My Dell Inspiron laptop wasn't charging this morning, when I was at a local coffee shop with my power packs and neither of them were charging my laptop. I went on Yelp and looked for a tech support resource. I called Orange Coast and was given some helpful and free steps to see if that would work. I went home and plugged my laptop into the wall outlet and then realized it may be the power cord that was the issue. I have one at home and one in my backpack. Anyway, I appreciated the free advice and not having any pressure to bring it in for a fee. I will keep this number handy for future tech needs. read more

I called Steve and told him My computer wasn't working, I encountered the wonderful blue screen of death. So he told me to bring it to him and we discussed all options and the best route to take. He kept it overnight and was very reasonably priced. He was very knowledgeable and professional. We decided to back up my hard drive to make sure I could get to all of my files. Which was the most Important thing to me. I have deadlines I m working on. He saved me by getting to it so fast. Thank you Steve. I see why this place has such high and consistently high ratings. I'm autistic, and sometimes struggle in high stress situations. I live through the freelance work I do on my computer, so if it's down, I can't earn a living. My computer was a conundrum. Over a couple of days it was just stumping them. Then they found that my power plug on the case had slipped loose. And my CPU fan had gone bad. I've got parts on order, and they still managed to fix the power plug regardless. All I was charged was for the diagnostic which was very reasonable. These guys are great. I can't recommend them highly enough. These guys are great. Honest and fast with repairs or questions. Any problems with my computers and these are the first guys I call. My last computer started acting up, I brought it in and they gave me a loaner while they worked on it so I wouldn't be with out a computer for work. I've also purchased a few computers from them and a monitor that were all very reasonable and worked great, I use them every day. Took my Dell laptop in for a DC jack repair on Tuesday morning. They are the only local shop open at 9:00 am, and I had meetings that started at 10, so the early hour was a huge help. The did a quick check-in and estimate. When I said I found a lower price elsewhere, Steve and I worked it out. Got a call today and the part came in quickly and the install was done in no time. The space is smaller than their old location on Ellis, but the work is stil the same great quality. Hoping I won't need to see them any time soon, but if I do have a need, they will be the first place in the morning I go. read more

We bought a used laptop last year for Xmas from these guys. Within a year, the hard-drive failed. My husband took it in for repair, and they called with a $100 bill. The computer is not even a year old - that's ridiculous! My husband called to let them know that he was debating not even picking it back up for this price. And the a*@hole told him, "You have no choice. We already did the work on it. You will come pick it up!" Whew! Way to treat your customers buddy. I have used these folks on two occasions to repair computer. I walked in and on both occasions they fixed the problem while I waited. One repair required replacement of the power unit.. The second replaced the disc drive. Both repairs were very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this business for computer problems and repairs. read more

I was in a bind, short of cash but needing my computer. It's brand new but was running slow; just not working well. I was told that this place was very good and reasonable. I called and explained what the computer was (or was not doing) and was told to bring it in. I gave it to the gentleman and explained I had a cap of money I could afford at the moment and for him to check it out and give me a quote. He worked on it for about 30-45 minutes and then told me that he fixed it and put a program on it to eliminate all out-of-date and junk files and that I was to use it once a month (I use it weekly). And then charged me $50, the cap (max amount) I gave him. Well, got home and went on word and the print was microscopic, which it wasn't when I brought my computer in. And it was just as slow (little blue circles galore). I called him to ask how to fix the print size on the screen in Word and asked why was it still so slow. He said it was the make of the computer and he didn't touch the print size on the screen and then proceeded to look up how to change print size on the screen on Google and then told me to look it up on Google. I wasted $50. A friend of mine came over and fixed the speed in 5 minutes. I honestly would never recommend this company to anyone. I was worse off leaving the place than when I came in and $50 lighter. read more
