Why wouldn't you call the patients scheduled and explain the situation? People take time off work. It's just a bit disrespectful of people's time and effort. I was contacted by the office after this review. Appreciate that and the explanation of the unfortunate timeline of events. I have bumped this up a star (ok) but overall my experience was still what it was. I explained that this is an experience of over 10+yrs of my wife and I as patients. I told her they were the wrong frames, and she said they were the right frames and there was nothing that could be done about it, but "that's quite a fashion statement you're making." The frames listed on my invoice were priced at $110, eleven dollars more then the ones I ordered. I asked for the doctor to call so we could resolve this, and instead she sent me a long and rather rude email ending in: "Surely you can appreciate why I cannot return every phone call made to the office, I am busy with scheduled patients like yourself". I made an appt at Walesby based on Facebook Neighborhood group recommendations as well as the yelp reviews. Dr Walesby and the staff exceeded my expectations. I had a broken wrist at the time, and so I was thankful to be able to fill out the patient paperwork electronically ahead of time. It's a small office, so there was no wait time. In addition to my normal eye and contact lens exam, I also ended up having an ulcer on my cornea, which Dr Walesby helped me to treat with no issues. It doesn't matter that I've been a 20yr + patient who never missed an appointment, I was told my time was taken by someone else and there was nothing they could do but reschedule me (which would be another 2 weeks!).
