Innovision is now part of the "MyEyeDr" group. Although I like my glasses, I find the cost to be a bit on the high side. On top of that, our visit (wife went too and got glasses) was on April 21, 2021, and on January 29, 2022 I get notice that I owe $40 that medicare and my supplement did not pay. I would have NO PROBLEM with this EXCEPT, when asked before the doctor saw me I was assured that "IF I BOUGHT GLASSES, THEY WOULD COVER WHAT MEDICARE DIDN'T". Well, we walked out paying over $1,500 that day for 3 pairs of glasses, two for me, one for wife. My wife had gone to this location for well over a decade BEFORE it became a "MyEyeDr", but with the same "Doctor" and some of the same staff still here. Her insurance covers all of the appointments she has had in the past and with this visit, but mine did not. I filed an online complaint on January 29th, and although they assure you they will contact you within 3-5 days, I never heard a thing...I checked my Spam email weekly just in case it ended up there. On February 28th I got another bill...I paid it....WE will NEVER use MyEyeDr again, EVER! It is the principal of the thing...they don't care about their customers, this customer does not care about them. read more

Went there yesterday with my 4 year old and my 18 year old and when I saw the young woman helping us and the eye dr. I wondered if this was the right thing to do to bring my young daughter here?.but I was wrong. They were very patient, kind and helpful. The eye doctor was very good with children. I may have liked a little more assistance with assisting us with picking out glasses for my 4 year okd. But otherwise, they are very nice and I got a better deal with my son's contacts and my daughter's glasses, than at eye Dr optical outlet at the mall. Would go back for sure! read more

I have taken my daughter there three times for contacts. They keep on changing her prescription and saying that its normal for them to be blury. Im sorry I know tons of ppl that have contacts and they have no issues. Also they are rude when we come in to advise of the issue, They need to take care of this issue. My family has been going here for the past two years. The Office staff are super friendly. The Doctors as well are super smart and friendly. They are child friendly. Often I have brought in my daughter and they let her pick our ten marbles and give her a little bag to carry them in. It's always spotless and is in a very convenient location. read more

Went there April 6, 2016 had all exams done for new lenses as I had my frame already. All good to this point. Then November 8th 2016 I went back to see if my eyes are getting worst or not as I wanted to be able to work on my computer and seat back some more due to back pains. They did the exam, asked a total of $163 (payment in advance) which I did pay. 2 weeks later the lenses they gave me were worst than the ones I had. The so called "Doctor Hernandez" when he examined me for the second time in two weeks Nov 18th 2016 he said: "what readings did they put in here?" (in his computer as the readings do take place before he does his examination.) Obviously someone had put the wrong readings of my eyes in there. He sent me out to have a new exam. Guess what the second time again Nov 25th 2016 the lenses were off again, all readings on my iPAD I brought with me were blurry and even worst than the first time November 18. Realizing this is not going well I said to keep it civil please give me my money back and no problem. The acting as manager Ms Tricia Tripicchio said well we will refund $119.00.... Her excuse for not refunding me the whole amount of $163.00 was that the doctor has to be paid for his exam.... THE WRONG EXAM he had to be paid and I am walking away with NO NEW LENSES. OUTRAGED and on top of it as I paid with a check they will send me my $119.00 in the mail. Please look for an other eye place to go, as not only the above as they are also rude. I asked Ms Tricia to sigh the receipt that states they will mail me the refund and been as upset as I was I whispered "thank you" after I asked her to sigh that paper, her response was "you are welcome" very loud as I was wrong not saying thank you to her for signing that paper..... Great service and staff. Glasses and contacts within days of order. I tried to get contacts from a different eye care company and they could not get the right lens balance for me. I have been seeing this doctor since I was a teen and he is a fantastic doctor. He is always very nice, polite and on time which is uncommon with a lot of doctors today. I like Dr. Hernandez but unfortunately he has a front office manager now that is not customer focused. I have waited for three weeks for some office machine repair so that the glasses I was prescribed over a month ago would be ready. When I called back today I was given an excuse and told I would need to go to a different office so that the order for my lenses could be submitted to the lab. Well, three weeks ago I would probably have been willing to drive a half hour out of my way but since I am already disappointed with the lack of communication and seeming disinterest in resolving the issue with the broken equipment, or getting me the glasses which I have already paid for in full, I am going to be getting a refund and taking my business elsewhere. read more

Staff is great, and their hours allow you to schedule a appointment without disrupting your work schedule. They have great prices on contact lenses for me and always are helpful to check with your insurance to make sure you are getting the most out if your plan. I know My Eye Doctor, formerly Innovision, normally gets good reviews. But what happened to me yesterday has prompted me to write this review. I had made an appointment for an eye exam, for someone to show me how to put my contacts in, and pictures of the eye instead of having them dialated. I have insurance. That was the extent of my conversation with the front desk. When I got there, after driving through a tremendous amount of traffic, and having to leave work early, I was handed some papers to fill out. The, I guess, Optical Tech, came walking out, with what seemed to be a nasty disposition. She immediately asked me for my glasses, in a snarky sort of way. Then as I was filling the paperwork out, she came out and said "let's expedite this, come on back". I felt kind of rushed. My appointment was at 4:40 pm, I got there early. I go to the back and spoke about not wanting to have my eyes dialated and about the pictures that they could take. She told me yes, they do the pictures, but that would be an extra charge. Then I asked if someone could show me how to put contacts in. Again, she tells me that's an extra charge. Something like $29 and $59. I was never told by the front desk that it would be an extra charge. I told this tech that and was, once again, given a snarky remark, and that I should have asked for a call back on my co-pays. Her demeanor was completely unprofessional. I will withhold her name. I admit, I got testy. Leaving work early and driving from Largo to Palm Harbor up US 19 at 4:00 can be trying, at best. She asked if I wanted to cancel my appointment and I said yes and asked her to shred my paperwork. I then proceeded to tell the two front desk employees that when someone calls and tells exactly what they need, they should let the patient know that all may not be covered by insurance and that they will call back with the co-pays. As I was walking out, Dr. Hernandez walks out right behind me. Think they were in a hurry?? They sure were. Don't let the door hit you in the ass Dr. Hernandez. I'll go see my Opthamologist. My husband and I were patients here for quite some time. Never again. It's a shame how one unprofessional employee can cause patient so much aggravation, and lose that patient forever. Love the style of my new glasses but am disappointed in Transition lenses. They never get dark enough to use while driving. I have glaucoma and need good sun protection for my eyes. Have to wear my regular sunglasses so getting Transition lenses was a waste of the extra expense. I don't go out and sit in the sun and guess that is the only way they get dark. Be careful if you need darker lenses. read more
