I came here with the fear of losing all my music works throughout the years since I had a bad hard drive and a few other things. I first had gone through a friend of a friend who do repairs and they didn't help at all and wanted to do the easy route of just deleting everything re installing windows and putting a new hard drive with no care of what I had there was valuable to me. Outstanding service! I just got my CPU back from being repaired. Thought I maxed out my internal 2TB hard drive, and requested a 4TB. Coast Computer bought what I wanted, but it my older PC couldn't handle it, so replaced it with a new ssd 2TB, and man oh man is it FAST. Got it back in just a few days and, now the PC re-boots in 15 seconds!! Even more amazing is that they charged a lot less than the initial estimate. Our laptop was having issues everytime it went through an upgrade and reboot. Coast Computer was recommended thru local community forum. It was determined hard drive needs to be replaced. Even though we declined, as we would rather purchase a new laptop, the owners of this establishment were very helpful with recommendations on what to look for when purchasing a laptop. Owner even told us to call them if we were in a store to make a purchase if we had questions! There was a $85 service charge to diagnose. With that they fixed 2 apps erroring on boot, updated Chrome and windows, cleaned Spyware, fixed existing bad sectors and recovered passwords. Highly recommend this business. read more

This review is long past due but just got a holiday special postcard from Coast Computer and reminded me I had to post. Needed an emergency recovery of my old computer over the summer with full Covid restrictions. I had pushed it past the point I should have until it was dead. Coast picked up my computer from my home and had it thoroughly evaluated and backed up on thumb drive and delivered back within 2 days. Extracted files and data I had not considered important but found I needed. Coast really took care of me and went the extra mile backing up files a had not considered. Priceless to me. I recently bought my friend's gaming PC and wanted to move all the parts to a new tower. But somewhere along the lines, something went wrong and I was at a loss for what to do next. I will say that 5 stars is not enough. 10 Stars is more like it. Simply put I brought my 6 year old HP Elite Desktop Comp in for repair after what appeared to be a power failure pointing to the supply. Within a day, done, fix and working brilliantly. Not only did Tom fix the system, he also installed a new video card which I know had a fan cooling failure and installed a backup HD for me for more storage. He and his wife are 2 very friendly, genuine, professional, courteous and most importantly knowledgeable folks. I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived for the 1st time to assess the computer. They were transparent, honest and so fairy priced and flexible. I highly recommend and promote Coast Computer and it's owners. I will say this, to anyone who needs their computers repaired, give them a call, you don't have to be an expert, because they will not tell you something is wrong when it isn't and they also provide tips and guidance. I dropped off my laptop for repair, my credit card was pre-authorized for $85.00. I came to pick up my laptop and I paid cash. Today on my statement I have noticed an additional $85.00 charge, When I called, Anette told me that the job they did was for 2 hours. THAT IS NOT TRUE becasue when I picked up my laptop I said that I am going to pay cash, that time Anette said it will be $85.00. She did NOT say it will be $170.00! DO NOT GO to this shop! read more
