Always loved shopping at this store, couple rude employees now and then but overall they have great products, and are doing their best to adapt to the current Covid situation. And their juice bar is amazing ! read more

I used to love it here. customer service is going downhill. The vitamin dept people have become more rude and short with you. They are overpriced all over the store. We need a Lazy Acres Market in town. read more

This place is awesome! I am down visiting my son, puppy sitting for a couple of months so needed an organic place to buy groceries and the occasional treat. This is the place!! Huge selection of produce, fruit, meats, bulk items....and the juice bar is fabulous! Check out the chili bar, as well....they have a vegan Aztec Chili that is beyond scrumptious and non-GMO corn muffins!!! I highly recommend that you check it out, even if you're not sure about going organic! read more

This place is great at what it does. If you are looking for a specialty grocery store with healthy items, this is one of the best I have visited anywhere. They have a good selection of unique items and some of their baker items are gluten free, dairy free and delicious. Yes the prices are more expensive than a traditional grocery store but that is to be expected at this type of place. If you are looking for bargains go somewhere else, but if you are looking for quality healthy items or something special (gluten free, vegan, etc) then this place is absolutely worth checking out. read more

All the employees here are incredibly rude, and will even curse at customers. Multiple bad experiences.

This place is a hit or miss. My first time ever visiting this store was actually to ask if they were hiring. I went up to this lady who was fixing the front and she was rude haha. She said no and I had a feeling she was lying hahaha. The first visit didn't stop me. I went again because I wanted to check out the juice bar. I like their juices! The only thing is that they take forever to make them. I go there when I'm not in a rush. I recommend you do the same haha. Deli area is okay! Sometimes they have good warm cooked food. Last time I got chicken, egg and butter not squash, and quinoa. It was really good! I never buy groceries here. Too expensive hahah. I noticed that most of the reviews are about how unfriendly the cashiers are and I agree! :( read more

Moving from LA to Corona made me look for alternative places to go shop at... I occasionally still drive to LA and OC to go to WholeFoods, but soon as I heard about Organic Roots I wanted to check it out. Great variety for the size of the market. They have pretty much everything you need and more.. like the prepared foods and juice bar that Sprouts lacks. Absolutely loved the juice bar. The guys working it were super polite and kind. Can't speak the same about the ladies at the food area (where you can make your own burrito etc), they seemed to be pretty annoyed at me. Also, the reason for 3 stars is that if this is a family market, and both times I was there I saw plenty of moms with little ones, you absolutely must have a diaper changing area. You have a single stall for women, and you have plenty of wall space inside to put one up. I had to change my baby on the damn floor.... my poor baby! It was pretty upsetting. I'd like to continue to commute to this place to buy the great products they offer but my baby will always be with me and if I have to put her in the floor again I rather make the drive towards West and go to WholeFoods instead. read more

Organic Roots - Had to change baby on the floor. No diaper changing table. :/ - Health Markets Near Me - Temecula, California

Pretty much what you would expect. They have a good variety of organic fruits and veggies, lots of health oriented products, and a smoothie bar, as well as a line of hot, prepared food for purchase. The employees aren't super friendly, and the prices are high (as expected). Really only come here when it's the only option, or when I'm looking for something specific that I can't find elsewhere. read more

I really like the juice bar and the deli -- they do a great job. However, the check out staff at the front are very unfriendly with the exception of one kind lady who is always pleasant. But she is the only one. I've been through checkout a few times where they don't say a word to me until they hand me my receipt. They really need customer service training or better yet, hire people who have great customer service skills. read more

I walked in with five 5gallon jugs trying to get some water. As soon as I got to the water fill machine it said "out of order" so I turned around and was walking out when Margie stopped and saw me without water and told me the machine takes quarters. I didn't have any on me so I thought I was S.O.L. but then Margie was like I'll hook you up with some quarters. Thanks to her I got the water I needed and didn't have to make another trip to another place. I really appreciate the excellent costumer service she provided and that's why I keep coming back to shop there. Thanks Margie you da best!! read more

Apparently the complaint from October of Diana did not have any affect on Diana being spoken to about her less than appropriate conduct. I was in there at closing could not find a cashier and had to look for someone to ask for service. I was the next lucky victim for Diana. Not only was she rude, but she couldn't even be bothered to finish the transaction. As the cash box opened with my receipt printing, she walked away from it, yes walked away (and continued sweeping)leaving another cashier to hand me my receipt. When I got in the car to my waiting husband , I told him my story and pointed to her as we could still see her in the window and he said he is familiar with her because she is just so rude and nasty. Apparently management has not gotten through to her yet. Maybe this should be handled by the next level of management and not at a store level. Consumers pay good money at this store because they expect quality products and customer service is no exception. read more

I came here looking for pre-made salads that I had seen at another sprouts location. When I didn't see them right away, I asked the nearest employee. She gave me the nastiest look as if I was bothering her with my simple question. She told me I was at the wrong place and I was thinking of Trader Joe's. I explained that I was definitely not thinking of Trader Joes and I had gotten the salad at a different Sprouts. She told me I must be mistaken because no Sprouts locations carry pre-made salads! My friend witnessed the whole thing and told her that she was being unnecessarily rude for such a simple question. Did she REALLY need to tell me that I was wrong when she had no way to know if I was right? I will not be shopping here if they employ people who have this kind of attitude. Henry's is much cheaper and friendlier. read more

This was my first time visiting a Roots and I have to say that with the exception of my interaction with one employee there, I was totally impressed. I am newly transferred to the area half of the week for work and really don't care to make my own lunches. Trader Joe's salads weren't cutting it for me and so my employers recommended Roots for their deli sandwiches. After meeting Carly(?, sorry, I forgot her name) who was their marketing director and super enthusiastic and kind I walked around the clean, bright store looking at their merchandise before I made it to the Deli counter. Kambria was the deli attendant who made my sandwich and I have to say hands down she is the most kind and excited/enthusiastic person I have ever met in the food industry. She made my experience enjoyable and made the most DELICIOUS sandwich I have Ever had. No exaggeration. She was extremely knowledgable and did a great job of selling the product and structurally the sandwich didn't fall apart nor buckled under the mountain of food I got for such a great price of $6.99! Lastly. The only negative part I my experience and what was kept me from a 5 star review was the cashier, Joanna. I understand people having a bad day, or maybe things not going your way in your life but she soured my entire experience at the cash wrap. She was sour, she was dismissive, unenthusiastic about her job and overall had a nasty attitude I didn't appreciate at ALL. And, as an employee at the Promenade I get a special discount card and upon showing her my card, not only did she huff and roll her eyes at me, but she proceeded to turn around facing away from me and speak in an inaudible whisper to a co-worker. Now. I don't know if the whispers had anything to do with me, or not but her attitude and lack of professionalism was a HUGE letdown. If you have something to say about a guest, save that behavior for the backroom or your personal time. She left a horrible taste in my mouth and I sincerely hope whatever aspect of her job she doesn't like gets fixed bc it was a dampening of my entire experience at what seems like a completely great place. read more

I hate to be the person to give places such low reviews.. I went to Organic Roots for the first time to do my grocery shopping a few days ago. Just moved here from Los Angeles and I am used to Gelsons & Whole Foods where you get great customer service always.. Well, unfortunately not here. This place is great, it has an awesome selection of stuff. It is expensive BUT it is organic so I expect it. However, I was overcharged $35. My one-star review is because of what happened after I was overcharged. Once I got in my car, I decided to check my receipt because I paid $80 for just fruits and veggies, yes organic is expensive, but not THAT expensive! The first thing on my receipt was a $35 charge for something that I didn't purchase. I had my very fussy 10 month old baby with me, but since I was still in the parking lot I decided to go back into the store to get it figured out. I went to the person who checked me out & told her that I was charged for something I did not purchase. I understand people make mistakes, we are human.. But, instead of apologizing and just refunding me for something I did not purchase, she told me to bring my groceries back so she can charge me for whatever it was that she didn't charge me for. So I have a fussy 10 month old & now I have to go back to my car & bring my groceries to be charged again?! So I let her know she can go to my car to check my groceries if she'd like. AND SHE DID. She went to my car and looked through ALL my groceries for 3 APPLES & took them back so she can charge me for the apples and give me whatever was leftover from that. In the end, I was not charged for the apples, but my experience was horrible. Went in a few days later to return sweet potatoes that had gone bad in one day, asked to speak to a manager about my experience, and was told they did not have any managers there on the weekend.. WHAT?! The only thing I was told was "sorry for your experience." That's it! Didn't get my info down, didn't say they will talk to the person involved, nothing. I feel like this store really does not care about whether people shop here or not. I'm just very disappointed by my experience & I'm not sure I will be coming back. read more

I have only bought actual "grocery items" a few times here... only because I was already there buying a supplement. SO yes I totally agree with prior reviews that they are extremely over priced especially compared to TJ's! And yes the cashiers are elitist hippies at times that cant believe that you did not bring in your own bag. But whatevs! :) Doesn't bother me I like healthy food and homeopathic remedies and I like hair spray and make up too! We cant all have dreads and play Kongo drums in a park! OK I go there when I have an issue and Doctors are useless and will tell you there is nothing they can do... I go to the ladies in the supplement dept. These women are GURUS!!! The two older ladies with short gray hair I believe they are the owners. You tell them what is wrong and they guide you and tell you ONE thing to buy. This is huge for me because homeopathic and herbs can get EXPENSIVE TOO! So they will only recommend more if you ask. Today I went in because my hair has been coming out and I have major breakage she recommended Biosil. I got then went home and researched it! Stellar reviews!!! Awesome. Also I went in there and said I wanted to get Chromium for monster sugar cravings I have been having. Boom in 2 seconds walks me to the chromium and then she said this is what you are looking for but this is what I recommend. Blood sugar with Gymena. Again went home researched same thing and it works great! They have great recommendations for children's colds and illnesses as well. When my twins boys were super sick and their pediatrician sent us to children's hospital ... they were super sick but eventually sent us all home. "Its just a virus and their is nothing we can do" One of my friends took me by the arm and dragged me to Sprouts the next morning and I started grabbing everything under the sun to help my babies $$$$ the owner lady came over I told her the problem she put all my stuff back said I didn't need it and sent me home with 3 bottles and a few recommendations. I followed her instructions and in 2 days took them back to their pediatrician and he couldn't believe their 90% recovery. (He is against homeopathy!) asked what I did I told him and he said well dint stop your doing something right. So their stuff my be expensive but its cheaper than our health care and pumping your bodies full of toxic meds if they aren't needed. So I feel like this place is cheap and they listen and they are careful with their recommendations. I have had MD almost syringe me full of penicillin after its posted all over my charts I'm allergic . SO obviously use your own brain and your own research. Temecula is very fortunate we have a sprouts that has such an extensive vitamin and supplement dept with truly knowledgeable staff. Think of the expensive stuff as the cost of the free health advice you get! Sorry so long winded! But geesh people go to sprouts for supplements not produce and cheese! read more

This location used to be called Sprouts and they used to sell real organic food. Things went downhill after the name change to "Organic Roots". Now they are like "fake" Sprouts. There seems to be a general consensus about the rude employees. There is a bizarre cult-like atmosphere at the store. Either the employees are related to the owner or they have an employment contract. I also had my share with the rude produce guy and the big guy with beard. Anyway, let's move to the integrity of the "organic" product. I bet the ownership one million dollars that they are not 100% organic in the juice bar. (I used to buy vegetable from one of their vendors). There was an old grumpy lady managing the store. Not sure if she is still there. I think a young guy with a rapper hat is currently managing the store. I took my business to Sprouts which is located about 1 mile away from Organic Roots. Next to LA Fitness. I buy my fresh squeezed juice from Nektar next to Trader Joes. I won't be back read more

Loved it when it was sprouts and love it now. Their organic bottled juice selection is what brings me here, as well as their supplements and knowledgeable staff. We also love their deli sandwiches, made fresh while you wait. Their hot entree items are always super delicious, as well. Just saw a happy hour special they were running for $6.99 for an entree, drink and something else but I can't remember. Cute little eating area to dine in. My only complaint is the grumpy little gal that runs the cash register. Always has rbf and makes you feel like you need to suck up to her to make the shopping experience a pleasurable one. It's a shame because the rest of the staff is always smiling and inviting, and that is the last experience you have when leaving the store. No "Hello! How are you?" "Find everything you need?"...nada read more

You know what, I like simplicity. Living a life of simplicity and health, I'm switching up my "normal" standards of no longer grocery shopping at Stater Brothers. I'm force to pic from a selection of healthy food and I'm cool with that. They have some pretty cool shakes here, but the juice maker lady today gave me a weird look like I was bugging her. I expect a freakin smile with that Juice lady! If you don't like your job, quit!. 4 stars for the Juice lady but 5 stars for Sprouts. read more

I have very mixed feeling writing this. On the one hand I absolutely LOVE the selection of fresh organic foods and prepared food choices. I will continue to stop here every time in in the area, but the last time I was in I had a very upsetting experience. We have absolutely fallen in love with the raw sprouted walnuts we got here, but they are a bit pricey. $13.99 for 7oz! No matter, we enjoyed them so much that we got them again. At the checkout I happened to glance up and noticed that they rang up for $15.99! I said something to the cashier and showed her the bag with a clearly labeled $13.99 tag and she didn't seem to care at all. This is the part that upset me so much. It didn't bother her in the slightest that their system was ringing items up incorrectly. There was no assurance that they would look into it or do anything about it or make sure it wouldn't happen again. How many people after me didn't notice that their $13.99 walnuts rang up as $15.99..? Is it even fixed to this day..? I've committed to eating cleanly but that doesn't mean that I have money to just fritter away, if I choose to bite the bullet and spend the extra money on something it is a careful choice and just tacking on extra at the register is not OK! She refunded my $2 but it's not the $2 that bothers me. It's that I now don't trust them to charge me properly. Like I said, I'll still go back, but now I will be watching very closely what I am charged, and that takes time and effort I don't like having to spend so I probably won't buy as much until I am convinced their registers are ringing things up correctly. read more

I usually am very pleased shopping at Roots, however, God forbid you need to return anything, it's not going to happen easily. Their return policy is terrible. Sometimes a receipt is not kept, for whatever reason. Stores know their products and should guarantee a refund or at least a switch out. An employee pulled the wrong product for me, which I attempted to return after realizing it was the wrong product. The bottle I wanted is very similar. Simple switch out, however they were not going to go with the customer. Management claims proof of purchase can only be done Mon thru Fri. I shop Sundays only as I don't live in the area. Bad customer service!!!! I will definitely limit my shopping at Roots to the minimal now. I can find the same quality for much cheaper elsewhere. read more

Edit: This is an updated review. Roots is great. We go there all of the time for their burrito bar. They seemed to finally put processes in place to be more efficient. Will continue to come back! Previous review: Sprouts... er...Organic Roots is great for the most part. They have a great selection or good quality food and the cashiers are friendly. They've made a lot of improvements that allow you to order food, smoothies and yogurt as well as buy organic food and herbs. My only complaint is the dang juice bar. They are terribly slow and need to work on processes. Every time I go, if I don't call ahead, I'm waiting 15-20 min. for a juiced drink. There is also a quality control issue as the drinks are made differently depending on who made your drink (I've had mass amounts of ginger in my drinks that make them undrinkable). I really wish that they'd fix the juice bar and I would be more than happy to give them 4-5 stars no problem. read more

Really expensive!! I can get the same stuff on Amazon for half the price. I love that this place has healthy options and fresh baked goods but they need more employees that really understand the health industry. Savvy budget minded shoppers may not appreciate this place. the only reason I'm giving this place a star is because of the food. it's good, organic etc. I've been here twice now and the customer service is HORRIBLE. I just went now to give it another shot maybe I just got a shitty person but nope. they're all rude. I wanted to get a sandwich made and I stood there for two minutes and no one me even acknowledge me until I'm assuming a regular came in and they were all happy to help. my first experience was absolutely horrible too. I asked if I checked out at the register for the soup and the lady said no go two stores down and check out there laughing. I'm sorry? I don't see how that's funny at all and it's rude! Juice bar = a 0 but because I can't give a zero a 1 will have to do. Ray apparently is the night manager and after waiting 36 min with 2 people waiting ahead of me, I finally got my drink. My friend ordered hers with me and it took 20 min more for me to get my drink. After talking to Ray, the manager, I realized how much he doesn't care about his customers and his employees. Everything that went wrong was his employees fault and there was nothing he could possibly do to right anything that happened, because, well, it wasn't his fault. I will NEVER shop her nor order any kind of drink here again. Way to lose a couple of customers on this trip, RAY! As a salesman by trade, I'd say find a new job because you suck at this one. read more

I spend a lot of money at Roots every week. But this store has an extremely bad customer service. I placed an order with the grocery department. First, they made a mistake. It was not the right product. I bought the product any away, but I asked them to reorder the right product. One week, two weeks, three weeks no one called me. So I stoped by and asked what is going on. The product was not ordered and needed to be reordered. So I reordered the product. They made me wait again two weeks. I went to the store asking some explanations. They promised me that the product should be there and they will call me for sure. No one never called me. It is not enough to apologize again and again dealing with different people to solve the same issue. There is some hypocrisy going on for sure and one one cares. So, I wanted to talk to the manager. They said there is no managers. I never got my order and I reordered this product many times. I never have been in my entire life being so mistreated by a store. It is ashamed. Please do not reply to me and apologize. read more

I love their wide variety of gluten free products seeing that I have celiac. My experiences at the juice bar and the deli have always been awesome, but man a couple weeks ago some rude chick was just so rude! Her name was Diana and I just was appalled... Usually I encounter nice people here but she was just so nasty. Not a fan of super rude people, especially when I was so kind to her. Bad and rude employees are like poison and its unfortunate that she is allowed to act that way. I would have given 5 stars if she wasn't part of my experience. read more

I'm not sure why so many of the customers here seem to think a grocery store is where you go to find friends...? These reviews are absolutely ridiculous for a grocery store. The food is good, there's a good selection of products, and the prices are fair enough. Everyone's gotta make a living. If you want a friend or someone to talk to, go to a high school with your drama, not a damn grocery store. Get a life. The employees are there to help you if you need help, otherwise they just clean and stock the place, they're not there to put on some tea with you and gossip about your lame ass life. Y'all must have nothing better to do than to be grocery store critics huh? Go read a book or something if you have so much extra time. There's too many of you damn negative liberals. read more
