We had lunch here while touring the old city. They have a daily special that you can order with the appetizer of the day and coffee, with chef's dessert selection and coffee or all 3. We went with the coffee and dessert option and found you can substitute tea for the coffee if you'd like. The sandwich for the day was an open faced chicken salad with avocado and cherry tomatoes topped with a balsamic drizzle. The bread did actually require the steak knife provided and some elbow grease to cut through but the sandwich was very tasty and all ingredients were really fresh. The chips accompanying the sandwich were fresh as well and not greasy. The dessert was a square of carrot cake which was good. Service was good, but slow enough that we thought we were forgotten for a bit a few times. It was not busy, but we were seated inside along with a few other customers and it seemed staff were trying hard to keep up with the tables on the outdoor sidewalk area. My family and I decided to stop here for an early dinner. There were lots of restaurants nearby but we chose Les Mordus because the menu seemed slightly more extensive and affordable than the others. Went here for brunch, the three of us, and we were seated right away at 12:30 pm on a Sunday morning by a very welcoming host. I felt the setup to very modern and bright, with ample lighting come from their wide windows. Soft music and overall lower end of noise is how I'd describe the overall ambiance. We got straight to ordering and got some cocktails (Bloody Mary and Mimosa) which were great, followed by me trying out their Tofu Fish N' Chips - a brand new experience for me. The Tofu Fish N' Chips was an interesting experience for me with the first bite reminding me of how Fish N' Chips really taste, but the experience quickly went down because the Tofu had no natural flavor to offer to the rather unseasoned/bland batter, where normally, fish does add a decent amount of flavor. My only feedback - for this tofu dish is to either add some flavor to the Tofu itself or the batter! Service was quick and food arrived within half an hour which looked like a standard in Quebec City. In comparison to other restaurants in the area though, service was much quicker! We ate here for breakfast. I had a frittata with salmon. The salmon had a very strong, almost overpowering, flavor. The lungo was good. My wife and son each had the light continental breakfast and enjoyed it. Service was a bit slow but we have found that common in this area at least for this time of year. read more

Had breakfast and it was just ok. The breakfast sandwich was served on what they call a croissant bread. It is completely different than a normal croissant. It was very small and hard. The sandwich was supposed to be served with tomatoes and mayo. There was none on the sandwich. The accompanying potatoes were small and I counted 8 pieces. That was the same with my companions frittata. The frittata had what was called pulled ham. Oddly it almost had a fishy flavor to it. Other than that it lacked flavor. The portion was good except for the skimpy potatoes. We were never asked if we needed anything else. We had to wave the server down every time we needed something. My husband ordered the burger with fries and salad. He took 2 bites of the burger and said there was something wrong with it. Let the waitress know and she told the kitchen. Went there yesterday for my birthday with my husband, our three year old and my parents. I am eight months pregnant and I have gestational diabetes. We sat down at 7pm, ordered our food around 7:20 and then we waited. And waited. And waited. Our appetizer came out around 8pm, and I took my insulin and we shared the calamari (which is excellent). We were done it within a few minutes and then we waited. And waited. And waited. My mom asked the waitress when our food was coming around 8:30, as my son was getting impatient and hungry and my blood sugar was dropping fast. The waitress told us it was coming and brought out some bread, which, while good, was what my son then filled up on. We didn't get our meals until 9pm, mine (the salmon of the day on rice with seasonal vegetables, which turned out to be last fall's parsnips), was 5 minutes later than everyone else's meal, and the rice was undercooked and completely bland and the salmon I probably should have sent back for a second cook because, being pregnant, I don't think it was cooked enough to be 100% safe for me. I've done brunch there before and I recommend that, but avoid doing supper. The restaurant wasn't half full and two hours for a meal isn't worth it. read more

The portions are satisfying, the croissants are fluffy, the cappuccinos are delicious, and the raspberry butter is addictive. We had the salmon eggs Benedict for our main and croissants with raspberry butter on the side and were immensely satisfied. This town is filled with delicious places to eat, and while this is on the pricy side, you will also have a wonderful ambiance that reminds you of the South of France and attentive wait service. read more
