My MacBook was running very hot and the fans were also so loud. I found this computer shop location close to my convenience and decided to give them a call. The owner was very helpful and friendly over phone, he agreed to take a look at my laptop to assess the issue. Once he open up the back cover of the laptop, he showed me how dusted my system was and how the fans were clogged up with layers of dust. Then he cleaned it up and went out of his way to re-apply thermal paste for a better cooling system. Ka is really knowledgeable and passionate about computers. I think I know a bit more than the average Joe, just enought to get myself in trouble, but Ka is an expert. I took in my gaming desktop after I accidentally corrupted the bios on the motherboard trying to do a bios flash update. Unfortunately it's a common issue on the motherboard I had. Ka was super patient and tried manually updating the bios chip with a programmer. He even bought a different kind of connector to see if he could salvage the motherboard. He took the time to explain everything and give me options to get my system working again. Unfortunately, the motherboard was beyond fixing and needed to be upgraded anyways. Ka gave me some good recommendations and what to look for in purchasing a new motherboard. Once I got the new board from Amazon, he pulled out all the parts and put it all back together with the new motherboard. He even upgraded the system to Windows 11. I brought in a custom built gaming PC for Ka to examine. I initially messaged Ka through Yelp chat and got a quick response back. My PC would not boot at all after upgrading my GPU. Initially I was worried that other PC components shorted out but I wanted to make sure that it wasn't just the mobo that died on me. I came in near closing time as I wanted to drop off my PC and Ka asked a few questions regarding my PC and I voiced my concerns. I was surprised that he was willing to take a quick look at it despite it being nearing closing as he opened up my PC case and checked if it was something related to the PSU among other things. The next day he gave me another call as he did a few more tests and concluded that the motherboard was the main cause. I went to MicroCenter that came day and swapped out the motherboard for a new one and he offered to install it for me and put my PC back together for a reasonable price. He was even kind enough to help carry the PC back all the way to my car. I came in with issues around my new power supply that I had bought the day prior to coming. Ka was super helpful with explaining each step of the process. The issue was that one of the SATA cables was being reused so it wasn't compatible with the PSU so the computer wasn't being turned on as a result. I was super satisfied with that alone but Ka went an extra mile and helped me organize my cables and even setup LEDs that I've been way too lazy to bother doing. He ordered the parts from Ebay & I paid for the parts, plus tax & $50 labor cost. Pick up was easy during COVID, as I messaged him ahead of time and we agreed on a time. My dad and I went on Tuesday October 15, 2024 to repair for my laptop on this place then we met Mr KA Nguyen. He is very super intelligent to fix my laptop. Unfortunately, my current hardware is no longer actived and he recommended to upgrade the hardware from 250GB to 512GB but of course he charged me. As myself I should have done while ago to take my laptop into this place. So anyways if anybody has problem with hardware issues on the laptop and my recommended is taking the laptop to this place and Mr. Ka Nguyen will help to solve issues on the laptop with hardware. If anybody leaves the hardware issues with data loss and Mr. Ka Nguyen recommended to have backup in 5-6 months but otherwise the hardware issues with data loss is no longer to recovery. By fixing hardware issues with data loss will cost between $700 to $1,500 when anybody has chance to recover but not worth for spending expensive pricey at all so unless to make earn more money then it will be chance to recover. My current hardware with data loss will be keep. I agree with Mr. KA Nguyen for his technician expert on the laptop issues. He is super friendly, well being, calm and patient.
