They looked up my insurance benefits and was able to explained to me what my insurance covers. Within 30 mins, they brought me over to the frames selections and let me have my personal tour/picking of a new pair of glasses. If there is anything for improvement, I just wish they slow down a bit! But overall, I appreciated the no BS and explain to you how it is experience. Update: I've come here a few times since I posted my review (about a year ago) and I've felt unwelcome by some of the receptionists. I get it, it's early and we all want to be in bed but, they really could work on their tone and body language. I really didn't want to write this since I genuinely do love this place. But because he does not have insurance he also had to pay a doctor checkup fee of $250. It doesn't make sense that we paid almost a thousand dollars for a pair of glasses, and yet we still have to pay the doctor fee? Here is some even more good news: they charge a credit card fee if you don't pay cash Its 2026 and you are a business and still charging credit card fees come on man. There are plenty of optical stores in Flushing, so please do your research before going to one but we won't be coming back here.

I would never go back again (not even to fix my glasses that is kind of tight right now) because I do not want to see them again. I left very unhappy that day and did not want to argue with them. I forgot her name but the first doctor I saw was really fantastic with the exam. I had a ton of concerns cause I know less than 12 year olds about contacts and she was so reassuring. I then had some training done with Vanessa. Vanessa is so sweet! The other plus with iLook - I got soft contacts and compared the prices between iLook and 1800 contacts and iLook proved to be cheaper actually! Even my mom wants to see them now.

One cautionary note: I wouldn't bring horn frames here. Mine cracked along both rims a couple of weeks after I got them back, quite likely due to the lenses not being etched down sufficiently, although I cannot prove it. They were kind to have new lenses put in a plastic frame for no additional charge. iLook does warn of the risk of breakage of horn frames, but for plastic or metal frames, you can rely on their great service and professionalism.
