They sent text after text to get my husband and I to schedule and then when we finally did, constant, repeated reminders. They called 3 times in the span of a week to confirm, not to mention text messages. We were late to the appointment and was told only one of us could be seen, which was me. When we got there for the appointment, the first thing I was told was I was not due for an exam until April next year! I was truly upset! If the front desk was worth their paychecks, they would have confirmed this at the time of the appointment! So, I've lost out on a morning of work for nothing. So, check your policies before making an appointment, because they don't.

The lady told me 3-4 days because I had a specialty prescription. After 5 days passed, I called to see if my contacts came in. The lady on the phone said oh no it's going to take 3-4 weeks because they were a special prescription. After the 4th week, a very nice woman, I believe her name was Stephanie was helpful. She apologized but said it my new contacts would take 4-6 weeks from what the company said. I asked for a new pair of trial lenses and they gave it to me without costs. It's July 27, 2025 and approaching 8 weeks and I still have not received my new prescription. I've never heard of waiting two months for a contact lens prescription.

It's been years since my last eye exam. My most recent visit to the eye doctor was to tend to a…read morescratched cornea that occured at work several years ago. Thankfully I don't have any major issues with my eyes; regardless, I am overdue for a full checkup. Scheduling a visit with Dr. Hunt was a breeze. When you call the office a real person picks up on the other end. After a brief conversation and providing my insurance details I had an appointment for the following week, sweet! The representatives at the office call ahead to remind you of your appointment and also send a email if you choose to provide one. The office is tucked away off the main road and is in it's own building; one of several in this medical complex. The staff greet you when you enter and they do a great job keeping everything clean and organized. I was impressed with the layout, fitting areas, and variety of glasses frames they have available. Dr. Hunt was friendly and informative. I asked for the comprehensive vision and eye exam which includes dilation, several visual and ocular tests, and scans of both eyes. Note that dilation and other tests cost about $20 more, each. Dr. Hunt was very knowledgeable and provided valuable feedback while answering all my questions. Dr. Hunt also provided a prescription for glasses that would help reduce strain when reading or driving at night; however, he stated that I have better than 20/20 vision so It's not necessary at this time. All and all I had a great experience at Hunt Eyecare and definitely recommend them. If you are in need of a great optometrist, Dr. Hunt is the one.

All online. Realize that Dr Bever isn't accepting new patients, and try to call in for another appt / clarity on who the Dr would be. Called 6 times. VM every time. Called on a Monday (they are off) and left a VM. Got a text this morning, which I've asked not to be texted. Email or phonecall. Called 4 times today, saw an appt available for 1:45 and wanted to see if it was actually available and who would be the Dr. (I've called about 6-8 times since my initial booking / referral in 2 weeks) Randomly called about 20 mins ago, got someone abrupt and rude who was more about getting me off the phone than to address my questions. Made me feel stupid that I 'didn't see the note while getting set up for the appt'. You'll be put with someone else. I ask ok... is it always this hard to get someone on the phone? I was told there are 2 people at the desk all morning, my phone is the problem (yeah, calling from 3 different devices that all didn't connect right?). And when asking about the text? "Oh that was me, its easier so I don't have to call people 'that early' in the morning. The text was received 9:38am, your business opens at 10am. What are you talking about? "Aside from all of that, do you want to book with Dr So and so or not?" I choose not, thank you. And never again. I see the majority of these reviews are nonsense - I wanted clarity on what I was booked for and the person on the other end of the phone decided she was going to wake up and said "I choose violence' apparently.

Long story short the Dr and Staff made sure I received all benefits that my insurance coverage so not Out of pocked would be minimal. There must not be much turnover because we've been going there for just over 3 years and Jason and Carolyn have been there helping us every year! I feel like this is so rare and this place is such a gem. They're awesome. Just so friendly and helpful. It's nice to have a doctors office where you can trust the doctors AND the staff. My husband and I get eye exams there and contact lens exams as well. They take insurance but they also can see you without insurance. The cost for an eye exam without insurance is $60 and the contact lens exam is $120. We've gotten glasses there in the past and they're always reasonably priced. I also get my colored contacts from them and my insurance covers it just like any other pair of contacts! How fun right?? The office is great because they've always let me try on the various colors (amethyst, blue, gray, green, hazel... the list goes on!...) and then I order with confidence. They're super accommodating and patient. They never get pushy with sales or finances trying to make us spend more money. They're so respectful! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!
