This was good but I wouldn't say it was outstanding. We had an After Dark (riff on an old fashioned) and a Hibiscus Spritz (a little sherbet-y for me). We did not have big enough appetites for appetizers and main courses, so opted for the roasted octopus and the seafood pappardelle. The octopus was good, but still had the membrane on it. Typically when we've had roasted octopus before this has been crisped up as it roasts. The pappardelle was good but as with a lot of restaurant meals, the sauce made it very rich. My husband and I sat at the bar in this very nice restaurant. The bar tender/waiter was attentive and gave great recommendations. The $1 oysters were a great choice to start our meal. They came with two delicious sauces and lemon/lime. We shared a crab cake as a starter which was also delicious. My husband got the seafood pasta with busque sauce and enjoyed it. First I will address the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and helpful in making our choices. He answered several questions and made recommendations. At times he was swamped but his attitude was positive and professional. His command of English and French was outstanding. I inquired his name and he responded William. If you are fortunate enough to have him as your waiter, your experience will be top notch. We were hoping to sit outside but we had neglected reservations and we were seated indoors. The booth we were seated in was comfortable and the decor was lovely. Our orders varied from steak, salmon, braised wagyu tagliatelle, the last being brisket and octopus. Each was outstanding in not only flavor but presentation. For dessert we chose a chocolate mousse cigar. The picture shows its amazing creativity, but does most show the delectable taste. We were looking for seafood restaurants in QC and our hotel concierge recommended this one. Inside had an obnoxiously clubby vibe, but it was a nice summer evening and we were able to snag an outdoor table. The streets were quite busy due to the annual FEQ music festival happening a few blocks away. Service was good and their seafood selections were fine but not quite on par with anything we ate in Montreal. We had a later reservation and the whole experience began to devolve when the wait staff began to clear away all the tables and chairs around us. At this point we were not even beginning our main course. This was a jarring end to an otherwise nice evening. After a long day of travel from Woodstock N.B.,we checked into our hotel,Hotel Boutique Ophelia.We decided to have dinner at the Ophelia which was located on the first floor of our hotel.We sat at the bar because there were no tables available.Our server Nicholas was courteous and attentive .Our dinner drinks included a Dark and Stormy and a local beer which were refreshing and delicious.We had a scrumptious meal which included oysters, chowder, halibut and salmon. I started off the the scallop ceviche with watermelon, lime, and fish eggs. My husband had the oysters and the sauces and oysters were so fresh. I moved onto Lobster radicchio with saffron and peas which was so delish and my husband had the Ribeye that was melt in your mouth. He didn't even need a steak knife to cut it. Their domes are single table bubbles, incredibly well constructed , where you sit on the street watching the snow fall as warm as if you were in your bedroom. Fantastic. The food, though, was just as good. Eggs Benedict with duck confit was fab Rashti, probably the best hollandaise sauce I ever had. The sharing breakfast was also great. The food was fantastic, I got the wagyu tataki and snow crab for entree, it was delicious. The real star of the show for me was the main course: octopus and pork belly. Every single bite was absolutely amazing, I definitely recommend it. The whole restaurant was beautiful, although one note I would say the bathroom was absolutely disgusting and filthy, it reminded me more of an airplane bathroom which is unfitting for a restaurant of that class, it's a shame. Not an intimate, quiet kind of place What it's good at is the SEAFOOD( the steak looked amazing at the table next to us though). We started with a variety of 12 oysters, all amazing. Then we had what we call in NY shrimp cocktail (they call it prawn cocktail) Then we had the octopus carpaccio. So delicious. We shared an entree of roasted cod over a potobello mushroom, beluga lentil stew and wild mushroom foam. The fish was light and cooked perfectly. The pairing with the portobello is genius. Fabulous from start to finish. Myself and 3 girlfriends were visiting the city on a girls trip. We saw cute little igloos somewhere on the internet and knew this was the place! You must call to make a reservation for the igloos (you can only make inside reservations online)... We arrive and there are 3 geometric clear plastic igloos outside of the restaurant. Each igloo has a table in it and is temperature controlled (see pictures). This honestly was a very special and once in a lifetime experience. We ate dinner outside, in an igloo, during a snowy evening in Quebec... nothing short of magical. Our server was fantastic and very knowledgeable. The wine list is expansive and cocktail list was on point. I ended up having a cosmo to play it safe. It was a large martini glass and it was strong. We were all very happy with out drinks. For starters we had shrimp cocktail - spiced perfectly and very fresh. They were a little smaller than I was expected but that's OK. We also shared the warm Brussel sprout salad with dried duck, which was divine. For entrees we enjoyed the: 16oz ribeye - perfectly cooked with a trio of three sauces. The mushroom sauce was so good that two other girls asked for extra sides of it for their meals. Grilled octopus and roasted pork flank, and beef bourguignon. Everything was excellent. There was not a morsel of leftovers and I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to any steak or seafood lover. read more

My boyfriend was craving some lobster rolls and since it was pouring outside, Ophelia was close by to walk to from our bed and breakfast. The hostess, server and food runner was super nice and all spoke English. We shared all our meals and we ordered: half a dozen of assorted oysters, bone marrow, lobster rolls that came with fries and roasted vegetables. I definitely agree that this place was overpriced. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The bone marrow could have came with another slice of bread. The fries were drenched in oil and didnt seem to be cooked in hot enough oil. The vegetable portions we're extremely small for $9. All in all the food was below par but the service was amazing. Fantastic place! We are here twice in one week on our vacation! First night I had the filet mignon and shrimp then the second night I had the cod. Both were phenomenal. My dad ordered the shellfish tower for $85 and got an incredible deal for the price! We ended with the chocolate dome dessert but we would not do that again as it was much smaller than expected.
