I've gone to many other places, but Dr Todd was the only one that got me the perfect contact lenses match. I've mentioned the discomfits I've had with other brand to other optometrist locations with no avail to having the right fit of contacts so I've had to wear glasses most of my life. One day I decided to switch over to Shettle vision with recommendation from my sister. My first visit I told doc what discomforts I've had with contacts and would like to have contact so can do activities without the worries of my glasses flying off my face. Doc Todd suggested a brand I try out. Let me tell you, it only took one visit for me to get the right contacts without any discomfort. This is why I've been going to Shettle Vision for years. I've even suggested my work colleagues to go to him.

The last time I had a contact lens exam at this practice the cost was $254. At $400, it is a 57% increase from my last eye exam three years ago. When I questioned the huge increase, I was told that Dr. Tupps kept his prices the same forever and that he did not charge enough. When I shared that that's a 20% increase per year, they again said he didn't charge enough. I left. Called another local eye doctor. My total eye exam cost, including contacts, was $215... Which they quoted me upfront. Within an hour I had my contact lens prescription and saved at least $185. We will not be back. They lost me as a customer. They also lost my husband as a customer. When I used to go to Dr. Tupps the waiting room was always packed. Today I walked into an empty, waiting room... Now I know why.

I have bumped this up a star (ok) but overall my experience was still what it was. I explained that this is an experience of over 10+yrs of my wife and I as patients. When I walked in, I was greeted right away and she took my glasses to the back to replace the pad. The receptionist & Dr. Geary were personable and easy going! Just came back today (still sitting in the parking lot as I type this lol) to try on glasses to find a new pair. I am a 24 year old semi-adult who has never bought glasses for myself and have very little concept of how to maneuver insurance, so I was not excited to waltz in there with no plan. Regardless, I did, and thankfully, Kara greeted me and was beyond funny, chill, reassuring, and helpful.
