Taken my old truck here many times and as a young girl I've always been treated fairly. Owner/manager is up front about price of parts and labor. Also doesn't take months for repairs. Changed my spark plugs myself, something didn't sound right so I took it to Olive Garage. Turns out one of the wires wasn't completely connected. He diagnosed and plugged it in for me free of charge. When i took it in for an inspection the garage was already busy, but they were still able to inspect it in a timely manner. Explained and showed me what needed to be done. My 2013 Honda Civic had just passed the warranty mileage when the starter went out. The Honda dealership located in Anaheim California was not helpful in this matter and refused to contact Honda Corporation to resolve the problem. So my son was down in Anaheim area for a camp. His first big trip with his car as an adult. Had an issue with the axle and car was not drivable. Called Ron in a bit of a panic and he came through with flying colors! Was able to get everything done and in time for his trip back. I was panicking being so far away and dealing with this but Ron really stepped up. He even offered his cell number to us since they are closed on the weekend, just in case. Everyone in the surrounding area should know about this guy and how much of a stand up person he is. I almost feel like I need to move down south just to have him work on my cars. Orange Olive Garage is the only place I will ever take my 2002 Buick Rendezvous for maintenance and especially any kind of repair, as long as I live in Anaheim. I've had a lot of repairs the past 10 years where I've been scalped by other garages and mechanics) Ron has worked on my car several time, big job and small jobs. Recently I needed phone charge capability in my car. The original port had not worked for years. Ron had a brilliant idea to install a new unit in the firewall so I could charge my cell devices. It's perfect,out of the way and has been a life changer for me since he installed it. Being a professional dog walker I'm on the local streets all the time and use my phone on all my appointments to stay in touch with the dog owner. I take a lot of photos and videos on the walks for the owners to see real-time, and I use a lot of cell battery life. When I have had a low battery, it was very stressful for me. Not anymore!! Ron and Javier are outstanding and very trustworthy,not to mention polite and respectful. If you need a mechanic or an auto repair shop, you should try this shop. I finally stopped procrastinating and took my honda in for major work. This place was referred to me by friends and a co-worker. Olive Garage promptly took my car and began work on replacing the belts, spark plugs and water pump. My car had 105,000 miles on it and I figured it was time. They also found a broken motor mount and fixed it. The only headache I had was the car stalled after I received it back. I called them the next day and they fixed the problem within 30 secs and I haven't had any issues since. Have to love the people on here crying that the owner doesn't hold your hand and baby you like the jiffy lube manager trying to sell you a marked up air cleaner. Ron and his team know cars and trucks. He tells you straight out, this is a shit part, and that's why it broke, and I wont put another one like it in your car, so you dont come back in 3 months. When you go to a busy mechanic, and most people there have been going there for decades, its safe to say that's a pretty good sign. I would 'nt recommend going here!first of all the owner/manager ron isnt a customer friendly person. he seems prejudice to me. his approach to me was 'nt very nice is it because im asian? he gave a final conclusion onto my car saying engine is blown up/dead and my car won 't have any chance at all to get fixed unless a buy a new engine which cause more than what i pay for my car which is not necessary. he did 'nt do any diagnostics on it. Brought my car to my mechanic and now its fixed and works perfectly. All I can say is i dont like how you treated me when i was in your shop. the way you act, spoke to me was kinda offending. We took our second hand newly bought 2002 Buiek to Ron and Javier to have it inspected even after the previous owner told us he had had his macanic check it over a few months prior. It had several problems that were easly resolved. The front axel had to be replaced and the water pump and surpentien belt had to also be replaced. They did a great job and subsequently our car needed something and we went back to them with our Honda car, also an older car that was making noise. They said it needed new steering fluid and they flushed it out and replaced the fluid. And charged a reasonable price. They have remarkable ethics and do a wonderful job. I would recommend them to my grandmother. Or any family member. 5 star and five kissies. We will return earily and often. Bless them! A rear find in our world. Truly good people! Kudos!!! Brings tears to my eyes because when i think of all the times when i was in hot water with a car and the shop i was towed to just was the oposit.I can not thank them enough for being good guys! Wow---ron and Javier are great! They are not overpriced like some garages. They were so kind to take me home, then drop the car off at my house the next day because I had my granddaughter and I couldn't make it down there. When Javier drove me home,(he has worked there for 20 years) I could tell what a really nice and honest man he was (as well as Ron, who could have charged us so much more, and we would have never known) In fact, my friend had the same work done to his car at another garage and paid over $150.00 more than what Ron charged us!!! We went there because a couple of our friends have gone there for years and told us how fair and honest Ron was, and what great work he does. FAIR, HONEST AND RELIABLE !!!!! I have always tried to use mechanics I trust, and I know enough about cars (working on many in my youth) to understand what an excellent, honest mechanic needs to be. I explained my problem, Ron listened, we shook hands, and he did the job. Period. Ron is a man who loves machines. Some folks have called him rude. I do not see it. If you just know, "it's broke" he may need to ask questions and you may not know the answers. That can make a guy/girl feel dumb. But Ron is not out to fleece anyone. He is out to fix your car the right way. You don't have to be an old white guy, or drive an American car. You may need to go in with a good attitude and be willing to listen and trust.
