Never disappoints. One of the best turkey reubens I have ever had. Servers are attentive. Nice diner feel.

Delicious food and great portions. I had an omelette, and it was very tasty. So glad they use orange juice that is not from concentrate. Service was quick and efficient. Food was served hot and delicious. Have gotten a quesadilla wrap as take out from there before as well, very delicious. Only complaint was that there was a server and hostess arguing when trying to put our name in at the register. Was sort of an uncomfortable situation. Big parking lot with free parking is very convenient. read more

I have a soft spot in my heart for diners. Growing up in Brooklyn, NY, I watched most of my favorite diners go out of business over the years. I'm happy that Orem's survived 2020 and I hope it's here to stay. My favorite dishes at Orem's are the housemade cheese blintzes, breaded chicken cutlet with gravy, and chocolate fudge cake. If you were to get anything, seriously .... get the cheese blintzes. They're soooooooo unbelievably good. My least favorite dish is the gyro - I find it to be a bit too salty. I still order it once in a while, but I really have to be in the mood for it. Get the blintzes! read more

This place is more than fine, and the food is a treat. Three of us at lunch was 45.4. I had coffee, a lox and onions omelet; the GF had a Cobb Salad, and Mom, gyro on pita; and a side of fries for the table. The avocado on the Cobb was excellent, the fries were served hot and crispy, and the omelet was very good, without cooking the lox, and getting the onions soft. The rye toast is especially good. Food price/quality rating 9. Atmosphere is is typical high-end diner. Service was very good. I've only been here once so far. I had a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato on rye, a piece of baklava (made in house, I was told), and a coffee. All were prepared and served properly, and delicious. I'd certainly come here again without hesitation. read more

Always enjoy eating in. Ordered Breakfast for pickup for the 1st time. I'm was ready upon arrival. Very generous portions. Scrambled eggs and egg white omelet were perfect. Several fresh thick slices of tomato were substituted for hash browns- delicious. Hard to know if the potatoes and toast were prepared crispy and got a bit soggy on the way home or if neither had been cooked/toasted enough? Easy enough to pop the toast back in (since I'd ordered mine dry). Will definitely order for pick-up again. read more

Great clean fast and friendly diner. All good was fast fresh and very good! We will definitely be back here. read more

No stars! Just had the grossest breakfast ever. Ordered some pancakes and corned beef hash and just as I was getting ready to eat the hash, moved the plate closer and there was hair stuck to the plate. Needless to say, we lost our appetites and we are never going back. We pointed it out the server and all we heard was "ohh..." and I told her to not put it on the bill. She told the owner and he didn't even apologize. Very disappointing! TL;DR: Only eat here if you like your food to come with a garnish of pubic hair. read more

Orem's Diner - Hair!!! Gross - Diners Near Me - Wilton, Connecticut

I just went into this diner to place an outgoing lunch order and was met first by a rude waiter telling me to go to the front to place an order. Once I got to the front, an extremely rude man looked at me with the most ridiculous face and said in a rather gruff voice "you have to WAIT". He repeated himself to me as if I couldn't hear his loud and obnoxious command at first. My son then said to me, "well that was rather rude, let's go. They don't deserve your business!" And we did just that. I will never go to this place again. Very rude employees. read more

The better diner! So many yummy choices: tuna melt, spinach egg white omelet, crunchy home fries, coconut cream pie, fresh roasted turkey w mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce & velvety gravy, chicken soup, Greek salad. Long waits sometimes- gets packed. Always a solid choice. Prompt service. Clean & bright w lots of windows fairly new decor. Large private lot. read more

Amazing food and service I don't know why this needs to be 85 characters but whatever Orem's has great food have been going there for a long time and I love it hope there's another 100 years read more

Good experience . The food was well prepared and the staff was attentive on our first visit here. We'll be back.

Best diner food in the area. The atmosphere is bright and clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. Most importantly though - the food is so good! Pros: Eggs Benedict is out of this world delicious! Hands-down one of the best I have ever had. The ham is thick and well cooked and the hollandaise sauce has a very unique yet still traditional flavor. The pancakes are fluffy and perfectly sweet/salty. And when you add the pure maple syrup on top of the pancakes, you are in for a mind-blowing delicious experience. The coffee was fresh, hot and flavorful. Cons: None! Truly a great one of a kind diner. Tips: the later you arrive the longer the wait! I suggest getting there before 10am for breakfast if you want to avoid the crazy line. read more

The worst diner, service, and food I've ever been too in MY LIFE! I'm seated in a lightly busy establishment, waited a moment to be waited on. Young, very inexperienced wait staff took my order. I waited 25 minutes for a sandwich and fries! I expressed my concern to the manager. I then received my food. Warm to cool temp. Ugh. I asked for dessert. Got that and ate some. Went to the restroom and when I came back out my entire table was cleared!! WTF!!!! Good thing I took my belongings!! I came back and complained. read more

Ok so we're dying of hunger and this is the first time we're trying this place. Took a while to get here, as I was constantly reminded by a ravished 14 year old boy! Ordered fruit, cantaloupe and fruit salad. Uh oh not good! Fruit salad small with only one small piece of pineapple. Cantaloupe not ripe enough and inedible Tastes like ass (not my comment) Coffee comes robusta beans. Not good cheap blend! Gee not a good way to start Someone in our party points out that another table is being served and they came 10 minutes after us!!! WTF!? Breakfast comes. Eggs aren't done the way they were ordered. Have to be sent back Twice!!! Finally the woman waitress came to the rescue and brought the eggs back more cooked! Unreal. Plus we had to get up to get our own sugar and syrup The pancakes, in all fairness were very good. The French toast was fine but nothing to gloat about. The best part was the waitress who was so nice and personable Sorry guys but you give the Greek diner a bad name read more

Orem's used to be our go-to diner. The past few times we have gone, the consistency of the food was not great and the service was pretty bad - we seem to always get this one crabby older woman. Tonight, my husband, son and his friend were ordering and my son, who has social anxiety and has FINALLY started ordering for himself was chastised by the server who said to him "why are you afraid to speak?" All I can say is she is lucky I wasn't there because I would have called her out for her rude, insensitive, and obnoxious comment. How dare you, lady! Bye, Orem's, we are done with you. read more

Orem's diner is our go to place for casual dining ....Great food and the service was fantastic ....heather our server was amazing !!!

Staff is tired and uninterested. Which I understand. The food is alright. A busboy was extremely depressing and had the energy of Eore from Winnie the Pooh. A waitress was lathered in perfume which carried over to my mouth whenever I took a bite of food, the orange juice is store bought but listed as "fresh squeezed." I won't come here again unless I'm at Gun point. But overall... it's a diner. You get what you get. read more

I visited for a work meeting and had a good experience here. I was greeted with friendly service on a Wednesday morning and our party of 3 was seated right away. I went with an egg white spinach omelette with mozzarella cheese. The order came with home fries and toast as well. For the money, you receive a very generous portion. I was really pleased with the freshness of the ingredients and the flavors as well. My party mentioned this diner is a favorite in Wilton, CT and I can see why. It is quite charming! read more

You're a classic Orems. My son loves your pancakes, my husband you blintz. I prefer the eggs, bacon and toast classic (add coleslaw). So good it should come standard! You're always open and always friendly! Love it. Love read more

Yummy diner specializing in classic favorites and Greek delights. Excellent and quick service too. Stop by and see for yourself!

The waiting staff is good but that's where it stops. The guy behind the cashier should be removed. Obnoxious, rude and I do not care if he's a family member, if that's the case. Horrible guy!!! I will not go there again and will tell my friends as well. The food was overpriced and cold. The soup wasn't fresh and fur a cream soup very loose and watery. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich in a roll and side order of fries. They brought it out with 8 eight fries that were obviously sitting and cold and stale! The sandwich consisted of one small grilled chicken the size of my palm and cold cut thin!!! My friend and I looked at each other. Then she had a turkey club sandwich in a wrap and the bacon as horrible, which she left with sweet potato fries on her were super thin and in the burnt side. Between the food and who I believe is the manager, looks and acts as if he out of a nut house this was certainly not a relaxed and enjoyable experience. They should remove this guy. Didn't even ask anyone that was paying him how was your meal nor did he say thank you after we paid. Took card in an s as angry fashion and was rude giving it back. He should be removed!!! He obviously has anger issues. We were discussing with several customers outside the diner. He's the one that's not clean shaving and stares in your face as if he's going to fight with you. Very scary experience!!! Fire him and the cook and get this place under control. I do not care if you've been I wilton for years. People work hard for their money and they can eat somewhere else!! Do not patronize this place. They do not deserve your business. Respect your money and your time. Food sucks and certainly management does as well putting this person in the front. Do not encourage this establishment to exist! I've been in wilton for over 25 years and this shouldn't happen. The older man that used to be there at the door was extremely well qualified. I do not care if they're all related. Take this relative out. As for the responses from management apologizing and they strive to please No you don't as this issues continues to happen and you address none of these complaints! Wake up folks and stop spending your money at places that do not deserve your hard earned money! read more

Typical diner. Plenty of free parking. Clean and neat. Our server was friendly and attentive. Good, but not great food. I had a bowl of lentil soup. It was OK, but, frankly, I've had better lentil soup from a Campbell's Soup can. My wife had chicken soup. She says it was good, but not great. My brother had a chicken salad sandwich, which, he said, was OK but not memorable. And my sister-in-law had a BLT sandwich, also not memorable, and two thirds of a chocolate milk shake. She assured me that it was very good. I've eaten at lots of diners. Usually, they take pains to serve food that you would normally expect to eat at a gourmet restaurant. This diner doesn't seem to have made an effort to exceed the expectations of their customers. They ended up serving us meals that didn't even meet my expectations. read more

Worth the wait! I had breakfast, my son had lunch, my daughter had the most chocolatey pancakes ever! Our go-to place for sure.

Best diner in Fairfield County. Food is fresh, cooked-to-order, and always tasty. Waitstaff is incredibly friendly. Same wait staff has been there for years which tells you something. Place is always packed for breakfast and lunch. The locals love this place! I don't understand why this place only has 3 stars!! Seems like previous reviewer have unrealistic expectations for a diner at this price point! Orem's exceeds all of my expectation. read more

When you list your diner "favorites" on your menu, they ought to be your solid go-to dishes. Your can't misses, if you will. So, on a big diner menu, I ordered the tuna melt. What could be bad? Well, for starters, the "grilled cheese" was barely melted. And the tuna was cold with the bread barely toasted. Which would even be ok if the tuna was good. But instead it was just kind of bland. The fries didn't rescue this dish, though they weren't bad. But, as the saying goes, I've experienced better. My dining companion had eggs and bacon. That looked better, so I guess lesson learned is to go for breakfast and skip the lunch. Or just skip this place. You're not missing much. read more

This place has gone downhill. I've eaten here over 4 times now and each time is awful. The fried chicken has no chicken just bones , one of my fries looked like it was eaten... and the salad was stale. read more

Growing up, Orem's (the old little one) was the diner closest to home - so I went there a lot and always thought it was a fun cool little down-home honest to goodness diner. I was bummed when it closed and the new bigger improved Orem's opened and initially was hesitant to check it out .. finally I did and was very impressed. The new Orem's is BIG with lots of parking, and the menu seems to have grown tremendously. The restaurant always seems to be packed, and they always manage to get you seated pretty quick and you get your food surprisingly fast most times. The last few visits to Orem's I have found a few things I have really liked - starting with the vegetarian appetizer combo - a great platter of hummus, tzatziki, pita and kalmata olives. For my main course i usually keep it simple and diner-ish, a chocolate milk shake, grilled cheese sandwich and french fries. the crew here does all that just right. good diner, worth stopping if you are headed up route seven .. read more

Unfortunately the food was kind of forgettable. Overpriced for not a typical amount of "diner food". Got corned beef hash with 1 egg, and it was $10. Corned beef wasn't cooked all the way through. Boyfriend got chocolate chip pancakes and said it was great! He also got scrambled eggs on the side and he thought the eggs went bad or over cooked. Got a side of bacon for $4 and only got 4.5 strips. Burned coffee. Service was great, however! Our server was attentive and nice. read more
