I was later told this is a new location for them but still, everything looked brand new and unused. The very friendly receptionist told me that since I have a Medicare Advantage plan, it was best to make 2 appointments as one thing I needed was covered with Advantage Vision Insurance and another basic Medicare. The rules state they can't bill for both in one visit. No one has ever mentioned that before and it saved me $. After about a 2 minute wait, a tech came and got me. Started with the basic eye exam. Much more thorough than any I have had before. Techs did all the work then had me wait for the optometrist who went over everything, checked it and answered all my questions. I saw Dr. Liffland who came across as a bit of an ice queen but was amazingly patient, smart and informative. She took time to pull out of me any questions I might have. Then it was back to make another appointment for a about 2 weeks in the future. That was for a macular degeneration scan. Again, 2 minute wait before being checked out by several techs then taken into an office to see Dr. Liffland. Again, amazingly informative. I was first diagnosed with age related macular degeneration a least a decade ago so this was not my first rodeo with the procedure. Again, this time was more in depth and comprehensive than I have ever had before. Again, Dr. Liffland patiently pried me for questions or concerns and was truly informative and reassuring. I've been in Clearwater 10 years now and tried a few different places looking for the right one for vision care and now I have found it.

Then she adjusted her tentative fix and the issue was quickly and efficiently resolved. She also addressed another problem I had for years and resolved it by prescribing a unique pharmaceutical. I found Dr. Muller to be effective, efficient, and knowledgeable to the point of being outstanding. I have switched from my previous eye doctor (ophthalmologist) to Dr. Muller.

They do offer plan payments and they do take vision insurance(make sure if your provider covers it. Doctor Lewis, thank you SO much! He is one of the best LASIK plus surgeons in the states and he is the one who did my procedure. The procedure is painless (everyone pain level is different) and is done in minutes, the healing is pretty fast after a month you can back to most of your normal activities, make sure you follow all the indications step by step. My vision was -4.5 on both eyes I'm still on the healing process but now I have 20/15 vision I'm so happy for this decision.

First, my intake was ignored, as I had written down all of my allergies to not only medications, but food coloring as well! The drops used to dilate my sensitivity eyes were loaded with yellow dye #5! I noticed a white clouded effect in my vision for many hours past my 2:15 p.m. visit, well past 11 p.m. along with swelling and itching and redness that lasted into the following day! I looked up the drops used for dilation and found out they contain the dye. The woman who did my intake put the drops in minutes later! That was the beginning of my nightmare. The doctor questioned why I was using two eye drops for glaucoma when I don't have it. My previous eye specialist had me on them for years for a Condition in my right eye, after my retina tore, to keep the pressure down. This doctor wanted me to go off them for several weeks to see if the pressure went high, indicating glaucoma? No. I know my last doctor was treating me for something different. Then it came time to discuss eyeglasses. My insurance allow me one pair of glasses per year at ZERO CO-PAY! With anti scratch, tinted lenses and even progressives for nothing extra! The woman at the desk insisted that I was wrong, saying, "your insurance never gives you a free pair!" Well, yes they do and I got a pair last year for free, all the bells and whistles! Even a trip focal is covered, zero co-pay! So, I just called my insurance provider and requested a printable copy of my vision benefit and it's in black and white, FREE! BEWARE! They gave me a list of only eyeglass/ opticians they use and told me I had to pick one of them! My insurance company said, "you pick a good place you're comfortable with and takes our vision plan (most local places do!) and we'll cover the glasses 100%!" Yay me, yay to my insurance company! I did not need glasses before surgery. St Lukes told me I had to choose if I wanted to see for distance or for reading. People I knew in the past who had cataract surgery said they never needed glasses again so I was confused by this. St Lukes said if I paid approx. $4000 an eye it would cover both distance and reading but my insurance only paid for one or the other. I opted for distance due to eye doctor and doctor at St Lukes saying I needed this done or I may shortly be unable to see good enough to drive. After I had surgery done I had to get glasses to read. I had itching and discomfort with eyes after surgery which I never had before and was told to keep using eye drops for dryness. Since then and up to today, I have spots before my eyes, "rings" which obstruct my vision and constant watering, itching and eye discomfort. I am so sorry I did NOT refuse to have surgery or maybe at least only had one eye done. I still hear other say how great their surgery was that was done at another company and wish I could go back and checked out other places. This has been very hard to type even with my glasses on due to the "rings" and spots. I DO NOT recommend this facility as all they seem to care about is money. As cataract surgery can not be done again, I know this is my life from now on and it is very depressing.

You would think that the doctor would just say take this tape and and keep it closed or offer it for purchase instead of sending me to the store. And to be clear, this office is very expensive. Fortunately, I have wonderful insurance and the stem cell treatment was fully covered, but come on, they couldn't offer a small roll of medical tape for patient convenience.

I made an appt at Walesby based on Facebook Neighborhood group recommendations as well as the yelp reviews. Dr Walesby and the staff exceeded my expectations. I had a broken wrist at the time, and so I was thankful to be able to fill out the patient paperwork electronically ahead of time. It's a small office, so there was no wait time. In addition to my normal eye and contact lens exam, I also ended up having an ulcer on my cornea, which Dr Walesby helped me to treat with no issues. Was able to order my years supply of contacts through my insurance with them, and pick up a few days later. Glad to have found a new great place!
