I went for an eye exam around June 2nd or 3rd and needed a new contact lens prescription. So before receiving my new contacts I had to pay $176.00 (with insurance.) The lady told me 3-4 days because I had a specialty prescription. After 5 days passed, I called to see if my contacts came in. The lady on the phone said oh no it's going to take 3-4 weeks because they were a special prescription. After the 4th week, a very nice woman, I believe her name was Stephanie was helpful. She apologized but said it my new contacts would take 4-6 weeks from what the company said. I asked for a new pair of trial lenses and they gave it to me without costs. It's July 27, 2025 and approaching 8 weeks and I still have not received my new prescription. I've never heard of waiting two months for a contact lens prescription. read more

We visited Lens Crafters yesterday and was our first time. I will be honest, I was not sure what to expect or costs to get a pair of glasses. My wife and I were blown away from the customer service provided and the confidence we had in them to get exactly what we were looking for. Deanna G. was AMAZING. If I ever need to go back to get glasses, I would work with her. She was patient, understanding, incredible. Obviously your insurance helps and making sure it is works with the store. This was my third visit to this location my first visited resulted in a slight misdiagnosis my second visit was to acknowledge the miraculous recovery and I was informed I didn't need a double cornea replacement, yes I was relieved, puzzled and confused since I've always been very fortunate to have healthy eyes and although I was a little freaked out at the time I just wrote it off since I knew I would never accept a ridiculous diagnosis without getting multiple follow ups from other specialist. My follow up was successful and I went about my business dismissing the incident. When I planned this appointment it was without hesitation, I booked it online and it seemed easy peasy just as it was for my initial visit. This location is about an hour from my home but getting a weekend appointment made it well worth it and since my prior appointment ended well I felt okay about returning, actually since I was a returning customer I figured I'd be in and out without issue (I'm pretty sure my file is filled with some very interesting notes). Upon arrival I was greeted at the counter at the front of the store and directed to the receptionist in the rear - after not being acknowledged there I grabbed a seat while listening to her personal phone conversation and watched as she dismissed herself. We did connect upon her return and after presenting my insurance information to her she quickly dismissed it stating they don't accept my carrier - then told me I could keep my appointment if I wanted to pay out of pocket. I calmly informed her I confirmed my insurance with LensCrafters prior to confirming my appointment and she reply "I understand that and if you don't want to pay out of pocket she understood" and then told me they don't use the information I provided online. We have used this location several times since moving to Lake Mary area 6 years ago.. So we just came here today for our yearly exam again. Everyone had on mask who worked here. Which was great, they cleaned all the glasses and equipment. Still friendly service as well. Lots of great frames to chose from as well. Have to give a special thanks to Amy and Dr Wynn (the female doctor) both these ladies were amazing. Loved how nice they were to us and how they made sure we were well taken care of. Made an appointment and arrived 15 min early. Filled out paperwork and was very uncomfortable at the amount of people waiting. Twenty minutes later after watching people who arrived after me go in I was called in to remove my contacts and take initial photos of my eyes - then was told to go back to waiting room, waiting blindly without my contacts I went to reception after thirty minutes and was told I was next, only a few more minutes, after another 15 minute, I walked out. I was astonished at the amount of people working there chatting about nothing while at least four of us patients sat waiting. My family has been visiting Dr.Joseph Vo for a long time (18yrs) and you will not find a more through and professional eye doctor anywhere. He was able to detect an anomaly with my son's vision that we were not aware of and direct use to a specialist. While always following up with us and the specialist of the outcome. So I give the doctors office 5 stars....the Lenscrafters part were you purchase the glasses I will give it 3 stars. The staff is very friendly and Nancy who has helped me always tries to get me the best price available. My last visit she made me aware of a 50 dollar coupon that was offered by my insurance app. The only downside and it is a ongoing problem with company's today is that there are not enough employees. It's cut back to minimal staffing were we as the consumer suffers and that is Corporates fault not the people who have help me there. read more

To follow up, I notified Lenscrafters Corporate of my issue with them. The manager responded to me. He apologized and said they would do better in the future. I was also granted a $50 refund on my purchase. I am glad they did that and it does make me feel better about it. I don't know if I will do business with them next year when I need new progressive bifocals, but I guess I will keep check of their reviews and see what happens. I was immediately assailed by a female employee SHOUTING at me from across the room and demanding to know if I had an appointment! No "welcome to our store, how can we help you?" no simple greeting, but a loud DEMAND from across the room and worse, expecting me to YELL across the room through the entire store! HOW RUDE! I bought in my own frames exactly 2 weeks ago to get prescription lenses and the blu iq. At the time I was told it would be 2 weeks OR LESS. Here we are after waiting on hold 23 min this morning, then calling back and being told they should be here Tuesday but they haven't shipped yet. Umm I don't wear glasses recreationally I NEED THEM TO SEE. Please give people accurate estimates when you take their personal belongings. If I had known the wait time would've been more like 3-4 wks I would've gone elsewhere. Aug. 2018, Went in for a routine eye exam and prescription glasses. 2 days later Dr diagnosed me with cataract and would need surgery. Under the Dr's advisement I cancelled my order for prescription glasses and went in for surgery. Order was cancelled, money was refunded. Fast forward to Feb. 2019, surgery done, follow up check; need reading glasses. I have VSP insurance. When the sales agent tried to process my glasses, insurance declined since they had a claim from Aug 2018. LensCrafters cancelled my order BUT still got paid from my insurance. Fast forward to Mar 21, 2019; to this day I still do not have my glasses. LensCrafters saying that they updated and reversed the claim with VSP and would take 30 days. Now I'm no math wizard but Aug. 2018 to Mar. 2019 is more than 30 days. Bottom Line - they committed fraud. 7 MONTHS into this ordeal, I call Corporate, VSP and Mgr at branch on a daily basis now. Pretty bad. Went there to get some new prescription sunglasses. They said they could just read my old ones to get the prescription. I picked some out and sat down with Anita (?). She was fake nice, like the type of nice with a little bite/condescension behind it. Whatever lady, I can deal with fakeness, just give me some sunglasses. Well, the computer was down and she couldn't pull anything up. She switched to her desktop and said I can add you. Again, whatever lady. I tell her I've been here before, so I don't need to be added. With the sweetest of a condescending jerk, she said it's a new computer system and I have to add you and the one not working is the old system. Well, sorry, I'm not up on the Lens Crafters computer issues. Wtf. How am I supposed to know that?! She continued to talk to me with technical terms about things and I had no clue what she was saying. Of course that annoyed her, but she hid it with a baby voice. She thought it was hilarious that the computer was down on a Sunday and the computer wanted a day off, too. Hardee har har. My husband and 2 year old are waiting for me while she continues to push the app, close it, open it, close it, open it. Not saying sorry, or offering any other option. Finally I say, I'll come back some other time. She told me she would call me with pricing information. The doctor was great. The girl who helped me with my contacts, great. My insurance is accepted there for glasses. What they failed to tell me was that the appointment was not covered, nor was the temp contacts I received. $203 later I'm furious. They were so nice about it but did zero for me. As a matter of fact, they placed some of blame on me for not inquiring. They have lost a customer for life. Unacceptable service is a big "no no" is this competitive environmental. Great service when I bought the glasses but they didn't last two years. I've been wearing glasses for 50 years and I've never had a problem. I went back to the Sanford location for a simple adjustment and was told they couldn't be adjusted because the RayBan frames had "dried out" and any adjustments could result in the frames snapping. I'd had the glasses for 20 months. I also couldn't get the lenses cleaned adequately and I was told the coating had come off of them. When I bought the glasses I bought their cleaning solution. That was my ONLY method of cleaning the glasses -- not water, no other fabrics -- just LensCrafter cleaning solution and LensCrafter cloth. I asked how that happened and got a shrug. I asked how frames dry out and was told being in hot weather. The attitude from the associates was "too bad." I contacted LensCrafter online who contacted the store and replied with another "too bad" excuse saying I should've gotten the extended warranty. For glasses and lenses that cost about $650 I would expect better quality of goods and service. Never again. read more

I recently had a problem with my eye and needed to see a doctor. I have seen Dr Vo and another Dr in the past with good results. I called the office with an emergency was told I would have to wait for an appt which I did 3 days later. I arrived on time and was in their office for 2 hours. I had plenty of time to observe the front area while waiting. There were 8 people at one point in addition to 3 in the exam rooms. The Lenscrafters people were bringing referrals for exams. The staff ignored these people and after a long wait they gave up and left. Today I felt I needed to be checked again and called for an appt. I was told they do not make appts for medical problems, they just have to come and wait to be worked in. I explained what had happened they obviously did not care. So I will not be going there again. I will find a more professionally run office. read more

A five-star review for Ali and this LensCrafters location only because six stars are not available! My frames broke a few weeks ago and were beyond repair. I had bought them just over a year ago so was not expecting to replace them easily. Sure enough, when my husband called the store, Ali said that those particular frames were not in stock. My lenses are very expensive because they are progressives and one is a special prism lens, so I was looking at having to get an entirely new pair. But Ali said that she would put out an inquiry all around the country to see if any store had these frames. They turned up in a Chicago LensCrafters. But wait! We had purchased the protection plan when I got the glasses, and it had expired just 2 weeks before I broke them. And LensCrafters honored it anyway!!! That means that they are also replacing my lenses! I get perfect, scratch-free vision! This is excellent customer service. Thank you, Ali and LensCrafters.
