I was visiting my parents and gave Optical Outlets a try since I needed to update my prescription. The staff was very professional. I cam as a walk- in and they were able to fit me in with a very short 15 minute wait. The optician was very thorough during the exam and worked with me to get the best prescription for both near and far sightedness. I paid a small fee to have my glasses sent to me when they were finished. I received my new glasses just 8 business days after my appointment. They are perfect and gave me back my mid-vision. The store had a nice variety of frames and I was able to find 2 pair that looked great. This will be my new eye doctor. read more

I took my daughter for an eye exam today and was highly disappointed. No part of the exam was explained so she didn't know what to do. The dr was unfriendly and rushed through the exam. I have a different eye dr and my exams have always been much more in depth. She dilated her eyes without explaining what she was doing or what to expect afterward. Luckily she had sunglasses in the car to protect her eyes after we left. The front desk girl didn't say anything when she finished her exam so we weren't even sure if we needed to check out or if there was a copay. This place has absolutely terrible customer service skills. My daughter's glasses had to be remade twice and still were unusable. I asked them to take her current in-date prescription which was completed by the on-site Doctor and apply it to a pair of glasses from their selection. Total fail! This has been my children's Optometrist for years and never an issue. The phones ring off the hook while the front staff play on their cellphones. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! For example, recently, they gave me a major cost break when I asked for my new eyeglass lenses to be changed, even though they had previously told me that they would have to charge me again for doing this. Save yourself the headache. Got both of our glasses wrong. Mine were wrong a second time and I could only see very blurry. The manager told me they could not make my prescription; that they tried and failed both times so they were not going to try again. She asked for my doctor's medical record and I provided it. When I took it in another technician said she can't figure out what it means. They are incompetent and unwilling to do the job. I have made five visits now. Since they can't or won't make the glasses with my prescription and medical record, I asked for a refund. Do not bother going there. It has been a complete waist of time and a headache. In the end they did not do their job and provide an accurate pair of glasses. They have been a complete failure. read more

These people charged my CC and were paid before I got my glasses which had to be sent back because the script was wrong on the ones they had made. They told me to take the one pair home and try them, as I wasn't used to trifocals which I had been wearing for the past 5 years, because I told them I couldn't see properly through them, they sent the other pair out to have redone because they were totally wrong script. This was back in November of 2017 and I didn't get the second pair back until December 21st. They were still not correct, so I threw them in the garbage at the store, with the salesperson watching me. Then they had the nerve to call my home to find out if I had dropped the glasses in the trash by accident. I contacted corporate the same day and got blown off by them, no answer. You buy cheap you get cheap, stay away from Optical Outlets. read more

I was at Optical Outlets today and I went in feeling uncomfortable because I haven't had an eye exam in 5+ years. The staff is so great! They instantly made me feel comfortable. They are so polite, friendly, and professional. The doctor was great and very thorough. After the exam was done it made me question if I've ever had a good eye exam before today. All in all I have nothing but positive things to say about Optical Outlets. I have already recommended them to a couple of my friends. Keep up the great work! read more

I came here the other day to get glasses. The staff is super friendly and funny. They crack jokes about that I machines and made me feel more comfortable. The glasses selection however was very slim but I did find a pair of glasses that I liked and it was well under the budget that my insurance gave me for glasses. The doctor that checked my eyes was not weird at all which I have a problem with finding a eye doctor Who isn't weird. He was nice and friendly and funny quick and easy. The whole process took about one hour. The woman who processed my glasses ordered did not pressure me into upgrading me on my lenses she did offer the glare or free lenses and trying to sell me on it but did not pressure me at all. I look forward to picking up my glasses and updating the review on how they turn out. read more

I'm so satisfied with the service I received at Optical Outlets. Everyone was so nice and extremely helpful. I had my eyes examined on a Monday and early Saturday morning I received an email that my glasses were ready to be picked up which was a few days earlier than I expected. You are better off going to a real eye frame place, they only warrant their frames for 30 days, my old eye place which I am going back to gave me a 1 year warranty on the frame, and they had the nerve to try and offer me a deal to buy more frames...nope you got me the first time but should have known the word outlet would mean cheap. read more

I usually avoid the optical shops in the malls and stick with an ophthalmologists office. However, this was what was covered under my new insurance, so I went. Dr. Malde turned out to be very knowledgeable and very personable, and it was obvious early on that I was in competent hands. Today was the second time I saw her, the first being a bit more than a year ago, and she clearly remembered my previous visit, making references to results and even things from conversation that would not have been in my chart. That's a really good doctor! Sergio approached me while I was looking at frames. He let me know what my insurance would or wouldn't cover, what options I had, why each was important, and so on. He answered all my questions, and once I decided on what to get, he repeated my choices to make sure that he understood me, and that I understood what I was asking for. I never felt bored, or like he was talking too much, or trying to push me. He was friendly and helpful the whole time, and I never doubted that he was really trying to make me happy with what I was getting. read more

Worse customer service ever. My 16 year old daughter had eye appointment. She was taken to a small room and asked to remove her contacts. She was then instructed to have a seat in the lobby. Approximately 20 minutes later the doctor called her name. I got up to go with her and the doctor said there was no need. My daughter came out about 3 minutes later. I was surprised at how quickly she returned. Said her eyes had just been dilated. About 30 minutes later she was called by doctor again and once again came back out in 3-4 minutes. How do you do an eye exam that quickly? The receptionist sat down with us and asked if we wanted 6 months or 1 year worth of contacts at $120 for 6 months. She then said insurance paid up to $75 for glasses so my daughter went to pick out frames. She came back with a pair that was $40 over budget but I agreed to pay difference. The receptionist then rang up for the glasses and told me it was $105. I asked how did glasses go from $40 to $105? She said $40 for glasses, $5 co-pay and $60 for contact fitting. I told her no one told me there was a fee for fitting and no where was there a sign requiring this not even on the paperwork I filled out for the appointment. The receptionist went and talked to doctor and came back and said I had to pay it. I told her I wasn't paying for something I didn't know about. I was then told I should have gone in the room with my daughter. I said I was told by the doctor that she did not need me in there. My daughter also agreed that she was not told of this fee either. At this point I got up and walked out of the store. I just recently had my eyes examined and contacts fitted at another facility. I did not pay an extra fee and the doctors spent a good 20 minutes doing an eye exam on me. This place is a rip off and I have reported them to the insurance company and I will tell everyone I know not to EVER go there. read more
