This store is WONDERFUL!! The employees are so helpful! My daughter and I went relatively close to their closing time actually and they didn't rush us at all and not only that, answered all our questioned and when we kept trying to rush, told us not to worry about it. The store was very clean. Product selection was excellent. All the fruit we purchased was perfect! I was able to find a couple of herbal supplements that I couldn't find in other stores. This store is 40 min away from my home and it's worth the extra distance to drive, even through we have closer organic and vitamin stores near us. I will definitely continue to come to Organic Roots and I always recommend this store to my friends and family! read more

Still amazing! Every time I come I stop by the hot bar & Nancy is always smiling spreading the good vibes! Nancy will always make sure you get an opportunity to try any item you'd like without question. If there is something in the back that has not been put out yet, Nancy is always letting you know in case it is something you would like. Thanks for being you! (: read more

This is just a review for the bakery. I 100% appreciate the gluten-freeness of the entire bakery. However, 9/10 of the desserts I have tried have been AWFUL. Let me preface this by assuring you that I do know GF desserts. I have eaten some incredible GF desserts- from bakeries, prepackaged delights and homemade. So it isn't the fact that I'm not used to GF that makes me dislike this place. I tried a GF vegan chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting. I brought it with me to a wedding so I wouldn't miss out when everyone was eating cake. Thank goodness when I took my first bite I was standing next to a trash can. I have NEVER done this before (and once I accidentally put a shrimp in my mouth- yech) but I immediately spit it back out. A few months later I ended up back at the bakery. I decided to give them a second chance and bought $16 worth of cookies and other treats. The cake pop was WAY too sweet. There was SO MUCH colored SUGAR coating the outside that I managed 1 bite before I imagined diabetes already killing me. I did not finish this. The peanut butter chocolate thumbprint cookie wasn't sweet enough. It was dry and crumbly. It tasted like someone made a cookie out of peanut "sand" and a teaspoon of sugar. Blech. The vanilla cupcake with the brightly colored frosting tasted somewhat normal but I wouldn't call it GOOD. The only item that was actually good, was a soft chocolate cookie sandwich thing with chocolate cream inside. There were more treats in the box but I can't even remember what they were. I can't understand why it is so complicated for this place to make a tasty dessert. Good ingredients should equal good flavors. But not here. read more

Love this place!! Unlike Sprouts (who has misleading labels and sources low quality products: meat and produce) Organic Roots sources only the highest quality meat, grass-fed AND grass finished, pasture raised, ethical. All of their bakery is gluten free. Their hot bar and salad bar is yummy. Yes, a few of their employees suck, but 99% of the employees are really awesome; knowledgable, helpful, caring. I absolutely love that they only carry the highest quality products, hence their prices may seem high but in comparison to the same products at other shops or online, they are very reasonable. read more

Organic Roots - Bomb - Health Markets Near Me - Temecula, California

Visiting from Humboldt County where we have fresh, local, REAL food all around. Hard to find this is Temecula!. This place come close to my local co-op and market. For my birthday treat, I opted out on the Cheesecake Factory and we made our way to here. My mom and I split a $10 carrot cake, probably enough for FOUR people, but it was SO DELICIOUS! My mom really liked it, so that's saying ALOT. I will definitely be back for my bakery needs while in the Temecula area! read more

Went into Roots today for the first and last time.. went to the meat department ... stood there for at least 4 minutes and finally said.. can I get some help please.. 2 guys behind the counter.. one with hair down to his shoulders cutting meat!!!??? Really? Tie. That mop up!! The guy has the personality of a door knob.. no customer service skills from anyone in that store!! I get to the register and again some guy with long hair standing there playing with his hair and running his fingers through it!! Disgusting!! Train your employees!! read more

My review is of the juice bar only. I've gone there twice now. First time was 6 months ago. I had the mood enhancing smoothie and it was delicious! But not worth the 30 minute wait! Went there on my lunch break and was late getting back to work. Employees were extremely rude. 2nd trip was yesterday. The kid taking my order was very nice. Ordered the mafia detox. But they were out of spinach... at 2pm. So got it with dandelion and it was the most disgusting drink ever! Literally almost threw up with every swallow! Especially when im sucking chunks of who knows what through the straw! When my order was ready, i thanked the 2 people making my drink TWICE and was completely ignored. Literally looked me in the eye and didnt acknowledge me. My 2 stars is simply for the lack of customer service at juice bar. If i were to review the whole store.... prob 4 stars. If prices were not so outrageous here i would give 5 star. I will just stick to Sprouts and Nektar for my juices. read more

I love this store. They have "super" foods you can't find elsewhere. My husband and I have a fruit, seed & nut smoothie every morning and an all veggie green drink with dinner every night. I love that I get loads of choices for organic fruits and veggies. I don't like the idea of having my food genetically altered or covered in pesticides, so this is the perfect place for me to get my groceries. I use the coupons and feel that it is a fair price for the amount of fruit and veg that we go through and Ray, one of the employees, has good suggestions for what new produce to add for our healthy diets! I highly recommend! read more

Awesome place to shop. Friendly staff, superior selection, nice design. I love their coffee stand, they also have a juice stand. They are a bit pricier, for the most part, compared to competitors. I tend to buy specialty items not carried at the other stores. Do take advantage of their weekly deals on flyers you can find great deals. The meat section is great. High quality, and competitive prices - check out those flyers for deals. I always get roasts here. Their to-go food section is good, not the best. But pricing is competitive and obviously much healthier than fast food. Great salad bar. Very good, superior, vitamin selection and body care. I wouldn't recommend to go full out grocery shopping here but there is definitely some great items you can't find at other stores. And I really recommend the weekly ads and the meat section. Also, their coffee is good, you can taste that it is good quality without all the chemicals. I usually get an iced latte or vanilla latte, I'm a simple girl lol. read more

We regret not coming here sooner. This place has all of the bulk loose leaf herbs, teas and spices, along with tinctures and other alternative medicine gems. You can also buy bulk wheat, oats, grains and rice. Their wild rice is exceptional. I find something new every time we go. Thank you for being a light in a dark world. read more

I've been to this location twice in the past week. Although on the door it says that face masks are required, I've seen tens of customers walk in without masks, do their shopping as normal, and come out without being reprimanded by the workers. As a customer with parents who work in the medical field and risk their lives to COVID-19 every shift, I feel extremely disrespected by this store's lack of care and consideration. If you're immunocompromised or would like to limit your chance of getting the virus, I would recommend shopping at Sprouts on the 79 for the same products. read more

One star for the juice bar. The speed of service is crazy slow. I could have picked the fruit myself. There was no one in line and one girl waiting for a smoothie. How does it take 25 min to get an açaí bowl? That's ridiculous!! Second, the employees have an attitude and act like they genuinely hate their job. They are rude and condescending and I will NEVER come back! This was last and final straw. I have given their juice bar a million chances! OVER IT! read more

This is a great place to shop. If you've got questions the staff is very helpful. I come here often and grab a juice. Margie and Angie in the kitchen are great too. They offered me samples of several of their dishes and were extremely friendly. If you haven't been you've got to go check it out! read more

This is by far one of my favorite stores for juices, wraps and organic produces. I especially love coming to the deli section cause there you will find Margie. The wraps here are sooooooo! Good. read more

Went to Roots today to grabbed a few things. Get to the check out. As usual there is this blonde cashier that always has her mask under her nose. The same cashier that a month ago or so was telling a customer that mask were unnecessary and Covid is nothing more than the flu. She had a special guest today. Some rude Karen type chick with no mask no scarf. Just a socially immune person thinking of no one but herself. I didnt see an employee blink. Bad environment for a health food market. read more

Aside from the extremely awkward encounter with a nun inside the store, Sprouts is a great store that reminds me of like a Henry's mixed with GMC. A vast array of vitamins and healthy food to choose from. Only issue I had? They have no vitamin water :( I was extremely surprised. Not a huge issue as they did have a similar type of beverage, but opening the cap was very difficult and made it unenjoyable. They do have a deli on the left side of the store that allowed my GM and I to order a Chipotle-style lunch with chicken, beans, rice, veggies, etc. for about ~$7 a piece. Why was the nun encounter awkward you ask? Well, because she was practically demanding that I convert to vegan, while I held a container full of chicken and shrimp inside of it! read more

My favorite grocery store for produce and fresh juice. Everything is always fresh and tasty. Some of the dry items on the shelf are more inexpensive at other stores but their bulk spices make up for that! read more

New to the area and decided to stop in and check it out. Walked around the store and they have a lot of interesting produce, non-gmo, vegan, etc. options. Wasn't really shopping but decided to get some treats to try out at the bakery and a coffee as well. Every bakery item was awful. I regret this. -Vanilla Macaron, dried out and over sweetened -Mud "cookie", the worst cookie I have ever eaten. I bit into it and it crumbled into dust. Tasted like dusty oatmeal and unsweetened cocoa powder. -Meringue cookie, extremely flavorless -Pecan brownie bite, overly sweetened for what it was and barely any "brownie" under the icing -Peanut Butter Bar, basically fudge with a very thin layer of peanut butter on top The frappe was not blended well (liquidy with chunky ice) but tasted very good (Cocoa Haze flavor). The only reason I gave two stars- I would return for the coffee. Otherwise avoid this store for treats (and their prices are a lot higher on staple items found elsewhere). read more

It's a love/dislike with this store. The things I dislike is the price when there are other organic places like Sprouts, local farmer's market, Trader Joe's etc around the are that has better pricing. Another is the lack of friendliness from the employees. I've been hung up on or forgotten about on the phone asking if they have a particular product. The majority of them do not have a good knowledge of the actual products and what is on sale, etc. Lack of passion for the lifestyle, which clearly shows for lack of knowledge. Some positives. The biggest selection of things that I can eat...anywhere. I have this allergy to corn...severe reactions to it, and it's hidden in everything. Of course it's pricey, but I found something on almost every isle and filled up my basket in no time. They have lots of treats like from the company "Go Raw" which are all kinds of little cookie snacks made out of everything from ginger to pumpkin, and even my fav lemon snacks..even though I eat a lot of the spirulina/banana snacks...love them. But anyway, yes all the normal things you will find at a natural market, plus Ten Times more, and things I never even knew existed. I wish I could take this store home with me but I only get to go here when I'm in SoCal. More about this corn allergy, here's an example of how it's hidden...they have this product (even here at Sprouts) called Xylitol and it's nice and sweet and natural, like Stevia, but most of it is actually made from Corn...So is most Stevia. Just call the 800 number on labels and ask people what things are made out of. Back-tracking on the Xylitol, only because I got excited because I love sugar and am limited to certain raw or Agave kinds of sweets, but called the 800 number on the label and they said that their version was made from corn, so if you have a corn allergy, which is pretty rare, you have to find the kind made from Birch Bark. Anyway, I think I will write a book on this someday...but not now. Back to Sprouts...my hat is off to you!!! Keep doing what you're doing...for a Natural Market, I promise you that it DOES NOT get ANY Better than this Place A++++ for variety, Great People, and Awesome open layout. read more

What can I say? I can say that if all "grocery stores" were equipped with the helpful staff and healthy foods that this store maintains,we wouldn't be an America that is ravaged with obesity, diabetes, cancer, alzheimers, autism, premature births, and the list goes on and on. Their deli area is fully stocked with delicious, nutritious, healthy foods that you can eat right in the cute little cafe inside or out. They have amazing masticated juices and smoothies and my favorite, dairy free/gluten free frozen coconut yogurt. Their prices are higher on some things ...I don't know about you but hey....my healthy existence is worth it!! read more

If your planning on making your lifestyle Green and go Organic then I suggest you shop here. Ive been reading this book by Dierdre Imus (yes she is married to Don Imus) called "The Essential Green You" Ive got to admit its made me open my eyes to what we put in and on our bodies day after day as well as what farmers do to the animals to get our food daily............horrific!! They have this great salad bar with the freshest food you have ever seen in a buffet style layout. So if your hungry for lunch the healthy alternative would be to go here. The prices are a bit high being that the food they sell is gluten free, organic and low carb. Some items here are well worth it we love the Honey that you serve yourself which Sprouts gets from Fallbrook Farms its so good, sweet and all natural!! My husband loves the bins with bulk everything from flours to nuts to dried fruit to cereals! You buy what you need. They also have a juice bar in there and you can have them mix up what you want. I love the fact that I know whatever I buy from this store my son can eat because its healthy!! They even have organic lolly pops which my son loves!! You have to stop by every time Ive been in there its been so calm not allot of patron's so its easy to shop! read more

I haven't been to this store since it was Sprouts. Today my daughter and I went in for something to help with digestive issues. I of course couldn't figure out where I needed to look (my fault). My daughter said to ask and I asked her too because I was still looking. The lady that helped me is awesome. She took me to the right place and when I asked her what she would recommend for my problem. She pointed to the ones she knew would be a great way to start out and really helped. I'm so used to people at some stores that tell me they aren't sure and to read the box. I read the boxes, that doesn't tell me if that particular product works. She could so I have her a big hug lol. I forgot how great an actual health food store is. Very clean and organized. The veggies look wonderful and the deli/coffee bar looked great. Can't wait to go back for some veggies and a treat from the deli. The check out was quick and clean. The check out clerk was nice and smiling. Spencer was very nice and showed me how the machine worked and even offered to do it for me this time so I can watch and learn. Great store a great product. I appreciate at the store put society over the individual in following the state mandate having people wear masks. Thank you for helping to protect me and my family! I will go out of my way to give this place business! read more

I DO NOT recommend this Organic Roots store in Temecula! They post on YELP and on the outside of the store that masks are required but do not enforce it!! They have customers walking all over the store without masks. One man was coughing and Not even covering his mouth or wearing a mask. IT was DISGUSTING especially because I saw him cough right where the food bar is, and you know germs and salvia can spread all through the air fast and far. I also heard mucus in the cough. I told the produce manager that was on duty and he told me they offer curbside, instead of offering it to the customer and his wife not wearing masks. He said he won't say anything to him. The next day I called and talked to the Store manager and she told me that they DO let people in the store without masks and they do not enforce wearing one. I asked why they post masks required and then do not require a mask? I said you might as well say masks not required, so people know the store might be contaminated before entering. She just said again, we don't require masks. I also have left two messages for the owner Paul but have not gotten a call back. I left another message tonight. Next, I will call the health department. read more

After 22 years of shopping at Organic Roots, I will no longer spend my hard-earned money there. While shopping at the Temecula store on July 3rd, I noticed some of the staff wearing their face masks improperly and infectively (around the neck or below the nose). As this is a health safety issue for me (I am sixty years of age), other customers, and staff, I expressed my concerns to the manager, a young woman who did not have her nose covered, but was positive and professional in her response. While continuing to shop, I noticed the owner, Paul Cook, who was also wearing his mask around his neck. I approached him while maintaining social distancing protocol and expressed my safety concerns. I expected a courteous discourse but was shocked by his demeanor and response. He: * totally dismissed my concerns and, instead, stated his belief that masks do more harm than good. * dishonored my personal space and repeatedly approached me even though I kept backing up to maintain appropriate social distancing. * Informed me that, if I don't like the way they wear their masks, I no longer need to shop at their stores. Great suggestion. Going forward, instead of shopping at Organic Roots, I'll shop at Sprout's and Trader Joes (both of which have far more reasonable prices) and Jimbo's, which have far superior produce, meats, nuts, and seeds. Paul, here are my parting words of advice for you: Most people who shop at health food stores do so because of our focus on health (i.e., we try to avoid contracting COVID-19). Show more consideration for your customer's concerns, because, once we're gone, we're gone for good! read more

I feel violated!! Came in from out of town and was chased out for not wearing a mask. I saw one employee not wearing a mask but had the audacity of tell me to put one on. I don't carry masks because we are not required too to where we are from. We weren't asked nicely we were jumped! Very rude employees! One lady who was yelling at me snatched my basket out of my hands! Telling me I couldn't shop there. But yet her mask wasn't covering her nose and she's yelling at me! I pulled out a napkin and covered my mouth and asked if that was ok. They said no but their masks aren't worn correctly. I feel violated and harassed! I will never shop there again and will tell all my friends and family to stay away. I think I'll get a lawyer! Disrespectful and disgusting. read more
