I like to do my due diligence when making a big purchase. I visited this shop at least 4 times since October and even called a couple of times with questions. Mike and Mike were always patient, good-humored and very helpful, even though I didn't buy a bike on my first 3 visits. I finally ordered my bike and it arrived in 2 days. On the day I picked it up, the owner, Dave (maybe David) was there. He was also friendly and helpful. He helped me with some adjustments and even took me to the neighboring parking lot to give me some tips. Love this shop!!! I bought a Haibike All-Mountain SDuro a year ago, and it's made all the difference in the world. I had high cholesterol and high blood pressure. I had also gained a bunch of weight from a nasty knee injury which limited my mobility. My ebike is saving my life one ride at a time. The guys over there are the absolute best. Super friendly and knowledgeable, they always have time to help with a problem, or show you a new trail to tackle. I had an issue with my bike the other day (because I ride hard) and Mike Dills and Steve from the shop upstairs got me all fixed up and ready to go within an hour! And they were busy too! These bikes give you a lot of bang for your buck and look good too. I was a little unsure about the 4 inch fat tires but once I rode the bike I was hooked. And the power from the 1100 W motor and 750 Wh battery is unbelievable. The bike is a bit on the heavy side but you will never know because of the power it has. read more

I have been here about 10 times now, David and Mike are the co-owners, great guys. Currently, they operate a little shop underneath Open Road Bike Shop and sell Haibikes and Bulls. We have rented from them before, and did not buy from them due to higher prices, however, we gave them a second chance on our recent purchase, so after a few rounds of negotiations, we were finally agreed on a price and purchased our first bike from them. It was still higher, but we wanted our Local Bike Shop (LBS) to have the business and to support the local economy. We took delivery of our brand new 2017 BULLS Monster FS with no issues, the bike was tested, charged and ready to ride out of the their shop. If you are looking for a e-bike in the SoCal area, this is the place, they are a start up business right now, by the looks of it, I see them in a full service location by the end of the year. Their prices were much better than Myron's or that dreadful place in Santa Monica. So, go see Dave and Mike, not only do they sell the bikes, I see them on the trails a lot, they actually care about this FAST emerging trend in cycling and are HUGH advocates in E-Biking in the SGV. As far as service is concern, I haven't had a need for service yet, I will report on this later. My whole whole family went out on an e-bike ride post Thanksgiving. Dave was super helpful getting nine e-bikes together - for all different size riders. I will mention that while I didn't give him much advance notice, he was cheerful and accommodating and we were out the door in record time! We were lucky he had enough bikes available, and he even made a quick repair to one so I would have enough for our group. We rode from the shop over to Hahamonga Park, and had a glorious time. Came here with my husband and teenager to get everyone off the sofa for a Sunday afternoon. At 58, riding a bike had become challenging especially on hilly terrain. We rented a bike from Open Trails EMTB from their new store in Santa Clarita. The bike we rented was a mountain bike and I utilized it for one day. It preformed great on street and bike path. The electronic system was extremely easy to use very quiet and by the end of our two hour ride I had only used up 20 percent of the battery. My son was doing the bike trail from Santa Fe Dam down to the beach with a bunch of friends, so we rented an e-bike for him. Dave was really easy to work with and gave my son tips on that particular ride. But the best part was that Dave worked with us when we had problems returning the bike at the scheduled time. I enjoy mountain biking, but my wife does not have the physical ability to go with me. We have been married for 36 years and since all the kids have left home I have put an effort in finding activities to do together . I could not figure out how to enjoy this sport and get my wife to enjoy it with me. I found these guys on Craig's List and they advertised e-mountain bikes for rent. What a great experience. Dave and Mike hooked us up with a couple of Haibikes for the day and my wife had a blast. We went 15+ miles up hills, on dirt trails and around town that day. I bought a haibike electric bike at the Black Friday sale, and the people at Open Trails were very helpful. They spent plenty of time with me to explain the features of different bikes and let me test drive them in the large parking lot next to the store. There is a good selection of electric mountain bikes, but they stock other styles of electric bikes, and they offered to order a bike if it was not in stock. I went to Open Trails EMTB shop after I saw someone on an EMTB in Nov 2017 and was told this was the place to go and see EMTBs. I visited the place in Jan 2018 and Michael was very helpful in explaining all the different features of various bikes, and he suggested I could go back the next day at 9:00 AM and try a bike with Dave the owner on the trails. Next day I went in and met Dave, he was on time and extremely friendly and knowledge about EMTBs and trails in the area. Dave took me to a very cool single track trail with a bike he recommended for me, the trail we went on would have been an impossible climb all the way on my regular MTB. Half way into an 20 miles round trip ride, I decided that I MUST buy a EMTB :), Dave offered me an excellent deal..after we came back I did a little homework on the EMBT that I was getting ready to purchase. It had very good reviews and the price that Dave offered me the bike for was also great, I also got a COBI integrated system for my new bike. Dave set the bike up for me in the shop, adjusted the bike for my riding style, and later the in the day he actually delivered my new bike to my house in Pasadena. I really loved the service at this shop, and I am very happy I found this place so close to where I live. I definitely plan to go back and ride with the folks at the store..
