force me to spring for expensive shipping. I should be able to receive my item within five days read more

I purchase all my holiday crafts and kids birthday supplies from Oriental Trading. They are reasonably priced and always arrive on time. They have plenty of coupons and offer free shipping here & there. The quality is pretty cheap (items are not meant to last forever) but that is why the price is so low. Any time I've had an issue with an item (missing parts, lost during shipping, etc) customer service has always been great about resolving the issue. read more

This is an OK website to buy items for special events. They sell stuff for birthday parties, weddings, Christmas parties, baby showers, etc. They offer a wide selection of Halloween costumes as well. Oriental Trading usually has a lot of good sales. They give free shipping when you spend a certain amount of $ at times. They also apply discounts to your orders. I got $10 off my order and free shipping. I bought some pins, snacks and other goodies. I received my items four days after I placed the order. That was pretty fast imo. One of my items was missing. I immediately called to let them know. The customer service was quick and efficient. They took my call fast and said they would send me my item ASAP. No apology but they handled it fast. It wasn't her fault, anyway. I'm waiting for the item right now. I'm sure it will be here before my event. Some of the items they sell aren't the best quality. Some of it looks flimsy or as if it can break if you barely touch it. On the other hand, some of it is pretty good quality. Would I buy from them again? I think so. It would depend on what I need and if they have it. The price of it is also a factor. I like to go to Party City and Michael's to buy event items. read more

Oriental Trading told me they can't refund me and that I should either try to refuse the delivery or just send it back.
