COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big because they share the lot with many other establishments. I have been coming here for over 20 years. Never had an issue with parking. Also, some parking spaces are wider than others. So be careful where you park. Food: I ordered two sides of orange chicken and half chow mein and half chow fun. For $13.16, I thought it was worth it. Portions are huge. The orange chicken was golden, crispy, crunchy, and bite sized fried chicken coated in a very sweet, yet tangy and savory orange sauce. Soooooo yummy. The chow mein noodles were cooked al dente, which was perfect for me. It had boiled carrots and cabbage. The noodles, carrots, and cabbage were cooked in soy sauce, so it was a bit salty, but not overly salty. It was delicious. The fried rice was made with rice, soy sauce, eggs, onions, carrots, and peas. It was a very simple and savory dish. You can never go wrong with their fried rice. Staff: The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. I remember when I first came here, they were a cash only store. I pass by Orange Chicken Express all the time when I go to GW Supermarket. The interior is pretty old school. I came in two hours before the closed and they still were making fresh batches of food. Like the name of the place, they indeed sell orange chicken. I got a plate of their noodles, beef and broccoli and orange chicken and the pork ribs with a side of eggroll. 1 Star - Disappointing and Deceptive I really wanted to like Orange Chicken, especially with how amazing everything smelled when I walked in. But unfortunately, that's about where the positives end. The restaurant itself is oddly lifeless--there's no color, no atmosphere, and even the food photos on the menu look washed out and unappetizing. That should've been my first clue. When I ordered, the portions looked generous at first, but it quickly became clear it was all an illusion. I tried several dishes--string bean chicken, king pao chicken, and beef and broccoli--and they were all the same: 99% vegetables, barely any meat. They even cut up little vegetables to look like it might be protein when there's barely any. I'm not exaggerating--it was like they were hiding scraps of protein among mountains of soggy green beans and limp broccoli. To make matters worse, the food itself was drying out under heat lamps, giving everything that overcooked, stale texture. It felt like I was being served leftovers from an already disappointing buffet. I'm giving this place 1 star in my mind, and honestly, I don't think places like this should be allowed to continue operating. I came to Orange Chicken this evening, for a casual, cheap dinner. My family and I have all been to Orange Chicken Express, and I really enjoy the place. I got Combo B, with half and half fried rice and chow mein, and two sides. (Which, I chose black pepper beef, and, of course, orange chicken.) I also got a side of two veggie eggrolls, all for $15. In my opinion, the food is good, and that perfect American Chinese food one craves. It's was quite empty in there, so it was just my mom and I. It's a nice little place, and you can sit down, but I chose not to. The interior is clearly vintage, but not in a bad way. I actually quite enjoy the baby blue tiled walls, and the large mirror covering one of them. The service is always quick and friendly. Not to mention, they absolutely load up the plate. Of course, I got the orange chicken which was good. Different than Panda but good and less batter. Also got the beef with green beans and the eggplant and tofu with just the chow mien. They're what you expect from a place like Orange Chicken and I'd say a 2-item combo is enough food for two people. I'd focus on the proteins next time as another customer ordered and had to wait for teriyaki chicken which looked good so next time may just be a 2-item combo with chow mien plus orange chicken and teriyaki chicken. For what it is (fast food take-out chinese), this is great. Food is far from gourmet but definitely hits the spot. Food is flavorful enough and not over salted. The orange chicken is crispy and veggies are not overcooked so they still have texture and crunch. And the portions - they are omg huge. I think one $11.99 (2 item) plate can feed 3-4 people. Such good pricing is rare these days. Service is efficient and I can't say much about ambiance as it's a take out place. Would definitely come back to for a quick cheap eat! read more

Still a great spot! Used to come here all the time when I was younger. Just moved back to LA and started my business so I thought I'd drop off my business card and grab a plate. I love the noodles and the orange chicken is solid. The one comment I'd make (and this is just personal preference) is I'd love if there was more cabbage in the chow mein. That's just me though! First time coming here and trying it out. Right when I walked in I was greeted happily by the employees which really makes you feel welcomed. The establishment is spotless, the tables and floors were very clean. I ordered the orange chicken and eggplant with tofu along with some chow mien and fried rice and a Thai ice tea. The food is great, orange chicken is good and crispy. The eggplant with tofu has a good flavor to it and isn't soggy. The chow mien and rice is cooked perfectly. The Thai ice tea was made well, not overly sweet and it comes in a sturdy tall plastic container. The portions they give you is more than enough. They really hook you up. I don't know how she packed all that food in this little styrofoam container with the 3 spaces but she did. I couldn't finish the entire thing. The orange chicken beats panda -when it's FRESH- buut it has a shorter halflife just like how 7-11 pizza has a half life that's faster than other places like the Hut or Doms. The old ladies are nice but asking for fresh they just took it to the back and made more and the older lady did this trick where she scooped the older stuff in your box -from the bottom- of the tray instead of actually giving me any of the new stuff on top. I thought it didn't matter. Until all the chicken pieces are cold when I went for them ten minutes later. Not cool. The stuff other reviewers say about food being old is true. Chicken teriyaki I had was dry and hard almost like jerky. They wanted to put the teriyaki on top but that's the way to hide how old it is to drown it in sauce and hope that remoisturizes it. So stay on them like a hawk for that behavior. Price now is 13.99 for three items. 11.99 for two. It's not worth the third item that comes in a TINY boxed container. It's about as small as panda's third item. The lady packed in a couple extra pieces knowing what she did and that I didn't complain about it but it was wrong of her to be that way to me. I forgot why I myself and others stopped going. Before the pIandemic it used to be very busy. They need to cook smaller portions or cook to order instead of having food just wait around. It takes like 5-10 mins to make new and when it's slow they need to do this or the food isn't good. Literally only a half hour ago there were several people inside before I went to pick up some grocery items next door. How the orange chicken got so old so fast is beyond me. Maybe the others didn't get it and it was an hour old. You kind of can tell looking at it because the breading is all soggy. The staffws very helpful in helping me carry containers to my car. The boss lady handed me an additional package, saying, "20 egg rolls & additional chop suey vegetables!" The extra goodies were much appreciated, as we had a few vegetarians who showed up! This was a very nice way to show their appreciation for our large order!
