Cute little place! I had high hopes for the pastries, croissants, and muffins in the window. But, a few weeks ago I got the muffin: nice size but dry and flavorless. I thought I would try again and got a butter croissant. Ugh, dry as dust, no layers, no flavor. A croissant should be shatteringly flaky and buttery. Placed an order on 1/28 afternoon for nachos and lemonade ( apparently freshly squeezed) The nachos ( the cheese was too much ) but the beans was Nicely spread out in the nacho chips and lemonade ( the lemonade had ice in it ) was good Went back the next day since we were staying at a near by hotel Ordered the same things and added a hamburger well done no cheese ( not that great thick patty and it was not well done ) This time I asked for no ice in the lemonade and light cheese on the nachos As I picked up my order I was told by the cashier that they usually don't put ice in the lemonade , When I got the nachos the 2nd time the beans were in the middle of the nacho chips had to spread it out on top of it was melted cheese it was messy What i want to point out is Don't serve the food in a certain way on one day and different way in another day The only thing I think happened is that probably it was time to close the place they probably just rushed and prepared the food. read more

We got the Steak burrito and Huevos bolaros and they were okay... The tortilla on the burrito wasn't fresh. Good quantities of food otherwise. Eggs nicely poached on the Huevos dish. We had brunch for five here yesterday. Mainly went because it is a Orange County tradition - one of the oldest juice bars, etc.. The food was decent/good and everyone seemed satisfied. We found a better coffee shop down the main strip mid day. The younger girl bringing out the food was very sweet, unfortunately the lady taking orders sets the pace for tips. The Orange Inn is legendary spot in LB and a true gem! We came here for lunch with our 2 small kiddos, and they went to every length to make sure we were comfortable and the kids were happy with their meals. The menu is simple, but the ingredients are A+. Do not skip the sourdough bread if you're getting a sandwich, and my boys request the OI smoothie every morning since we were last there! First time there, and no regard to help us with menu and instead asked us to move to the side for someone else to order when there was basically just the other couple behind us. Burgers were phenomenal. Thick juicy beef patty seared to perfection covered with melted cheddar cheese. Came with crunchy lettuce, slice of sweet tomato, and side of tangy pickles. I live down the alley so I'm no stranger to Orange Inn for their pastries and delicious lunch options. This is a great spot to grab and go since the ocean is steps away so you can lunch with a view. Favorite things: chocolate croissant, almond croissant, breakfast burrito (I ask for extra salsa), chicken burger and the holiday turkey. The gluten free bread is great but it's very small compared to the other bread options which is unfortunate because you pay more for it but you get far less (it's the equivalent of 1/2 a sandwich vs a regular sized sandwich). Wonderful little place to eat the food was very good. Had a great experience until the very end. Let me start by saying the steak omelette was very tasty. It was nice the home. FRIES could've used a little bit more on the fryer, but they were so good Coffee was absolutely amazing Let's get down to the service. So the young lady behind the counter wearing a mask was less than. Polite. Pretty blasé, overall not very friendly, but the kicker was the end of the meal. As a courtesy and not knowing, I cleaned my plate and brought it up to the front instead of being thanked, I was chastised to leave everything at the front when I said something comical like my mother taught me to clean up after myself the response was well we don't do that when there's not a bus tub Who the hell says something like that? I just had breakfast at Orange Inn. 9/24/25. Never again. Had to kill a cockroach while waiting on my order. Dirty filthy restaurant. Soggy tortillas for my breakfast burrito. French Toast is FIRE here. I am not a huge French Toast lover, but now that I have tasted the Orange Inn's toast, I am a big fan now. It a nice place to dine and eat at. Toast is flavorful and delicious. Service is good, and I will be back again. read more

Solid diner which is super cute and small for a nice relaxing breakfast. I wanted to give higher stars but unfortunately we had 2 issues wrong with our food - first being that there was a broken off piece of a toothpick in the middle of my husbands sandwich (lucky he didn't swallow it) and my burrito had a full chunk of avocado pit in it that was as hard as a rock. Other than that service was pretty slow but typical for a small place and the inside was super cute. A bit pricey for quality of food also but nice location. read more

The customer service was terrible and the food was even worse. Cold breakfast burrito with barely any bacon. Disgusting school lunch type food. No seasoning or flavor. We paid for bacon for my wife and they never brought it out and then when my wife asked the lady wearing a mask, she rudely said "you must not have ordered bacon then" and my wife showed the receipt and we did indeed order the bacon and she goes "oh well you said a SIDE of bacon, not ADD bacon" ... as if it made a difference. Then it took 12 minutes for them to bring out the bacon when it wasn't even crowded and the bacon was burnt af and smells like it expired 2 years ago. Horrible experience. Waste of money. Never coming back. And i promise im not a Karen I'm just tryna save other people from this awful place. read more

While strolling through Laguna Beach, we happened upon the orange Inn. It is a small place, and looking at the reviews, it looks like I can get rather busy. There were only two people ahead of us in line and just a few others already eating, so we must have timed it perfectly. And since it was breakfast time, we decided to try this place out. You order from the counter and then have a seat and they will bring you the food. I ordered a ham omelette and my guy ordered a steak burrito. Mine was brought to me and my guy had to wait for his. And wait...and wait. Finally, he went up and asked - apparently they gave his steak burrito to somebody else and had to remake it. While they were apologetic, it would've been nice to have been told this in the beginning. I was already done with my meal before he got his. Taste-wide, he felt it was rather bland. But the people were nice and the quality of food was good. I would probably come back again and give it another try. read more

I typically opt for the Deluxe Oatmeal or 2 fried eggs paired with an English Muffin and Avocado. There's a unique buttery goodness to their grilled English Muffins that always leave me wanting more! Consider trying their fresh squeezed Orange Juice- it's the "ORANGE" Inn so OJ adds to the experience. Set your expectations accordingly. You order at the window and wait out front for your order. They do have a couple tables on the back, but I recommend walking a block to the beach and eating with an ocean view. Beyond that, any business that's been around since 1931 is worth a try! Stop by and experience it for yourself. We love the breakfast burritos! I get the potato, egg and cheese burrito but add bacon! My 3rd time here and its consistently delicious. This is a great walk up spot, if you want something on the go! Indoor dining was closed the past few times we went, although there is some patio seating around back. We LOVE this place!! Every time we come to Laguna we make sure to grab breakfast/brunch here. Our go-to order: English muffin with fried or scrambled eggs and either jam or if we're in a savory mood, avocado, tomato and sprouts. The food is SO good. They have friendly service and although you can't dine in, you can take your food and eat it on the beach which is only a few steps away. Their coffee is also on point. The prices here are probably the most reasonable in all of downtown Laguna. Their pastries look amazing too, we haven't tried them but I bet they're bomb. 10/10 recommend!! read more

I was literally obsessed with finding a good breakfast burrito in Laguna Beach. I looked on uber eats and most of the places were chain restaurants with huge fees ... then I decided to use yelp to search 'best breakfast burrito'. This was one of the places that came up ... after scanning reviews and seeing how close it was to my hotel, I was on my way. I planned to eat on the balcony of my hotel, so I did not mind that this was basically a stand and did not offer seating. There are a couple of communal benches outside but you wouldn't want to eat on them as the line and waiting area is right next to the benches, so people will be standing in front of you while you eat. Without further ado, let me tell you that this was one of the best breakfast burritos I have ever had. It was perfect in the taste ... portion ... proportion ... and construction. It was a steak and egg breakfast burrito with avocado added. All in, it was around $15, which is not a great value, at all. However, inflation is real ... and most other spots charged the same. It's sad that I can remember only 3 years ago (pre-pandemic) a breakfast burrito was around $8. Not blaming the restaurant because it is on par with others but that is the world we live in. 3 eggs were used, perfectly cooked hash brown-style potatoes, just enough marinated steak and fresh avocado. It was rolled up perfectly and stayed together as I ate it. It was served piping hot/freshly made to order. The only 'blah' part is they offered hot sauce in little packets ... I'd have expected a cup of fresh made. I also had a date shake ... something that you can only find in California. It was made with vanilla ice cream, honey and dates. It was as good as any milkshake I have had, although more of an ice cream type of product than the ones I have had in Palm Springs, which were a little more smoothie-like. The coffee was also good compared to what was at the hotel. Laguna Beach's best coffee though? I hope not. Overall, I'd come back here anytime for breakfast. Not sure how the pastries were but they looked just okay. There is an authentic french bakery just up the road I'd go to over this one for pastry. Thanks for the perfect breakfast burrito ...
