I was pleased to begin with until I received my $2000 worth of glasses/sunglasses. I was scolded by a staff person bc I used a eye glass cleaner (in open display for use), I found the glasses to not work after a week of desperately trying, but the receptionist found zero empathy for my condition (not being able to read) but insisted that it must be me and my not being able to use my new glasses. I am 55 and now how to use a bifocal lens! The support staff here was condescending on two events and after having discussed my troubles with the lenses I have learned I had a bad prescription and was sold a frame that was wrong for me. Bifocals should not be in a frame that sits VERY low on your face. So, their frame techs just want to make money and not guild you into the right frame for your prescription. Last year I went to Optical Solutions for a new prescription for glasses. The day I got the glasses I said something was wrong with them. They asked me to wait to change them because obviously it was me and not the glasses. I spent 2 months calling every week to tell them there was something wrong. I finally gave up and just accepted that my eyes were terrible and double vision was normal after working for a few hours. Two weeks ago I'd finally had it. I paid full price, no insurance since I only get benefits 1 time a years, and went to the eye doctor attached to our local Target. My glasses came in and the difference was noticeable immediately. The low level nausea I'd lived with for the last 10 months was gone. I could see. The double vision was gone. I spent 2 months asking the eye doctor at Optical Solutions to look again, insisting something was wrong, and they never once looked at my eyes again. read more

Not helpful! My husband made an appt for an annual eye exam. When he made the appt he gave all the insurance information including plan and member ID. We even checked the website to be certain they were in our Network. Only AFTER the exam was done did they say that as of 1/1 they were no longer taking our insurance. Never mind that we had made the appt after 1/1 so not sure why they didn't say that at the time. read more

I was on the island for vacation. I started having issues with my eyes.I was thinking an eye infection or possibly allergies. I called Dr. Campbell's office and without any hesitation they scheduled me ASAP. The office was full of patients but they still worked me in. So thankful for the compassion and excellent patient care that Optical Solutions gave me. I would recommend them. I had called several big store optical stores and they literally hung up on me because it was late in the afternoon when I called. They basically didn't care. If you have any optical needs... I won't go here again even though the eye exam was fine. The problem I encountered was that the contact lens pricing was deceitful and in error. The price quoted and that I paid included a $350 dollar rebate. In actuality the rebate was for only $250. This provider did not honor the price quoted and when I pointed this out they offered no solution to me. read more

My daughter lost her glasses in the ocean, so we needed a quick replacement. Keri and Kristin were fantastic. I figured it would be easier to get contacts. I got the prescription from our optometrist back home and called around to find a local place. When I called optical solutions, I got Keri. She made the process so smooth and easy. I emailed her the prescription and when I got to the store, the lenses were waiting. Kristin and Keri were super nice and accommodating. During a recent vacation in HHI, I lost one of my contact lenses. I contacted Optical Solutions in Shelter Cove and explained my situation to Kristen. She was very helpful and asked me to have my prescription faxed or emailed over so that she could see if they had any appropriate samples. About 15 minutes after I requested my prescription from my optometrist in Washington, DC, Kristen called me back to let me know that it had been received and that they did indeed have a sample that would work. I picked up a new pair of contact lenses about an hour later. Kristen saved me from my terrible situation just days before Thanksgiving. She and her staff were super sweet when I arrived. Worst place to buy glasses; paid $882 for reading glasses, which I wear off my nose. They had HD lens and progressive lens. They came in scratched but I could see perfect, they sent them back for replacements. The second pair I couldn't see anything, the girl told me to move them up my nose. I told her I ask not to have to do that, she said you have no choice now....very rude. I sent them back, the third pair has no progression, no HD, just plain old 2.0 reading lenses. I asked about a refund, they snickered, and said they made me 3 pair, and that's as good as it gets. So I paid Big Bucks, for a pair of $25 reading glasses. I will never go back to this place, and I will let my friends know why. read more
