Great place to stop for a quick bite. Plenty of seating inside and outside. The outdoor seating also has fire pits and heat lamps. The food was good, typical bar food. Portions were on the small side. 4 instead of 5 stars because while the servers were lovely, service was slow. There was only one server for the whole of the outdoor seating area and she was very overwhelmed.

We were here for dinner. It was a rainy Thursday evening. The place were not busy. Food were good. The beer were great. Great service. Our waiter were friendly and attentive. Definitely a great place to have a meal and a beer. Highly recommended!

Onion soup, not French Onion soup. It is good but it will fill you up with gas later. No need to fill up your car after coming here, the flatulence this soup will provide you will give you enough mileage to get you from Quebec City to Montreal without stopping. The shrimp tacos are good but the portion is tiny. They have nice zing but something is missing about these. Eh, not too sure what it is. Maybe it will come to me later. In the meantime, you might wanna open some windows after your meal is over.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Cute place at the bottom of the hill. Everything we ordered was good. I got the fish and chips, it's nice that they offer some of their dishes as either an entree size or appetizer if you want a smaller portion. They have a lot of items on the menu and also offer beer pairings which is fun. The staff were very nice and great at answering our questions (we had a friend with a dairy allergy). The best dish was what my husband got- the cod dish.

We were welcomed right away. The Waiter was very knowledgeable on all their beers and plates sitting out at the curb is beautiful. It is such a relaxing place to be. The food was delicious.

We stumbled upon this restaurant when exploring the lower city. We showed up with a party of 8 (2 high chairs) right when they opened and were seated immediately. I adventurously ordered the Blood Pudding with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The blood pudding itself had a nice crispy exterior and was popping with flavors of winter spices. It came on a plate of mashed potatoes with brussel sprouts, pickled onions, and cauliflower, all of which worked really well together. My wife had a pizza topped with prosciutto, and my sons ate a bowl of spaghetti and popcorn chicken. The staff was very attentive to one of our party's extensive food allergy issues, and they made sure that to "stack" the delivery of the childrens' meals before the adults' meals, although everything came out relatively quick. The ambience was a blend of fresh decor in a very old building. I believe they have their own (extensive) brewery selection, though none from our party were drinking beer during this visit. We'll definitely be back again the next time we are in this part of Quebec City!

best french onion soup! came here upon recommendation from a local after asking them for a french onion soup place. while onion soup is usually made with wine, this place uses beer, which was interesting to note. they have an extensive beer menu as well. i liked how they tell you how bitter each beer is + what type of foods a beer goes best with. would recommend!

This pitcher didn't last long! Sangria Blanche

After a two and a half hour walking tour we needed some refreshments. Out tour guide recommended the French onion soup. The soup was fine. The real treat was :SANGRIA BLANCHE White wine, Beefeater gin, Soho, orange juice, 7Up. It was delicious.

Very nice resto bar in downtown. Patio area is very nice, but we stayed in the bar coz it was full when we got there. Bar tender was very friendly and attentive. Fast service. Good food- you can tell in my pictures what to is our fave. It's a must try!

We stopped for drinks and desserts at Archibald while we were in Quebec City. The weather was not cooperating the day we went so this was a great refuge from the rain. The bartender was super nice and helpful. Really cute place. Large space and a great bar to sit and enjoy a drink.

    Burrata! So delicious'

We tried the India which was a butter chicken sauce with chicken and mushrooms. It was a fun dish with good flavor gravy. Odd choice to me to put mushrooms in it since I've never had butter chicken with mushrooms. The Chicken was thin sliced, I was expecting more like chunks. Regardless this was a solid 4 in my book. We also tried the Hat Trick which is basically a three meat poutine with bacon, ground beef and hot dogs. This was also solid, not as unique, but good. Probably a 3.75. we ordered the mega sized for both, which made the 2 dishes enough food for 3-4 people depending how hungry you are. We wanted the leftovers. The down side to this experience was the service. The place was nearly empty. The server passed us with a pitcher of water in have and didn't even fill the glasses. When we ordered a diet Pepsi instead of getting a fountain drink we got it in a can (both options were in the menu, fountain was cheaper), why not ask us if not sure what we want? At the end we waited a while to see the server and instead just ended up asking the hostess for our to-go containers. Nothing horrible, just meh. The takeaway, pretty good poutine with not so hot service.

I ordered the typical Irish pub bangers and mash because, easy and safe. I totally forgot I was in Quebec. What I received on my plate was unexpected. A superbly tasty sausage with some mashed potatoes, and then the gravy and veggies were superb. Broccoli rabe and a half potato that with the gravy was delicious. Totally unexpected. And the bar and tables all being full did not affect the excellent service. Nonstop drinks were leaving and the barmaids moved in and out non stop as did our bartender. The only disappointment was the game.... I can easily recommend a stop by Dorsey's during your visit to Quebec.

St. Hubert is a huge part of Quebec's contemporary lifestyle. It all started with one restaurant on St. Hubert Street in Montreal back in 1951, and now there are 117 locations. Chain restaurant dining reflects Quebec culture very well. The portions are larger, the restaurants are nicely decorated, and the service is friendly. Many locations have a separate bar and lounge. from nowhere, it looks like a food chain restaurant. Coming to food, we ordered 1/2 Piri Chicken with rice & coleslaw. - Canada is like the hub of rotisserie chicken and the first time, I saw it came in piri piri flavor, nice!! It comes with rice and 2 types of sauces. The chicken was well-cooked and sauteed in the sauce. The server was very attentive and the restaurant was not busy at hall. I had a view straight into the kitchen where the dishwasher is. The chicken was dry and the vegetables bland and overcooked. The so called bun that came with the dinner was like the bottom of a tasteless dry hamburger bun. I was expecting a dinner roll. The caesar salad lettuce was cut into way too small leaves and the parmesan cheese tasted old/dry. The ice tea was a lot of ice in a small glass. Tasted like a powder mix. The food was below average and it was like going to Denny's to eat. I would not eat here or any other St Hubert restaurant.

I've been lucky enough to come twice now while on vacation to jjacques and both times were exceptional, I also funnily enough sat at the exact same table both times. Shout-out to Nathan our waiter who spoke in EN for half the table and FR for the other half haha. He was so fun! The first time I came here was with my husband and we had a lovely dinner - the salmon blinis were our fave so I knew when I was here the second time, they were a must! The second time, there were six of us so we ordered quite a bit - we had the salmon blinis with caviar, a few oysters, the cod fritters, the prawn cocktail, the mushroom tortellini, flounder crudo, and whole fried fish - for dessert we did a cheese plate with some delicious local cheese. Everything was delicious - the whole fish is a must - the skin is so crispy and tasty - has a lot of Vietnamese flavours. The cocktails are also fabulous here - I had the Mexican Firing Squad and the Jungle Bird - both delicious and easy to drink! The room itself reminds me of a cool speakeasy bar/resto you'd find in the streets of New York City. It's hidden in an alleyway behind a very unassuming door. It's all part of the magic of the restaurant. If there is one place to go for dinner in QC, go here. We booked a reso in advance and I recommend you do this to secure your spot!

The Vitello Tonnato ($22) and Cod Fritters ($15) were decent but not as good in comparison to our favorites.
