I'm very glad I came to What A Room Furniture because Daniel was able to educate me on all the different elements that one had to consider when buying a sofa including seat firmness, depth, configuration, and fabric. He helped immensely with helping me customize the ideal sofa with the appropriate measurements for each component. I always thought furniture was just pick and buy and was surprised by how customizable every aspect was. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you are considering an upgrade to that old table, chair, or sofa as they have a great selection to customize to your preference and even better service to help you every step of the way!

We found the couch style we liked, picked a performance fabric, chose how many cushions, seat firmness, seat depth, chaise length and width. Literally everything was customized! I also love that it's made in California without any forever chemicals. I didn't want a prop 65 warning on our couch especially since we have a new baby at home. Daniel was so helpful in the store with all of our questions and he had great suggestions and made sure that we knew our options. We never felt pressured into anything and that's really appreciated. Being it's made to order they said it would take 4-6 weeks but it was delivered in 3 weeks!!! Love this place and highly recommend them.

However actually purchasing with them was an absolute nightmare of an experience. I purchase two items a bunkbed, and a king size bed frame. The bunkbed arrived with chips on the ladder. The delivery person tried to tell me that it was OK that the ladder had chips and I proceeded to let him know it was not OK and I took pictures of it so that I could send it to the store themselves. Once he saw me do this then he took the ladder down and he took it back to the warehouse to fix it. I had not heard from anyone for three weeks. I finally called the furniture store to ask them where my latter was, and they immediately they immediately delivered it within 48 hours. The king size bed however, was not nearly prompt. The bed was estimated to arrive within 4 to 6 weeks. I called them nine weeks after I purchased the bed that cost me a lot of money and I was told that they had tried to get in contact with me. I had never received any missed calls or any voicemail from the furniture store. Then once I did call them and follow up the bed was delivered to me within a week but it was missing the four drawers that were at the bottom. The delivery folks had attempted to call me but hung up after one ring and left my apartment when I did not open the door. Finally, I received the drawers two weeks after the bed and even then did not receive the phone call that was promised to me on what time they were delivered the drawers. The drawers were left outside of my door and I found them when I came outside. I found the service to be very poor. The follow up on the side of the furniture store was very slow, and I had to follow up many times in order to actually receive my furniture. I would not purchase from the store.

Love that they have items from WIlliams Sonoma, Pottery Bart, AND West Elm. So 3 stores in one. And I found a few items that I had seen at the Williams Sonoma at Valley Fair that were MUCH less expensive here. NICE! Next time I need some fancy kitchenware I will stop by this outlet store :) I had never seen an outlet like this before for this brand! I do not normally shop at the regular Williams Sonoma / Pottery Barn / West Elm stores. I am on the millenial budget (which means I am constantly thinking... how can I ever afford a house in the Bay Area?!?!) I really need to save up and watch where my pennies & dollars are going. I would say when I finally buy a place (whether it's a condo / townhouse / or SFH), I might do some browsing here. I see some great bargains here. However, the store is not very organized or clean. So one really needs to spend time digging through the rows and shelves. I would just be careful to make sure they ring you up on the listed price w/ the discounts. Still, I had fun browisng and would return in the future!

Some of the prices seemed marked up from the regular retails stores so even with the outlet discount it comes to a regular price. At least that's what I think. Still, lots of cool stuff here.

Now if you're looking for…read moresomething specific, you may or may not find something you want but if you do, you'll generally find something that's of good value and less than MSRP. This particular Marshalls can be hit or miss and I only go here once in a while, but when I do, I sometimes find the best things. L O C A T I O N Marshalls is located at The Great Mall in Milpitas. The parking here is nuts. It's just hard to find parking during peak shopping days and it's also nearby a restaurant so you're also competing for spots with them. Just be patient or park in areas where there's less traffic and just walk inside the mall to get to Marshalls. Luckily I've been able to find something nearby. I N S I D E It's a fairly spacious Marshalls. Home good areas is on the outer edge with clothing for women and men in the central area. Shoes are closer to the mall area entrance side. Two areas to check out. One near the mall entrance and one near the parking lot entrance. S E L E C T I O N This is where it can be a hit or miss. They sometimes have Breville appliances. I've also seen Manduka yoga mats during the beginning of the year. What I do like is that everything feels much more organized than in previous years. They had all their spring dresses out which was kind of nice! I didn't have much time, but they did have a good variety. I was here to look at yoga mats and they did have a good amount to look at, just the type of yoga mat I want wasn't there. I'm a bit particular with the surface as I do sweat a lot. But the prices were reasonable with $30 being the highest price I saw. I recall when I did see Manduka mats here, they were roughly $50-80? Which yes, it's imperfect, but it's a steal just no warranty. S E R V I C E When I've had to purchase things over the years (it's been a while folks), lines generally go fairly quickly as they do have many registers open when they see the lines becoming long. O V E R A L L Marshalls is a fun place to shop if you have time to wander through the aisles and peruse. You'll sometimes find a fantastic deal for something you need or not ;) But be wary it does get really busy on the weekends, parking can be a headache as well as check out can take longer.

It shares a huge lot with some popular eateries so it may be challenging to get a spot but if you're willing to walk a bit, check the backside of the mall and you may find some good shaded spots under some trees. This shop is huge and has plenty of new and old inventory ready to be sold at discounted prices. There's a lot to go through but if there's something specific, check out the section of the store that best fits that item. They have clothing, furniture, jewelry, electronics, bathroom essentials, kitchenware, as well as goodies for children and pets. I came here specifically in search of an espresso machine - I've been hoping to find something for a long time now. After perusing the other departments, I headed toward the registers and found what I was looking for! $150 off the list price was quite a bargain in my opinion and was exactly what I was looking for. The high end appliances and items seem to be locked up with magnetic anti-theft devices and this machine was no exception. Happy with my find, I headed through the snaking line toward the registers, which are abundant and managed by staff at the ready to complete the transaction. The staff were friendly, efficient, and not at all too pushy with selling their promotional store credit card which would have yielded more savings on this purchase. The transaction was quick and seamless. With the purchase also refundable, it made it just that much more reassuring to have shopped here. Overall, HomeGoods/TJ Maxx is quite a staple as a bargain store for many communities and this one is no different. The items for purchase is abundant, in good quality, and unique for those looking for some additional accent to add to their living space. Most of the staff are found near the registers with a few occasionally walking through the corridors to restock or organize a bit. It's comfortable shopping here with well ventilated air and sectioned off departments for more intentional buying. They also have a bathroom for patrons to use. For those also looking for home appliances like me, this is a great place to start - one of the few reasons to still shop at brick and mortar shops!
