Came here to write about my amazing experience at OP Nails and was very surprised to see the negative reviews. I came to OP Nails from a recommendation from a friend and was very happy with the results. When I came in, while all of the technicians were busy, they went to me as soon as they were free. I did not mind the wait, as it meant that the technicians cared very much for the experience of their customers and wanted to ensure that they had a positive time. Once someone was ready, I got my nails done by D and it was very well done. Nothing like one of the pictures on another review. I also got my eyebrows done by Anna. I have to be honest, I usually am very cautious when it comes to trusting someone with my eyebrows, but thankfully Anna did an amazing job. I will definitely be coming back when I want my eyebrows done. Overall very good experience at OP Nails, I will be recommending them to all of my friends. read more

I get my eyebrows done once a month and this is one of two places that I always go to. The girl who does waxing, Anna, does a great job. The wax strips she uses have a softer, less harsh feel to them so the waxing is not painful. She also does very minimal plucking, which I appreciate, because I can't stand it!! That's why I get them waxed in the first place!! Anna is quick and friendly; she remembered my name after just the first time I went there. I have never gotten any other service here, just waxing ($10 for eyebrows). They have broad hours, open every day and accept walk-ins. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes after I walk in on a busy day. read more

I have been going to OP forever! They are very friendly and will go out of the way for their customers. I had cancer last year and I was told that I had to be careful with infection because my white cells were extremely low. I told Anna about my situation and she made sure everything used on me was only used by me! They went out of there way. I could go to several nail places closer to my house but I decide to go OP for the service, quality and friendliness. The manicures and pedicure are very reasonable. You can walk in but I would recommend to call to schedule an appointment because they can get real busy on the weekends!! read more

This place is really discreet, but they go to extra lengths to accomodate their customers. It's been newly renovated and it gives it a quaint appearance. Most of their customers are repeat customers. If you want your nails or eyebrows done right and you're out in Des Plaines, drop or schedule an appointment - they're good at making people happy. I see that the staff here have very great skills being able to give me a great experience. I was able to get my eyebrows waxed in such a clean interior. With the tech who waxed my eyebrows she did a nice arch and really did not try to get my eyelids in the process very gentile and careful. The lady pulled out nail snippers to cut my cuticle from some drawer and after finishing put it back in there. Let's stick to facts: 1. Overfilled sidewalls to the point of pain 2. Very strange shape to the nails. 3. After applying builder gel the lady went in with a mechanical file and drilled my natural nail near the cuticle. (That's not the buffing before product application) so now I have damaged nails. 4. The product is lifting at the tip of at least half of the nails and food and debris is stuck in there and starting to smell. 5. I did call the business to try to recoup my losses but was only offered to come in. Needless to say I won't let them touch my nails again. This review is written and pictures taken 4 days after nails were done. I paid close to $60 to have this done to my nails.
