Looking at a Blue Screen on my desktop which then went to a scrolling dos. and everything froze. Tom and Annette were pleasant, professional, reasonable and kinda fun. Tom downloaded all my info first, then cleaned up my computer in a couple of days. Everything was the same as before and in the same place with no changes. All my pix, my huge ancestry and comic book programs, emails and saved reports from the past decade, were all perfect. The guy is Good. I highly recommend. read more

This is the place to get your computer needs done in a fast professional and successful matter. I came here with the fear of losing all my music works throughout the years since I had a bad hard drive and a few other things. I first had gone through a friend of a friend who do repairs and they didn't help at all and wanted to do the easy route of just deleting everything re installing windows and putting a new hard drive with no care of what I had there was valuable to me. In a matter of a few days got my laptop working like new and most important all my music project files saved and accessible. Got a backup copy given aswell. big thank you to ANNETE for helping and giving great service & most of all TOM man behind the work of my laptop! read more

Took my new HP desktop in to have everything migrated over from the old HP desktop. I explained exactly what I wanted and they did a fantastic job. The transfer was seamless and communication was great with respect to my options, etc. The price was very reasonable too. This is a local, 'mom & pop' type location that I would highly recommend. read more

Outstanding service! I just got my CPU back from being repaired. Thought I maxed out my internal 2TB hard drive, and requested a 4TB. Coast Computer bought what I wanted, but it my older PC couldn't handle it, so replaced it with a new ssd 2TB, and man oh man is it FAST. Got it back in just a few days and, now the PC re-boots in 15 seconds!! Even more amazing is that they charged a lot less than the initial estimate. I promtly recommended Coast Computer to another family member with PC issues. And you can stop next door for breakfast at the Steadfast Cafe or the Donuttery (on Beach Blvd) just South of the Salvation Army thrift store. read more

This review is long past due but just got a holiday special postcard from Coast Computer and reminded me I had to post. Needed an emergency recovery of my old computer over the summer with full Covid restrictions. I had pushed it past the point I should have until it was dead. Coast picked up my computer from my home and had it thoroughly evaluated and backed up on thumb drive and delivered back within 2 days. Extracted files and data I had not considered important but found I needed. Coast really took care of me and went the extra mile backing up files a had not considered. Priceless to me. This must come from much experience and a true concern and desire to provide an excellent product at a very reasonable price. Thank you Coast! read more

Our laptop was having issues everytime it went through an upgrade and reboot. Coast Computer was recommended thru local community forum. It was determined hard drive needs to be replaced. Even though we declined, as we would rather purchase a new laptop, the owners of this establishment were very helpful with recommendations on what to look for when purchasing a laptop. Owner even told us to call them if we were in a store to make a purchase if we had questions! There was a $85 service charge to diagnose. With that they fixed 2 apps erroring on boot, updated Chrome and windows, cleaned Spyware, fixed existing bad sectors and recovered passwords. Highly recommend this business. read more

My printer was given me trouble. What seemed like an easy do-it-yourself fix proved to be the opposite, at least for a computer ignoramus like me. Coast Computer to the rescue. They fixed the problem within a day and for a modest price. Guess who will be installing the new computer we plan on buying. read more

I recently bought my friend's gaming PC and wanted to move all the parts to a new tower. But somewhere along the lines, something went wrong and I was at a loss for what to do next. I searched & found Coast Computer on Google. I called and spoke with Annette who was very understanding and gave me a quote over the phone. I dropped off my computer that afternoon and had a pleasant chat with her & Tom describing what was happening and was assured that they could fix it. I was given an estimated turnaround time of 1-2 days. The next morning, Tom called to let me know that he had fixed the issue and had my computer up and running. He even reformatted my computer per my request. I went to pick up my computer almost exactly 24 hours after I had dropped it off and everything was up and running. The quote that I was provided over the phone was exactly what I paid. Tom & Annette are both wonderful & kind people who provide honest service at a very fair price. If you're in need of computer repairs, look no further. read more

I will say that 5 stars is not enough. 10 Stars is more like it. Simply put I brought my 6 year old HP Elite Desktop Comp in for repair after what appeared to be a power failure pointing to the supply. Within a day, done, fix and working brilliantly. Not only did Tom fix the system, he also installed a new video card which I know had a fan cooling failure and installed a backup HD for me for more storage. He and his wife are 2 very friendly, genuine, professional, courteous and most importantly knowledgeable folks. I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived for the 1st time to assess the computer. They were transparent, honest and so fairy priced and flexible. I highly recommend and promote Coast Computer and it's owners. I will say this, to anyone who needs their computers repaired, give them a call, you don't have to be an expert, because they will not tell you something is wrong when it isn't and they also provide tips and guidance. They fix what is wrong and do not fabricate issues. I got more than I paid for and then some. I will be utilizing them going forward if I ever need anything for my machines. Thank you Tom and Annette VERY MUCH!!!! P.S. Yes I submitted this review from the computer you repaired and it is working fine! Regards, Anthony read more

This is a great computer repair business. I have had my computer in there three times in the past five years and every experience has been exceptional .. particularly just recently when I was having problems with Windows updates which turned out to be a lot more involved. Their prices are fair and reasonable and their customer service is outstanding. Can't say enough about them. Use them .. you won't be disappointed. read more

I dropped off my laptop for repair, my credit card was pre-authorized for $85.00. I came to pick up my laptop and I paid cash. Today on my statement I have noticed an additional $85.00 charge, When I called, Anette told me that the job they did was for 2 hours. THAT IS NOT TRUE becasue when I picked up my laptop I said that I am going to pay cash, that time Anette said it will be $85.00. She did NOT say it will be $170.00! DO NOT GO to this shop! read more
