I wanted options (they have tons). I wanted artsy decks [them too!] and I wanted small altar candles [they had all the colors except gold and orange. So I'll be back]. They gave me a tour through the shop highlighting sections & foci and offered for me to sit at the center table to check out decks. Beware. I experienced the same issue mentioned in another 1-star review. I brought my bike in for a simple tire swap, I did not have a flat. I had just purchased new tires because I wanted a different tread, not because anything was wrong. After picking up my bike, my rear tire was flat. I pumped it up and continued my ride, but it went flat again shortly after. I returned to the shop to ask if something may have gone wrong during installation. Instead of taking a look or acknowledging the possibility of an installation issue, they told me my tube was the problem and tried to sell me a replacement. This was frustrating, especially since I had no issues before bringing my bike in. I usually go to REI for service but wanted to support a local bike shop. Unfortunately, this experience did the opposite. The lack of accountability is the main reason I'm writing this review. I ended up going back to REI, where the issue was properly addressed. read more

I was able to bring in a bike that was left outside for years and got it back to a functioning state thanks to this spot! I walked in and the guy told me what he can do for my bike within a day. I got new tires, tubes, pedals, and a replacement pedal bar. I was very happy with the work. Given I walked in during the afternoon and they got the work done in a matter of hours I was beyond satisfied. My old bike gave them some trouble as it was rusted. Before they change or upgrade their exterior. I had my tire fixed for inner tube is leaking air or a punctured for my road bike. I rode it right after they "repaired" it for an hour, I felt the bike was sluggish. I looked back, and the tire is flat again. I walked couple miles back to the shop. They said "I don't know what did you do, you must have ran a nail again." I'm very occupied person so biking is not my regular thing anymore. Recently I want to ride it again, and I saw the tire de-beaded itself from the wheel and this is what I see. Very disappointing to wanting support our local shops but they always try to rip people off. That is probably why they still surviving this pandemic and have enough money to renovate. 5 stars for salt of the earth people here. I'll come back just to support these cats. I'm a quarter of the way into my tri-weekly 20 mile bike ride down Huntington drive. Funk music in the headphones and my pedals in motion, I was in the groove~ *POP* Oh jfc...something no biker wants to feel on their favorite workout. My cheap flat pedal had completely shattered. It was 6pm and yelp said Cycle in Motion was closed but I did what you do in Covid times and called anyway. They picked up and Esteban (hope I got the name right) just so happened to be at the shop. He told me they were closed but asked where I was and offered to stay in time for me to make it there. This is when I realized how much of a prick I was! They'd been closed for an hour already and this stranger on the phone is offering to stay a tad longer for my selfish ass? I politely decline and tell them I'll just hoof it home 4 miles. I hang up and start the long slog home. I'm 20-30 minutes into my homeward bound journey and this car with a bike rack pulls up in front of me. I'm perplexed. The passenger and driver get out WITH CYCLE IN MOTION MASKS ON: "hey, did you call the shop?!" I'm so flabbergasted all I can let out is a laughing explicative as I feel completely undeserving of these two gentleman's help. I try to decline but they both insist and within minutes these two dudes - nay - these two Angels have my bike secured on their car and are driving my broken down self home. This is who runs this bike shop. These are the type of people who are going to hold your hand and make sure that you're happy, safe, and set up for success. My wife bought an e-bike online and had me assemble it. I took her new bike in for tuning because the rotors were rubbing on the calipers and these guys were able to take care of me same day to have it ready for pickup within a couple hours. Also worth noting I thought only the front was rubbing but the back rotor was rubbing as well. These guys took care of both. No more rubbing! Great customer service, timely, and super chill dudes. They've definitely got my business. I'll go back to them for future repair/maintenance on my wife's bike and my other bikes. read more
