Outside seating was faster than inside and since it was a nice day out, we decided to do outside. Waiter seated us and took our order, but then it took forever to get our food. We waited for more than 45 minutes. When the food did come out it was lukewarm to cold. It seemed like it was sitting for a while before it was brought over to us. I had high expectations food wise, regardless of the slow service. The pizza was okay, I have had way better. The spag pollo lacked so much flavor! I thought it would be so flavorful because of the herbs but nope! The arrabiata pasta lacked flavor as well. Overall, I had high expectations considering the reviews I read were positive. But huge disappointment and waste of time/ money/ and still leaving hungry! We did tip but the waitress didn't deserve a tip. She wasn't even the one who brought the food over! read more

Amazing gnocchi special and pizza special! The creme brûlée was perfection! The wait staff was great- low staff the night we went and the maître d' was a bit frazzled, but when we came back at the suggested time she was very pleasant and the staff was attentive for an oddly busy Monday night. So as to not wreck my stomach, I stuck with Italian food for dinner as it was consistent with everything else I had eaten that day. It ended being a smart move. The seafood pasta I ordered is delicious. Yes, delicious. Ribbon-y pasta, fresh seafood in every forkful of food, great color of the dish, it combines the elements of Italy and a bit of Canada flair in one. Adding salmon to this dish not only added good contrast, but superb flavor. The rest of the seafood just adds more character to an already insane pasta dish. I only wish they gave me free bread instead of charging me for it. That stinks. The restaurant does get busy around 4 pm and stays busy for the rest of the night, so get here early or only come for lunch. Either way, this is one plate of food you have to eat. read more

Sapristi was so good and I loved my experience here. We ordered the two salmons pasta and buffalo pizza. My favorite was the buffalo pizza. I'm not a huge pizza person but this pizza was so good. The pizza had so much flavor but it wasn't super overpowering which I liked. The two salmons pasta was also very delicious. Was pretty disappointed by this place, even though it had pretty good reviews. our wait staff was not very welcoming or friendly, she seemed annoyed when we didn't know what we wanted to order and when we asked for some more time she said "you get me when your ready" so then we had to try to flag her down when we were ready to order which just felt odd and not good service. We ordered the burrata which was good, it came with only 4 little pieces of bread, then I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband ordered the pesto pasta, both were some of the most flavorless things we have ever eaten! It actually had me questioning if they watered down the sauces? We will not be returning and I would not recommend to anyone. Hopefully maybe their pizzas are better? Very nice place to sit and have a bite and drink. Came here after a long walk touring the Old Québec and decided to have a small bite. Server was nice and polite, service is a bit slow but it's alright, I think the city is still recovering from the lockdown and not a whole lot of employees during the lunch shift. Actual rating: 3 1/2 stars. Our first meal in Quebec. We were recommended this place by the hotel attendant. It's located at the lower end near the fortification of Old Quebec. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Indoor seating has more of a pub feel and outdoor seating has more of a Mediterranean feel. Neither of the dishes we ordered were particularly outstanding. We had the spaghetti and meatballs and the funghi pizza. The funghi pizza with its mushrooms, bechamel sauce, pine nuts, white wine, cheddar, and chives sounded the most interesting, but turned out to be quite bland. The spaghetti and meatballs were okay. In general, the food just wasn't very memorable. Despite it all, the service, location, price, and ambiance made up for it. It's also nice that they have vegetarian and gluten free menu options available. If you're looking for affordable Italian fare with great service and ambiance, Sapristi may be what you're looking for. read more

We made a reservation for an 8PM dinner on our first night in town. We were able to grab a table on a Sunday night easily. The service was good and we were greeted promptly by the hostess and brought waters by the waitress. I'm sort of a French Onion Soup fanatic. Have been my whole life. When I was a teenager, I begged my Mom to make it for me but she wasn't so sure about making it so I got a recipe and made a huge cauldron of it for my entire family - even made the toast crouton and the gooey cheese. It came out pretty good but the soup I had last night at Sapristi was much, much better. It was magnifique!!!! We shared a bowl and it was plenty. The pasta dishes we tried were the POLLO (chicken) and the De Mari (seafood). I liked the POLLO dish much better than my seafood as mine was sort of the bland side, unfortunately, and the fish pieces were almost too small to be meaningful. The POLLO had a delightful fresh herb mix and was not too buttery or salty. We asked the waitress to find out what herb tasted slightly like licorice and she found out from the chef that he uses tarragon. It was perfect to balance out the sauce. We tried the half bottle of J Lohr and it was really terrific. I liked our meal here and it's a cute place. read more
