10/10. Amazing service, very clean. Have been coming here for over two years for pedicures and gel…read moremanicures (builder or hard gel) when I was local, but will still stop by when I'm in the area (just moved away recently). I have really high standards for my nails and The Nail Bar has always delivered! Their team has been able to deliver on every nail art request I've had. Their owner helps you connect with the tech best suited to your request. Their expertise helped me to identify that hard gel is best for my line of work (frequent hand washing and sanitizing, heavily physical at times). The hard gel never lifts no matter the growth, it's filed thin and natural looking, and the beautiful nail apex they create is probably the reason I have never had nail breakage-- of the gel or my own nail-- despite my work! Recommendation for new customers: definitely make an appointment or call before coming, whether for your full set or your repairs! While they take walk-ins, they are a BUSY salon. They are very accommodating, as they've done repairs for others in-between my own manicures. I've also witnessed their kindness towards more elderly clients they help into the salon chairs, etc. It's just a wonderful crew here. Thank you The Nail Bar!

Eventually, another woman came to get me. I booked my appointment a few days in advance, so I wasn't expecting to wait outside, but I understand that the business was very busy. To preface, I enjoy getting pedicures, but I don't use polish or gel because I prefer not to have anything artificial on my nails. My service was done much sooner than everyone else who had been sitting in the chairs before I arrived, possibly because I didn't use polish or gel? The chair was comfy, and the person who did my pedicure was kind, but it felt rushed since someone else was waiting for a pedicure chair. While I enjoyed the experience, I didn't think it was worth $50 plus tip. Because it's so close to where I live, I'll likely give them another shot on a quieter day to see if the experience is less rushed.

I typically do not write this kind of review, but the service I received on 6/14 was unacceptable…read moreand I could not get over how it soured my day. I had a Groupon for a pedicure here, and upon reviewing their website noted that they had 20% off for their opening and that gel nails were 45, so even though I normally go to Enjoy Nails in Palo Alto I thought why the heck not, I'll go here this week. The establishment is fine, but the woman who greeted me was on the phone, and remained on the phone while she started my pedicure. Any semblance of a "heavenly" spa experience was gone. A second woman came later, who started my nails, filing them down to thin stubs. Then we moved to the table, at which point the woman that had been doing my toes (who by the way, didn't wear a mask the entire time I was there) began blow drying her hair right behind me. Unhygienic and unprofessional. The manicurist finished my hands, at which point both women wandered into the back, seeming unsure of what to do next. Then the pedicurist/apparent hair stylist in training walked out on the phone again, demanding 55. I explained that wasn't what was on the website, pulling out the list for them to see. She saw the listed price, then got back into a heated conversation on the phone, at which point she hands the phone to me, informing me that it's the owner. This woman is ultimately why I wrote this review. If you want to create loyal clientele at your new business, I wouldn't recommend yelling at them over the phone. Nor would I recommend trying to bargain: this is a business, not a flea market. She insists that the service I received (pictured below, as well as what I had asked for) was not gel, but dip, despite my initial request over the phone and in person for gel and that my total was 55. I again showed the menu, and the pedicurist woman took pictures of my phone for her boss, but she continued to yell at my that it was 55. Then she said she could do 20% off 55 for 45. That's just not even the correct math. I really just wanted to leave at this point, as I was tired of being berated and paid the 44 (20% of 55) plus tip. They only accept Venmo or Zelle, which is beyond sketchy. The pedicurist then apologized to me, saying that she has to call her boss because if they get the wrong price they get yelled at. Not only do the employees not know what the prices are, the owner is rude to them. I wholeheartedly do not support this establishment and will not be returning.

So, I randomly drove out of my way to catch any available tech. CiCi was called over to help me. And the whole experience, from beginning to end was just so catered to me. Light touches, consideration of my phone use, providing me with easy options, and I left with a very stylized French manicure perfect for spring. Dry gel manicure cost $60, but I was done in about 35 minutes even with a previous gel soak off. This is the type of service I'm happy to spend money on. I left feeling relaxed, relieved, and pampered. Thank you CiCi. And thank you to all the great techs working at Orchid Nails. You all do lovely work without much thought. Very refreshing experience.

She liked the name Orchard Nail, and we knew there was so much choice that if this spot didn't work out for our walk-in request, we'd just move on to the next. Quynh was very prompt in greeting me, and luckily, they had an opening. The first thing you do is pick your nail color! I wasn't sure what would complement my gray dress, but I was considering either a soft white or pink. It's been a while since Ive gotten a manicure, and even longer since I had a pedicure (I usually do my own!), but since it was a special occasion, I decided to treat myself. Quynh was incredibly friendly, understanding, and fun! I even complimented her nail color, and I ended up choosing the same shade, LOL!! My nails were a bit uneven, some long, some short but I requested a classic French tip. She wasn't initially sure if she could do it, but she pulled it off beautifully! The area itself was nice there was a gentle breeze, and plenty of parking, which was a plus. Overall, I would recommend Orchard Nail without hesitation. Great experience and friendly service!
