I informed the gentleman I was a first time customer needed a full set and polish. I was there from 5pm until after 8pm. The second nail tech had to be told several times to stop from buffering out my cuticles she was very rough handed and a five year old did a much better job on my nails. Based on reviews, my daughter and I decided to visit this nail salon while on vacation. The inside is typical of a nail salon and appears very clean procedurally. We were taken back right away and given bottled water. I like that they provide a pedicure menu with pricing but don't like being pressured to upgrade when the basic is sufficient. After choosing a service, two techs pushed an upgrade, then chattered amongst themselves in a language I don't understand when I declined. This caused tension during what's meant to be a relaxing experience. As someone who has her nails done every two weeks like clockwork, I know what to expect and can be hard to please (my girl back home is amazing). I've done powder dips twice before and was displeased but decided to give it a try in order to make the color last longer while traveling. I LOVE IT! The tech did a nice job keeping the nails thin, which is a must for me. She suggested tips but due to my job which requires lot of typing, length isn't a good choice for me. Several small things made a big difference to me. The bottled water and powder manicure are huge pluses. However, I had to go buy a nail file (on vacation, remember) to take care of some uneven, pointy edges. I feel this was the result of rushed work. I also dislike my toenails - the job itself is poorly done, also a result of rushed work. Even my husband, who is the ultimate manly man, noticed missing polish on my toes at the pool. All these simple things that greatly affected my rating were caused by a rushed worker (or 2) trying to get to the next client. My daughter's nails look great! She is 14 and easy to please. Two different techs did her toes and hands. She had a third person wax her eyebrows and lip. I noticed a patch of hair missed on her lip. Again, she's 14 and easy to please. Would drive me nuts! This place does bait and switch on prices. I went there because I was in a hurry and this was close. There is a lot of pressure on their customers to upgrade. They talked me into getting a gel manicure and the owner said it would be $30. Once I had it on they said no it was $40. I did not get a pedicure that day but the owners said they remove the gel nail color off for free. I went back because one whole nail color popped off completely damaging my nails and they charged me $10. So the gel manicure for 2.5 weeks was $50. They only take it off for free if you are getting it done again! - Oh that explains it! She used a power nail file and sanded the crap out of my nails to get the rest of the color off and they are a mess. This place has questionable sanitation and they use the same brushes etc on everyone. I went here at 5:45pm yesterday and w asked for a full set with clear white. I had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for them to even start on my nails. They didn't give me what I asked for and the guy who did my nails gave me several cuts on my fingers because he was being too rough and I repeatedly told him and he just kept being tough on my fingers. It was my first time trying this nail salon and to try SNS. The nail shop was clean, a little outdated decor. My first SNS experience, I love it and it didn't take as long as I thought it would be. I had Christine who did an awesome job. My nails were completely coated and not too thick compared to most nail techs who tend to do just the opposite. She was very detailed. Highly suggest you make an appointment. That place is pretty busy and you will be waiting a while. I was lucky that Christine did my nails, it seems like she's the only one who gets highly requested. The other thing that I noticed was the other nail techs that worked there barely spoke any English or even understood. If it wasn't for Kenny the store owner or Christine they would all be lost. Before Christine did my nails I tried to communicate what I wanted to another girl and she would have to ask Kenny who would be busy with a client to answer. Even a girl who was getting their nails done next to me asked a question with her nail tech and she told Christine, who was doing my nails at the time, to answer. Communication is important especially if you're picky with your service. I had also had my pedicure done there. I would probably go somewhere else for that. A different lady did my pedicure. She took a very very long time and she scraped the side of my toe with a callus remover and pretty much cut me. They were very meticulous with cleaning your cuticles and the reflexology session on your legs and arms were to die for ... To. Die. For! I got acrylics and a pedicure here. My pedicure was wonderful and I have Melissa to thank for that. However, when I got my acrylics done it was with a different technician. This was my 2nd time getting acrylics and let's just say I wasn't pleased. She was trying to sell me on SNS when I told her what I wanted. She also made my nails crooked and cut me. After she finished she put me to a random dryer and walked away. She didn't say anything else and worked on a new client. When I went to leave and get my card from my wallet I looked down at my nails to see that they were messed up already (i.e. scratches, paint on my skin and chips). I left due to prior engagements and went back to have it redone which they did no questions asked. They just repainted everything they didn't fix the crooked ones or the build up of acrylic. What I would suggest is to do gel nails not acrylics. I had gel nails done the first time I went here and they were decent, that's why I returned. I know I am not the 1st person this has happened to, as went I got my gel nails done the first time my friend got acrylics. Her acrylics turned out the same way mine did she didn't return to have hers fixed. I'm giving it 3 stars because my pedicure was wonderful, they fixed my acrylics no questions asked, and the price was right. Yet, because I felt like I was just pushed away to another place with no real instruction and my acrylics weren't 100% they will not be receiving 5 stars today. read more

Went there to get my nails done for the first time in a while and was very excited for the chance to treat myself a little and got the absolutely worst service anyone could ask for. To begin with, as soon as I got there and showed the manager what I wanted to get done in my nails (long white stilettos with a detail in red), he laughed at me and said they couldn't do that. I said okay and still decided to give it a try with regular white/pinkish LONG stilettos, as I made very clear and showed many pictures for them to get the idea of what I was looking for. He put me to wait for the lady and so I did, and when she was ready, I showed her the pictures and told her I wanted my nails to be long. She agreed and began her work. As soon as she cut the acrylics and started to get to the stiletto shape, I told her they were too short and asked if there was anything she could do about it. She just looked at me and didn't say or do anything. She kept doing them and I also told her that they were too round, and not sharp as stilettos should be, and she said that they would be shorter if she made them sharper. I really didn't wanna cause any problem and was very polite to everyone I talked to in that salon, and even left her a tip, even though I hated my nails from the beginning. My friend and I paid and walked out and I honestly wanted to cry because of how much I hated them and how it didn't go as I was expecting it to go. I then got the opinion of other people and they all told me that my nails really don't look like what I asked for and that I should go back there and see if there's anything they could do to fix them. So I asked the lady if she could redo them, cause I really wasn't satisfied with the service. She said no, I would have to pay again. Then I asked for them to just take the nails off and give me my money back, because this really isn't what I was looking for. The manager said no and that I should have talked to him when I saw she wasn't doing what I wanted, because apparently these people are not capable of working on their on and giving what their customers are asking for. Really really upset, I was treated with rudeness and bad attitude, showing that these people don't care about their customers or their satisfaction, it's all about them and their money. Went with a friend of mine to get both our nails done. I had mine done well and it was okay, my friend on the other hand wanted them long and toned and she got neither, the lady doing her nails kept going even AFTER we told her to stop and that she didn't like them TWICE. After she finished and made us pay when we went out of the store in front of the sun, the nails looked nothing like what she asked for, nor was it pretty at all. So we decided to go back to see if she can do anything to help her or fix it, the lady started yelling in Chinese and said that if she would fix it we'd have to pay the price all over again so then we asked for a refund or anything because the nails were just bad, there was still glue crust falling off from her nails after we finished. the guy owner started saying that we had have told him not her if we didn't like the nails and that he wasn't gonna do anything. Came here because my usual salon was busy. At the door it says pedicures were $20 but when you get to the chair, they hand you a price list with the cheapest thing being $26. I asked about the price at the door but the lady acted like she didn't understand. The pedicure wasn't that great either, she kept getting up and going to the back area maybe 5-6 times, the finished product was sloppy and corners were missed. Absolutely the WORST experience ever! First, they were showing an R rated movie with nudity and I had taken my 6 yr old and 11 yr old daughters in with me for a girls day of beauty. I asked them to turn it off and they spoke in another language and never turned it off. I had already started with my nails and my girls so I told them to turn away from the TV. Second, the lady doing my 11yr old's nails cut her. She ended up going to the ER to have what became a HUGE infection cut open and drained. Then she was out of school with a fever from the infection and on anti-biotics for 10 days. I have the huge hospital bills to prove this. I paid cash so of course when I called to tell them I didn't get a receipt because I paid cash. I would stay far away from this place!!!!!!!!! Very upset because I did a shellac manicure and it chipped in 2 days. Went in and they redid it and it peeled again in a week. Went back recently to give them one last try, and assumed it was the color that was defective. The lady who did my nails filed them even more smaller than they were, causing an ingrown nail discomfort (the lady before too and my nails hurt for days until they started to grow a little) and then she put 2 bottom coats, 2 nail color coats, and then 2 top coats! Just like the other lady previously as well. I stayed quiet and thought to myself, I hope they don't chip! And here we are 2-3 days later and there's already signs of them ruining. They're great people but don't have the skill to do an exceptional job. They just "turn and burn" and make money but low quality! The prices are low! I had the pleasure of having Helen. I got a mani/pedi and really enjoyed the time she took to make sure it was perfect! I would clear a couple hours to be pampered. The decor is not as nice as I hoped with bright colorful lights all over the place takes away from everything else. The man at the front who I believe is the owner is plain out rude. I called two days before I was planning to come in to make three appointments and while he was taking down my information he confirmed the times as well as the service each one of us was going to have. On the day of our appointment, we showed up about 10 minutes early so we'd have enough time to pick out our colors and when we walked in the owner asked us if we had a appointment and when I said yes he only had me down for one appointment and 30 minutes later then our original time I had asked for. While he did "fit" us in, he made me feel as though it was my fault for the mix up. Again, he confirmed time and service we would be having two days prior when I made the appointments . Unfortunately, the bad service didn't end there. I had showed the girl doing my nails a picture of what I wanted and asked if it could be done, she assured me it could and even picked out the right colors to match the picture. While she was painting them, they looked nothing like the picture and looked as if my 5 years old daughter had painted my nails. It was so bad that the worker next to her told her to take it off and have me pick out a different color because " it didn't look good". I then Asked for just plain black and she came back with navy blue. Before I could tell her anything she had already painted 3 of my nails and I was just over it at that point that I allowed her to continue painting them. My aunt and cousin also didn't have a great experience and the paint job on all three of our nails looked very unprofessional. I just wanted to get out so I didn't even dare finish the rest of the services I had originally went in for. Again, while at the check out I was confronted with the owner and I began to tell him what a horrible experience we had all had and he went on to cut me off to pick up a phone call and being to be rude to the future costumer who was calling on the other line. I just paid and left. I would give them a -5 stars if I were able to. I went home and took the nail polish off right away as now I was scared at how clean they were given the experience I had.
