Such a fun little urban winery in Eugene- one of my favorite spots for a day date or relaxing afternoon (they do close at 8, so don't plan to spend the whole evening here). The wine is made on sight, and we enjoyed learning more about it from the staff working. Cozy interior with couches and tables- they also host many private and public events, including yoga, dance lessons, and release parties for different wines. They also frequently host private events such as reunions and baby/wedding showers. They have a nice little patio outside, and the Vietnamese food truck on sight is sensational. Once you are done, you can also walk over to Capitello tasting room to keep the party going if you want to go on an urban wine tour. :) read more

Very nice but casual at the same time. We enjoyed a bottle of the Finley pinot noir and ate from the food truck Da Nang, which was also good. Because the weather was cooler we were happy to score a couch inside. But, they do have a nice patio too when weather gets better. read more

I'm certain the 5 star reviews are from employees. This is the second time I've been here. The service is awful - and the wine is worse. We have asked in and were treated at we 6 minutes. I love this place so much. The atmosphere of the interior is lovely, and there are free board games to play with your friends and family if you desire. If you can, definitely plan your visit when the food truck is opened as the food is super flavorful in all the right ways. Additionally, if you can/in a large group, buy by the bottle instead of per glass as it will be cheaper that route. read more

Twice now, my wife and I have driven across town to go here. Both times we checked Facebook to see if they were open and both times we got there and they told us that they were closed because of a special event. Get with times and mention if you are truly open to the public. I will never attempt to go in again. read more

I ordered a beer from a keg that ran out mid-pour. The server commented on her relief for it not having blown during an earlier rush, and handed me half a beer as I waited for her to change the keg. No problem. When she finally returned with my order a few minutes later, she practically snatched the half pour out of my hand without a word. To be fair, I didn't pay for 1.5 beers. But her service was rude, confusing, and contradicted every form of service etiquette I've come to know in my many years of experience on both sides of the bar. Disappointing. read more

Absolutely hands down some of the best wines I've ever tasted. The Syrah/Grenache is to die for, I wanted to take a case home! My husband and I love love love Oregon Wine Lab. It is one of our favorite places in Eugene, and one of the few places in city limits that has tastings. I believe their white flight is $10 and the red is $12, but it may change based on what it includes. Glasses range from $7 to $15. They have a great variety of wine from the Willamette and Umpqua valleys, and some from Washington. The last few times I've been in, they've had four or five different Oregon pinot noirs. They also have a few types of beer and a locally made carbonated cold-pressed coffee. The bar staff are incredibly personable, fun to chat with and far from pretentious (like some wineries can be), but still professional. No snobs behind this counter! Friday nights are great -- food, live music, and a great relaxed atmosphere. The Vietnamese food cart that parks outside on Wednesdays and Fridays has the best Banh Mi sandwiches in town. There is also a charming and gregarious little cat who lives next door and will almost certainly come say hi to you if you're sitting outside. She apparently eats just about anything, but is clean and well-mannered -- not annoying or aggressive in the least. She really adds to the ambiance and uniqueness of the place. read more

If I could give this place a big zero, I would. I've now been here twice, and it's nothing special. But the last time I went, it was downright unpleasant. I had a couple of tastes -- because after all, you should know what you like when you're ordering a $10 glass of wine. I ordered, and my husband came up behind me, saying to the host, "I understand we first taste a couple, then order?" She said flatly, "No, that's over." He blinked, surprised. She stood firm. He ordered a beer instead because again -- if you're getting a pricey glass of wine, you'd better know you like it. I have never been to a wine bar where they don't graciously provide a few tastes before ordering. Further, there was no information provided whatsoever about the wines. We saw that they seemed to mostly be William Rose. Well, ok. We tried to find out more, but there was no further information coming. When we taste wine -- which is frequently -- we like to know about the vintner, where the grapes were grown, the way it was aged, etc. This was a disappointing visit, and we will not be back. Further, we have a local, busy B&B, and we will warn our guests about this place. There are plenty of fine establishments in Eugene, and unfortunately, this is not one. read more

This is one of my favorite wine locations in Eugene. I was invited to enjoy OWL when I first moved to town and I instantly fell in love with the William Rose bottles. Recently, I experienced a Portrait Pinot Noir, which after sampling, I promptly purchased two bottles for my close friends (they loved the Portrait as much as I did). I've taken business associates to this location and have always felt welcomed and have enjoyed my time. I especially like the outdoor seating and community vibe during the summer. Visiting Eugene and found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. So glad I did. Loved it. Sasha one of the owners helped us out and she was awesome. Knew all you could know about the wine. So nice to talk to someone who helped produce the wine. Not the wine maker, but had a bit to do with the process. We had several of their wines and liked most of them. Ended up with bottle of Merlot. The place has a cool vibe. They have a lot of local art and that brings a lot of goodness to this place. So glad we found it. Its a must in Eugene. read more

I received very personalized service when I ordered a flight. The server was very good about explaining each of the wines-how they taste and where they are from. Da Nang Vietnamese food cart is here most of the time. Their chicken or tufu w rice is absolutely out-of-site and only 7 bucks! Thursday nights offer trivia night at 6:30. This was a terrible customer service experience - we were first told we could taste the wine before ordering a glass. Out of the about 15 wines, I tried 2, very very small tastes. As I was still undecided and wondering what I should order out loud, the bartender Sasha commented in a condescending manner that we had already tried all of them (obviously an exaggeration). Her tone was rude and insulting. I went ahead and ordered a glass in a hurry, and felt extremely uncomfortable. I will never go back. This is a simple space, with a limited selection of wines, but it's a perfect little example of what it's trying to be. Incredibly friendly staff guide you through their wine choices. It's clear that they are picky about what they choose to serve-small, local wineries, many that I haven't seen anywhere else. Prices aren't low but are reasonable. When we spent a couple hours there, they had a cheese and salami plate as the only food option-it was very generous and the selections were fantastic (again, locally produced options).
