So, I randomly drove out of my way to catch any available tech. CiCi was called over to help me. And the whole experience, from beginning to end was just so catered to me. Light touches, consideration of my phone use, providing me with easy options, and I left with a very stylized French manicure perfect for spring. Dry gel manicure cost $60, but I was done in about 35 minutes even with a previous gel soak off. This is the type of service I'm happy to spend money on. I had a wedding to attend, and with dozens of nail salons around, I gave my partner several options without even reading reviews. She liked the name Orchard Nail, and we knew there was so much choice that if this spot didn't work out for our walk-in request, we'd just move on to the next. Quynh was very prompt in greeting me, and luckily, they had an opening. The first thing you do is pick your nail color! I wasn't sure what would complement my gray dress, but I was considering either a soft white or pink. It's been a while since Ive gotten a manicure, and even longer since I had a pedicure (I usually do my own!), but since it was a special occasion, I decided to treat myself. Quynh was incredibly friendly, understanding, and fun! I even complimented her nail color, and I ended up choosing the same shade, LOL!! My nails were a bit uneven, some long, some short but I requested a classic French tip. She wasn't initially sure if she could do it, but she pulled it off beautifully! This place was recommended by a client of mine. I am across the street and operate my own beauty business (Glow Up Factory) so when coming to get beauty services, I tend to look at everything. Cici was AMAZING. She did my manicure so detail and clean but she impressed me when she designed my nails. I never get design but she said "trust me" and I am glad I did. She is creative and has an amazing sense of humor. My pedi was great too. Their pedicures even include hot stones . My nails lasted 3 weeks and still looked good. I tend to wash my hands a lot, I even did some cooking and mechanic work and they held up really good. This never happens at other places. I don't know if it's the material or technique. First time coming here, I was in a rush and needed a manicure ASAP. Waited for about 10-15 minutes but that's typical at most places when you have no appointment. I had Heidi as my nail tech. She was very nice and welcoming. Asked me if I had a shape in mind or a photo reference. I understand that sometimes recreating the exact photo can be tricky. But I think she did a great job. Very careful while working. I love having long nails but I have been liking a short length for sometime. The picture with the white almond shape was my first time coming in. This used to be my favorite spot for mani/pedis, but it's been a year since I've been here and their quality has dropped tremendously. Let's start off with the horrible customer service I received from my nail tech. She was unfriendly and barely spoke two words to me. She filed my nails unevenly and I had to point it out to her which I could tell caused her to be annoyed. She tried to fixed it, but my nails ended up a lot shorter than I'd like...and still uneven. I didn't want to say anything else as it was already too short. The paint job was the worse. On one hand, she painted it close to the edge, which was great, except it was uneven. The other hand, she painted far away from the cuticles, which made it look like it had a week or two of growth. One of the nails she painted was lumpy, so I pointed it out to her. She didn't look happy I pointed it out and painted on another layer. There were 6 layers on that finger already! But it didn't fix the problem so she had to re-do it and was clearly frustrated at that time. Hey...if she did it correctly the first time, we wouldn't have this problem! I was charged $18 and added tip to it as well...even though I really wanted to not tip at all. $18 for a regular mani seems a bit much. The nearby nail salons charge $12-15. One day later, the nail polish started to crack. It's a sign that the nail polish that they use is old. I'm very unhappy about the overall experience and quality of work and don't plan to return again. read more
