Parmesan truffle fries
Christina C.

While visiting Old Quebec we wanted to stop in somewhere for lunch and came across Sapristi! We opted to sit inside even though it was a nice day out, just because of how busy the street was. The servers here seem to work in tandem helping out wherever needed so we had two different people waiting on us throughout our meal which was cool! To start off with drinks we ordered a limoncello spritz and a fruitatto spritz. The fruit one was by far my favorite, but I'd also dangerous because you could drink them all day like water lol. The limoncello was delicious as well, just be mindful if you're not a limoncello person or have had it before that it'll be a strong flavor when you sip it! For our food we shared the Parmesan truffle fries as an appetizer, the Spag pollo (pasta with chicken, tomatoes, and veggies), and the 1608 flatbread (bechamel sauce, mushrooms, bacon, 1608 cheese, rosemary). Everything we had was so delicious & I even drizzled some spicy oil on top of the pizza which really elevated the flavor! If you're ever visiting Quebec City you have to check this place out!

We had walked in during the winter carnival looking for a place to eat. We had gotten dinner at the bar and experienced great service! The food was great, the pasta was fresh, and full of flavor. If you go you must try the appetizers as well! The proportions were great size and left full and happy! Definitely recommend

Duck (far) risotto (near)

Stopped for lunch with my gf, in the mood for pizza/pasta. Split their Caesar salad, which was delicious. The gf had the duck penne and i had the risotto of the day with scallops chorizo and corn. Both were unique and delicious. Staff was efficient and very friendly.

Really nice staff, however the food is mediocre Lobster risotto: I've had better ones. There's indeed lots of lobster meat but the flavor is really lacking. And I don't really like the add up of lemon Flatbread: pretty basic. Nothing special Truffle fries: really crispy but I don't taste any truffle flavor. Just garlic fries Lime&basil drink is pretty refreshing. Wouldn't go again

A vibrant Italian restaurant with several locations in Quebec. Food was delicious and portions were perfect. Everything was well-balanced and prepared well. Dishes were fresh and very flavorful. Staff was attentive and helpful too!

Rigatoni Bolognese

While on vacation, we visited Quebec City and Old Quebec. We stopped by here to grab a hearty meal before we spent the rest of the day exploring the streets. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, I ordered the Duck Pasta and my wife ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese. We savored every bite. The wall art grabbed and held our attention while we waiting for our food. The door on the wall particularly was a nice conversation starter. There was light music playing in the background. It was nice and cozy inside as it was snowing out.

Spag meatballs & spaghetti carbonara with the rosé from Quebec

Quick service and good food. The rosé was not my favorite, but overall, we had a nice dinner at this Sapristi and didn't have to wait long for a table despite not having a reservation.

There are 2 Sapristi restaurants located in Quebec City within miles of each other. We chose the one in the lower old town located near the river. There's a nice looking outdoor patio and multiple levels of dining inside. They serve several pasta dishes, pizzas, salads, and appetizers. We enjoyed the food and the service was good. The servers speak French and English. What we had: + spaghetti and meatballs - the meatballs were really good. Tender and very flavorful. The pasta was good but not housemade. + spinach and goat cheese salad - very good. The cheese was kinda creamy and the spinach wasn't wilty. + crème brûlée - mmmm delicious. The top cracked beautifully. It tasted like maple sugar and the cream was very creamy. Overall a good choice for Italian food.

BBQ pizza and fungi pizza

This place has amazing reviews and I wanted to trust them. I am happy we came here because the service was the best service by far. My partner loved the bbq pizza and my fungi pizza was good, but it could have used a bit of salt in my opinion. The ambiance is great and they had a seat available the minute we walked in. I very much recommend this place! I forgot to mention we got the mozzarella sticks and they are the best I have ever had!

Great service! Good wine choice. I had a delicious Greek flatbread. My sister had the Spaghetti Pollo. Both meals delicious. Also, ordered the Creme-Brûlée dessert. Fantastic! I'd go back.

Had the best gluten free pizza at this spot! The service was a bit slow and they forgot that we ordered fries as well but the pizza was delicious. Good ambience as well.

And Yumm, they top it all off with candied nuts. If you want something heavier, the duck is the best I've ever had. see my previous review for details. P.S- Ils nous ont donné des cartes postales avec une photo du Château Frontenac, avec notre facture. - They gave us, post cards with a picture of the Chateau Frontenac, with our bill.

Hot item French onion soup: 8/10 bites. Good. Pizza Americana: 7/10 bites pepperoni, mozzarella, bell peppers, thin soft bread was good. The hotel itself had also long been regarded as a must-see in Quebec City, though my friend and I found its lobby underwhelming. The bar, however, was in the back of the main floor and offered stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. We approached the host stand and asked if it would be possible to get a table for two on short notice and without a reservation. While we did not get seats with a view, we were thrilled to secure what seemed to be the lone remaining table. The room was cylinder in shape with a circular bar right in the center. The walls were either windows overlooking the River or bookcases of the classics. There were exposed lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling that provided the only real illumination in the dimly-lit bar. The place had a mix of industrial, rustic, and masculine vibes. It felt almost like a scientist's lair or a professor's library. Our server, Henry, was very refined, yet personable. He helped my friend navigate the mocktail list and ensure she was going to get a concoction that met her needs. Meanwhile, I loved perusing the cocktail list that explained the inspiration behind each of their custom beverages. I immediately selected the Apex, as it included many of my favorite ingredients. The martini had been inspired by The Great Gatsby and was composed of Bistro Vodka, ginger, a passion fruit and vanilla cordial, Suze, pineapple bitters, sesame, and prosecco. The bright yellow drink was topped with a hefty scoop of a ginger-lemongrass foam. The sesame, ginger, and lemongrass gave the drink an exotic, Asian flavor that was as delicious as it was unique. In addition to our drinks, the bar was nice enough to give each table a bowl of potato chips. The couple next to us was going through their snack fairly quickly, so, despite being full from dinner, I figured I needed to at least try a solitary chip. Sadly, they were just plain and nothing out of the ordinary, though they were a tasty rendition for sure. The 1608 Bar was a fun, intriguing, and gorgeous place. It certainly earned its spot of number 41 on Canada's 100 Best Bars list, for its creativity in particular. I would highly recommend grabbing a cocktail there, but I would suggest making a reservation first, as I think that we had just been lucky to get the last table.

However, 1608 Bar is accessible to visitors. After a day of exploring the city, we stopped in for a drink and were rewarded with a beautiful bar area with lots of comfortable seating and a world class view of the river. The drinks were imaginative and lovely. Snacks were promptly served, and the wait staff couldn't have been kinder. Highly recommend.

When I looked at the menu I realized they don't have lasagna and I figured it must be the croques Monsieur. So that is what I ordered and that is exactly what came. It was very generous and full of cheese which was toasted golden brown it was really good. The salad was good too really fresh the dressing was good. I'm glad I chose it. Staff was nice. They spoke both French and English depending on what you were more comfortable with. I stumbled through French because I'm in Quebec I should speak French. I took the few steps up to the front desk where a host told me that the bar was first-come, first-serve, but that I could look for a spot. Thankfully, there was a stool open right in the middle, so I hopped up and made myself comfortable. The friendly server greeted me with a smile and handed me their vast menu, which included breakfast served until 2:00 pm, which sounded great to me at that moment. I started with a regular coffee, which was surprisingly bold and gave me the wake-up jolt that I needed to make it through another afternoon excursion and a busy evening. For my meal, I ordered the "Les deux œufs", which meant two eggs prepared however I wanted. I opted for scrambled egg whites, and despite forgetting to ask for them more on the well-done side, they were delivered as such. The fluffy whites were also very well-seasoned and flavorful. They were served with roasted Yukon Gold potatoes, which had been coated in an oil that had been infused with fresh garlic and parsley. They were definitely on the greasy side, but were otherwise fantastic. I also had the option to select some sort of breakfast meat or fruit, so I went with the latter, which turned out to be fresh blueberries and strawberries that were kissed with sweetness. Lastly, the accompanying toast was from a real artisan loaf, not a package. It was, honestly, all delicious. Plus, they managed to have all of the food out to me within thirty minutes, even with the crowd and without me asking for a rushed order. I just wished La Buchette was a little closer to home!
