Wow ! Wow ! Love these guys. My forever electricians. I called OC Electric based on the 5 star yelp reviews and I am glad I did. I am adding another 5 star review to the rest of them. I wanted my laundry room outlet to work after 6 years of not working. Simple fix. The breaker was flipped but it wasn't obvious. I have breakers that flip but don't look like they flip. Then I had an outlet in the dining room that has never worked. It was hooked up to a light switch but we couldn't find any switch that controlled it so Ruben offered to wire it so it was always "hot" or on and that made perfect sense. Then the outside outlets got added as requested and done timely . They arrived promptly at 10 and were done by 11:30. Outside outlets were quoted at $530 in advance and that's what I paid for the job. The trouble shooting for the outlets that didn't work was reasonable at $125 vs $180 since one was just a breaker reset. I am supppppperrrrr happy and this was very reasonable and they were very pleasant. At the end of the day, I got 2 outside outlets added, and 2 outlets inside that weren't working and now repaired. Ruben is smart and learned electrical work from his Dad and I really respect children who pay attention and learn from their parents and then as adults have enough smarts to work the family business. I'd support OC Electric because the fees were reasonable, the business is family owned and super professional !!! I gave them a little extra to go have lunch on me. Thank you Ruben and Brian. You make a great team in my book. read more

My experience was great with Chris. He was staying in communication during the 4th of July week and was transparent on his schedule. He is personable and reasonable. He was able to fix my whole house fan with ease and the best thing of all, he runs a shop with integrity. Didn't even once try to do what you hear with certain locations with up selling or doing a whole new system when not needed. He's also a electrician, will be utilizing his serviced again in the future. read more

I'm very handy and almost never hire anyone to do anything for me. After pricing the whole house fans and remote for me to install, I called 3 companies to see what they would charge. Oc electric was the best price of the three. I bit the bullet and had them install my fan, and I'm Glad I did. They did a very clean installation and have used it every day since it's been installed! Thanks again oc electric read more

I was referred to Chris by a very trusted friend. Our electricity bill has been outrageous lately. We live in an older house in with a very old AC Unit that is ALWAYS on. My friend Susan told me about her whole house fan and how much it saved her with her ac/electric bills. I reached out to Chris to get an estimate of exactly what type of unit our house needed as well as some questions I had. He took the time to explain to me what the benefits were to having a whole house fan vs ac (the outside temp has to be cooler than the temp inside your house). So awesome in the evenings. I also appreciated his honesty when he let me know that we didn't need to spend extra money for a larger unit than what our house's size required. Chris was very professional and prompt in ordering the unit and during the installation. Most importantly, he reached out to me weeks after the install to see how everything was going with our unit and if there was anything he could do. Highly recommend both a whole house fan and Chris. read more

I've used a handful of different electricians in my lifetime and Chris is a super cool , honest guy. I called him about a whole house fan and he asked me questions about my house and what rooms I wanted cool. He explained the 2 units that would work and what he recommended. We set up an install date and he came and knocked it out and explained everything to me. And you know what else ? Something not many people do anymore. He text me a few days later and asked how I liked it and how everything was going. Not many people do that anymore. I highly recommend Chris for any electric work and definitely whole house fan install read more

Chris did a great job. He brought extra rug to cover the carpet and cleaned up all debris after the work. He is professional and responsible personnel. The fan is a little noisier than I expected, but it cools down my house when the outside temperature is low enough. read more

Chris at OC Electric was referred to us by friends who loved his work. Communication with Chris was incredibly easy. Super responsive, text friendly, Saturday and evening accessible. Our only regret was not having him out sooner. Even during a heatwave he installed our whole house fan within two days. VERY clean installation process. Chris put down drop cloths from my front door all the way to where he was working. Could not even tell he was there. read more

We recently bought a house and when it came time to sit down and decide on upgrades the first thing on our list was a whole house fan. Chris installed one two years ago for us in the condo and we knew exactly who to go to for the new one. Ordering the fan was as simple as a quick phone call. Chris showed up on time and treated our house as it was his own making sure there was no mess left behind. He protected the carpet and tile and even gave the dog some attention. Once the quick install was complete he gave me a fast lesson on how the controls on the new system worked and made sure we were satisfied with everything. Chris is our go to guy for any electrical problems we have and has the best customer service I've ever seen. He had to rescue us a couple times in our old house. He has always had the best price and you can't beat the service. read more

Great service. Fast and reliable. Reasonably priced and on time. Nothing not to love. Love the whole house fan and love the slick and clean install. I'm in the middle of a remodel and am dealing with tons of contractors and wish they were all like this. Easy to deal with, polite, and great service. The whole house fan is amazing, I don't think I even need my brand new AC system anymore. This keeps me cool on the cheap. Thanks! read more

We had our Quiet Cool house fan installed by Chris from Orange County Electric about 2 weeks ago and it has been amazing! Chris gave us a great quote, was very quick to respond to all of our questions, and was super informative in helping us to determine the best fan size/placement for our home. Installation was very easy to schedule, and Chris was very prompt the morning of. We discussed the best spots for the vent and control, and they both look great! We could not be more pleased with our entire experience with Orange County Electric and how great the fan works! Thanks Chris! read more

Chris is amazing! We had him install some canned lights in our home. He was super responsive, friendly, organized and thorough. I've heard horror stories of electricians leaving the place a mess when they are done, but not Chris! Everything was immaculate after he left. Our lights look amazing and we couldn't be happier. Will definitely refer him to friends and family and be using him again!! read more

Chris put in a QuietCool whole house fan in my house this spring and I absolutely love it. This has to be one of the best home products I have ever put in my home. He was very fast, efficient and did a great job cleaning up after himself. I give Chris a double thumbs up and would recommend him and QuietCool to anybody. read more

We have been using Orange County Electric for the past eight years. The first time Chris came out, he moved all the wires, that draped from the telephone pole to our roof, underground. This was done in accordance to SCEC guidelines. At the same time he replaced our circuit breaker box, doubling the capacity. He has wired and installed recessed lighting and pendant lighting in several rooms of our house. This past week, in 90 degree weather, our air conditioner stopped working. We had an air conditioner company come to check out the problem and they said it was electrical so we called Chris at Orange County electric. After thoroughly going over the system, Chris correctly diagnosed the problem as NOT electric, but as an air-conditioning issue. He recommended a reputable company which came the very next day. We highly recommend Orange County Electric. A professional, knowledgeable, and trustworthy business. read more

Chris at OC Electric could teach a class to other contractors on how to provide excellent customer service. He arrived on time, was very personable, cleaned up during and after the project, and there were no surprises. While researching whole house fans, I really wanted the largest unit available. We received several quotes and narrowed it down to two whole house fan manufactures-the QuiteCool Trition 5.5 vs. the ST 4500 The "other" company came to our home and told us that our attic fan was dead and needed to be ripped out and replaced along with adding the whole house fan. Their quote for installing their top of the line, 4500 CFM whole house fan and an attic fan was $3200. They offered us financing..... After talking to Chris about the QuietCool whole house fan, he convinced me that I would be paying way too much money for the larger unit so he we went with the QC Stealth 4.8. And the attic fan that was supposedly dead, Chris took a look at it and was able to simply adjust the thermostat and it started working again. You gotta love a contractor that doesn't try to over sell. He saved us close to 60% of what the other guys were proposing. Lastly, we were amazed the first night of using the whole house fan. We stood at the top of the stairs, turned on the unit, felt a warm breeze being sucked up through the stairway, and then ultimately, we felt cool air flow. Our downstairs area has always had airflow issues and remained very hot hours after the sunset. The whole house fan cooled our downstairs area by about 8 degrees in less than 10 minutes. If you're thinking about adding a whole house fan, do it and if OC Electric is available, hire him. You will not regret it. read more

Chris Hodge installed my Quiet Cool fan yesterday and I just love it! It makes such a difference having it in the house. We are now very comfortable, especially in the upstairs area. I can't say enough about Chris. He gave me the best price and lowest quote. He also made sure that our investment was worth it and that there was adequate ventilation to make the Stealth work efficiently. If you're ever thinking about getting one installed, OCE is the place to go. I assure you will not regret it! read more

Amazing! I was referred to Chris by friend of mine. I told her I was looking for someone honest, trustworthy, licensed, and knew what they were doing when it came to electricity. Chris fit the bill for all of these expectations. I had a long list of jobs that I needed done. Everything from installing multiple ceiling fans, hanging a variety of chandeliers, installing our Ring doorbell, removing and replacing outside light fixtures around the house, fixing outlets, and installing 5 new electrical outlets outside the house. Chris showed up on time, worked hard all day, and left my home clean. He used drop cloths and pays close attention to details. I am over the moon pleased with his work and will continually use him for all of our electrical needs. read more

This company was referred to us by our friend for the installation of our Quiet Cool system! Chris did our initial consultation- he was thorough, honest, and professional. We booked our appointment and Chris came for the install yesterday! We are so satisfied with the job he did... given that we are pretty selective and picky - this company met all our needs to satisfaction. They were prompt and courteous and explained everything thoroughly. A company and person you can trust to get the job done right! Highly recommend and will definitely be referring our friends and family!!! Thank you! read more

Oh my gosh! Chris is great! Every home we have owned we have installed the old louver style whole house fan. Since ours decided to start screaming recently we made the decision to install a new Quiet Cool Fan. We were surprised at the lack of customer service from other installers. Either too busy, didn't return our call, pricing was insane, etc. Chris called us back within an hour or two and made the effort to come to the house to assess it. We needed to do some work in the rafters prior to installation but Chris was back in a day to install. Installation went smoothly and we are in business! It's always been one of the best investments we have made in each home but the Quiet Cool Fan is a whole new experience! I'm not missing those louvers AT ALL!! Thanks to Chris for all his hard work, we are grateful! read more

Quiet Cool whole house fan has been one of my best investments! Truly thought it would be so much more! Chris not only installed my fans he also provided detailed operation instructions as well as manufacturer information. A great guy who provided me with excellent service! I am SO happy with my fans and I am saving lots of money too! Since installing the fans Chris has also provided many other services in my home such as recessed lighting throughout my home, adding electrical boxes, rewiring, and recently installation of a bathroom fan. Always pleased with his work! And I never have to clean up after him like I've had to do with other contractors! read more

Having the whole house fan installed was one of the best investment we've ever made. With several windows open this fan pulls a great amount of cool air from outside through the house and reduce the inside temperature in a short period of time. We have had the product for only 2 days but have reduced our AC usage by approximately 40%. The best part about this whole installation process was having it done by Chris from OCE. Chris was recommended to us by one of our neighbors who had the fan installed a few months back. Chris is a really nice and sincere guy. His work ethics is incredible. From the initial contact to the installation itself, Chris was very professional. He went well above and beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend Chris to anyone who wants excellent and professional service at reasonable prices. read more

After calling around for multiple bids to have a Quite Cool fan installed, I decided to go with Chris at Orange County Electric for several reasons. First, he is a local small business owner who did the work himself and did not contract it out to a different crew. (In other words, I only dealt with Chris.) Also, the prices he quoted were lower than other bids I received. He also patiently explained and answered all my questions. Chris was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product he was installing. I had heard of the system but did not fully understand how it functions or how to determine the size unit I needed for my house. Additionally, Chris arrived on time and completed the job in a reasonable time frame. He even cleaned after completing the job. As for the system itself, I simply love it. It reduces my overall energy usage. For example, I no longer have to use the air conditioner all night nor in the early morning. The Quiet Cool fan has been the most effective way to cool my house. read more

A little over a month ago Chris came and installed a QuietCool system in my house and I've got to say I really love it. It's been hot during the day so I've been running it all night since I've had it. I was curious to see what my electric bill would be and I was happy that it was only $84. If I had been running my AC to keep my house in the low 70s every night my bill would've been $300. My neighbor recommended that I use Chris and now I'm recommending him to my friends. If you are considering a QuietCool you have found your guy! read more

We recently had several things done at our house by Orange County Electric: Installation of a Quiet Cool Whole House Fan, some upgrades to our electrical panel that were desperately needed, and installation of GFCI outlets to bring our house up to code. Once I called and spoke to Chris, the owner, he was very quick to come by and review what was needed. He is very straight forward, no sales games, and does excellent work at a fair price. We love the whole house fan, wish we'd done that many years earlier, could have saved a lot more money on electricity over the years!! We also feel much better having proper electrical around the kitchen, bathrooms and garage. What was a bit of a mess is now safe and up to code. I'm a contractor myself, but I am NOT an electrician. I have worked with many of them over the years and have to say that Chris is the best of the best. If you need a whole house fan or ANY electrical work done, save yourself time and hassle and just call Chris at Orange County Electric. Honest, quality work at a fair price. You'll be happy you called him. read more

Chris was FANTASTIC! He was prompt in returning my calls, answering my questions and coming out to our home. One company said it couldn't be done and we should go with an "old school" type (and noisier) whole house fan. Another company suggested a smaller fan without coming out to our home. Chris came out, checked out our low pitched attic and made it work. One week out, even with the humid weather we have been having, our Quiet Cool works great. Even our greyhound likes the cool breeze to sleep in. We are sleeping better and no longer fear coming home to a hot house that we can't cool down. Thanks Chris! read more

We had arranged to have Chris install Quietcool whf today but ended up not having it installed.
