    Le Bleu Burger

    At the heart of the tourist path in old Quebec City, we didn't expect much from a burger joint. We shared a burger (blue cheese) and a goat cheese salad; with the fries upgraded to a mini poutine. The blue cheese burger was one of the best - a perfect combination of cheese and toppings. The same can be said of the salad - perfect combination of salt and sweet with perfect amount of dressing. There are undoubtedly better food destinations in the city - but this is a great burger joint. A gem amongst the tourist traffic.

    Overall, the food was delicious especially the mini poutine. The burgers were also delicious, and the inside was nicely decorated. Overall, this is the place to go in Quebec City if you're craving a burger.

    Enjoyed a few drinks here. So good!! Made two stops here. Especially loved the Whoa Blackberry. {{*.*}}

    Vibrant and modern restaurant with great service. Burgers were great, but nothing too special. I recommend this for a casual dinner.

    We had a wonderful dinner at Les Trios Garçons thanks to the quick service and tasty food. We started with a beef nacho and finished with a poutine and burger as our mains. The salad was also very fresh! The inside of this restaurant is very welcoming and comfortable. Lots of families were dining in which was nice to see. I recommend!

    The restaurant was very lively when I walked in, there were people chatting, TV was blasting, music was playing. It didn't feel overwhelming at all, it felt very inviting. Our waitress was nice but she took a while to take our orders as well as giving us the check at the end. She only checked on us once throughout our meal but I don't blame her since it was packed. The mini poutine wasn't bad, their sauce did make it a little too sweet for my taste. The burger itself was very savory! The patty bun was super soft and fluffy and the patty was cooked and seasoned well. The goat cheese did overpower most of the burger at times.

    Although we didn't grab Breakfast at the crack of dawn, you just can't beat Trois Garçons' 7am opening. With our last day in Québec, I wanted to have a hearty breakfast before making that 3 and 1/2 hour trek down to Montréal. From their brick façade, to the rest of their style, Trois Garçons goes for that industrial chic look- with a relaxed feel. Started off my day with 'Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict' (minus the Hollandaise) that reminded me of an open-faced sandwich. From the crisp Arugula (that I'm freaking digging lately- as my fave green) with a Balsamic drizzle to the freshly poached egg, to that tasty, 1608 Cheese. However, the Smoked Salmon in it, was a bit thick for my likes. Secondly, it was partially cooked and perhaps the melted Cheese was the cause. I didn't like it and set it off to the side. I don't go crazy for Maple syrup; but the fact that it's actually Canadian pure Maple, and came with Mr. Man's French Toast, it had me taking a few bites. Hot Chocolate? Up to that point, I haven't had any true luck with Québec's 'Hot Chocolate'. So I was leery to begin with and felt, "third time's a charm". Well......it was another letdown. Presentation was cute with the sugar crystal rim and all- but that was it. Nice menu selections though- and to be honest, service was friendly. I like Garçons' style and feel their industrial design' ties everything in together to give you that raw punch. Listen...You may not be coming here for fine cuisine, but if you're on vacation and up and ready to rock before 7:30am- it's a decent spot.

    Great food and drinks. Their Moscow mule and rouge sangria is to die for. Their goat cheese salad with the balsamic vinaigrette was AMAZING. The goat cheese in the middle was almost like Brie with calme Liz ed onion on it! YUM! The servers were also so nice and funny

    Interworker - beef, tomato, onion ring, cheese and cheese curds with a bbq sauce. Fries and curry mayo.

    Located near the entrance of Old Quebec City, this restaurant has a wide variety of burgers, poutine and other entrees like fish and chips, salad etc. I liked how you get to choose different types of mayo if you ordered fries. There's rosemary maple, chipotle mayo, Curry mayo and original mayo. We ordered their interworker burger (onion ring, beef, bacon, Swiss cheese and cheese curds, with bbq sauce) with fries and curry mayo and their veggie burger with goat cheese, beets and arugula with a salad. The fries were also delicious as they were crispy but also fluffy at the same time. The curry mayo was amazing. Both burgers were delicious and very flavourful. I was worried the cheese would overpower the burger and make it too salty, but the bbq sauce was able to blend the flavours together very well. The service is a little slow and the waitress told us it would be because they didn't have enough people in the kitchen - so it is what it is.

    Onion soup - the best !

Drink prices are good and I asked for a house red that was very nice. It's a unique experience and we were amused by the fact that everyone was more quiet than in a usual restaurant - the idea of being in a monastery (even a former one) stayed in people's minds. We cannot complain about that. Our server was friendly and very charming. The meal was beautifully paced. The restaurant itself is very noisy. The food itself was disappointing. On the recommendation of our server we started with the carrot doughnut. The doughnut itself was lost under a mountain of ricotta. I would not have known that it was carrot, except that she had told us. We ordered two other starters : I ordered the foie gras pate and my boyfriend ordered the fried oysters. The pate was served on a small layer of sunflower butter, which was unnecessary. The pate itself was surprisingly flavorless. Homemade bread and blueberry jam served alongside was quite good. The fried oysters were completely drowned in buffalo sauce, another green sauce and "blue cheese foam". I would not have even known they were oysters. They were served underneath some cucumbers and peppers and lettuce. For our main course, we shared the blood pudding, which, despite the crazy number of ingredients actually was delicious. It was the best thing we ate. It was served with homemade bacon, a roasted artichoke heart, and some mussels croquettes. Seriously a lot going on. For dessert we ordered the spiced orchard dacquoise. Another complex, and I thought overly complicated dish, that my boyfriend felt worked well. It was presented nicely, and I remembered to get a picture of it. All in all, it seemed like there's just way too much going on in each dish and no particular flavor stands out. Two of the dishes, the fried oysters and the carrot doughnut were just sloppy and smothered. The boudin and the dessert were both beautifully plated, and the flavors worked better as well. The foie gras appetizer was unfortunately bland, and the main ingredient did not shine. Maybe it was an off night? Maybe we didn't order the best things? Evidently, they're doing something right because they've been going for 50 years, but we just didn't see that.

We had: - house lemonade - the foie gras seed butter and blueberry jam app; this is served on a broiche with a large amount of foie gras and homemade roasted sunflower seed butter; this was a very flavorful and filling starter for two - Poulet de Cornouailles - cornish roasted hen (the whole bird, small); was very delicate, served on mashed turnips, topped with an artistic grilled turnip and other veggies to cover the protein, it was a great experience to taste each component of the dish and have it come together well - veal flank steak with sauce on carrot puree and bitter vegetables - dessert (which changes frequently) was an artistic experience, a spiced cake with sauce, a uniquely (not my favorite) ice cream with candied bitter citrus peel served on top of toasted granola/sweetened biscuits The serving staff was super knowledgeable and presented each course and dish when served with further explanations on the ingredients, process, as well as how to best experience the dish.
