    Branzino Sashimi

Service is so friendly and warm! We had an appetizer that the server recommended. A branzino in a cold tomato consommé with flowers! Almost too lovely to eat. So refreshing on a hot day! You get a soup and salad with lunch specials- fresh and delicious!

Great ambience and service here. Food is def good, classic hibachi place prices were reasonable as well. About 20 some dollars for hibachi with soup salad included.

Steak, chicken, shrimp, Fried Rice, lo Mein and grilled vegetables!

One of my favorite restaurant, never disappointed going there. The food is amazing there and they give you so much, rarely able to finish everything. Always have to get a box to take the rest home, highly recommend

Pork Gyoza, it's pretty good with great flavor.

I absolutely love sushi, everything about it from the flavor to the ceremony that goes with eating it. Ooka does a good job deliverying on both but does leave somethings to be desired. First, the service of the restaurant is phenomenal, from the time you enter the restaurant until you leave you certainly feel appreciated. It seemed that our server was always on standby, never overdoing it but there exactly when we needed him. I enjoy this level of service and in all honesty it doesn't exist much outside of the top tier restaurants in a large city. I would have to give them an A+ for this! The food overall is as I expected. I guess I could consider this a gateway into sushi but nothing that really wowed me. We started with the Edamame and Gyoza with pork. The Edamame was good and as expected, steamed soy beans with a nice sprinkle of salt. The Gyoza in flavor was good, I enjoyed the pork and I was happy when I saw what appeared to be a crisp bottom but, after tasting they were the same texture all over. There's nothing like a delicate Gyoza with a crisp seared bottom...didn't happen here. They're not bad by any means but could be a little better. My wife isn't a seafood fan so we grabbed a table around a Hibachi, she opted for the Chicken Hibachi with a side of fried rice. The typical fanfare followed that you'd expect at the Hibachi, the food was cooked in front of us, with flames and a flaming onion and then of course the obligatory toss of food to us like we're dogs. Maybe this is why I never liked Hibachi, my ability to catch something flying at my face is pretty weak, so in this case (like so many times in the past) the slightly warm piece of zucchini bounced off my nose like a wild golf ball. At least it was kept to the side on the hibachi and only warmed, not hot or covered in oil. The fried rice was decent but lacked some flavor (I should've snuck in some MSG), the chicken too was lacking in flavor. However, the noodles and the vegetables were perfect. A great sauce clung to the noodles and the vegetables the right amount of char on them. Very good! Both of our meals came with salad and a soup, clear for my wife and white miso for me. I always have had miso soup after I eat sushi, so mine sat there the entire time until I was done. It was good and as expected, a good mix of seaweed, tofu and mushrooms with the funky flavor of the miso paste. A good way to finish the meal and help aid digestion. The salads, I could leave them, typical iceberg with tomatoes and cucumbers and that dressing that is supposed to be a mixture of ginger and carrot but never quite tastes like it. For my entree I opted for the Sushi and Sashimi combo for one. It was a selection of mixed Nigiri and Sashimi along with a roll and a crab salad. Honestly, I enjoyed the crab salad much more than I thought I would, but it was served atop an imitation crab roll (their Rainbow Roll). I had hoped that since I ordered a platter of raw food, my roll would match, that was disappointing. The rice on the nigiri was perfect and all of the fish was extremely fresh and cut correctly. What was lacking was the variety, only serving salmon, tuna, yellow tail and what I believe was striped bass both as sashimi and nigiri was an easy out. It would've been great had they mixed in something different as a sashimi that I hadn't already had as a nigiri. But again, the quality was good, flavor was good and preparation was good. And I have to remember where I am, looking around at the crowd, I'm sure they're not looking for some adventurous food. The restaurant probably does this to fly through product and maintain freshness. They also have a very good beverage list with a number of different Sake's listed. I simply opted for a carafe of Premium Sake which came warmed and had the ubiquitous fermented rice flavor that I find so addicting. All in all this is a good place to stop for some decent food and great service. I wouldn't go out of my way but if in the area it's a must try.

The food and service were incredible. Ooka has the best crispy katsu! The sushi tastes fresh and tender, and ramen is also amazing and layered with flavors.

Holy cow. We haven't even gotten half way through our take out today and I have to say this is hands down some of the best sushi I've had in the area in a long time. Big, fresh, delicious cuts of every fish I've tried. Delectable seasoning. Crunch where it's supposed be. Salt where it's supposed to be. A dash of sweet where it's supposed to be. A little spice where it's supposed to be. Fantastic.

The service, the food, and the ambience are consistently outstanding, creating an experience that is never a disappointment and always leaves me looking forward to my next visit.

I enjoy the sushi here. The service is always great too. We ordered the couple's set. Sushi for two. Yikes it was actually too big for me and my friend. It was absolutely delicious though! It came with soup and a salad

Fun kids birthday venue for entertainment and good food. Very noisy. Service could have been a lot better but we enjoyed Ooka.

Ooka is our go to restaurant for Sushi. They have the best rolls in Doylestown. The atmosphere is also great, a pleasure to dine here.

I was told that Great Wall is permanently removed from our lineup.. Generals Chicken was SO hot it couldn't be eaten. The chicken quality has gone down but after our last issue we decided it may NOT have been Great Wall that caused the stomach issues..... despite my assertion it was a Tabby Cat.... NOW I'm convinced... it was either feline, canine or the roughest toughest chicken this side of the coop. Vegetable Spring Rolls?!?!? Luke warm AT BEST, soggy, and ALWAYS changing the brand they're buying frozen because they haven't been consistent in over a year. Crab Rangoon? Overdone phyllo filled with "something"... a little duck sauce and voila... fried poo. I needed to rant. $40 down the drain, didn't eat but a few bites and with an impending blizzard, I'm not wasting any more time or gas driving back there to get a refund, and certainly NOT an exchange. Stay far away.

I hate leaving a bad review because I almost never do, especially for a place I've supported for…read moreyears. I've been coming here since the day they opened, usually 3-4 times a month, and I've always had great experiences. My son will only eat vegetables if they're their hibachi vegetables, so we order them all the time. Even after they stopped offering hibachi vegetables as a side, they've always been kind enough to make them for us anyway. The staff has always been friendly, accommodating, and the food has consistently been amazing. Unfortunately, today's experience was completely different. I placed my order at 5:05 PM. I wasn't given a wait time, which was fine--I could tell they were busy on the phone, so I assumed it would take a while. I waited about 45 minutes before heading there, thinking my food would be ready. It wasn't. I ended up waiting even longer and didn't receive my order until around 6:05 PM, so over an hour after I placed it. While the wait was frustrating, I understood they were busy and wasn't upset about it. As I started driving home, I decided to check the bag because of how hectic things seemed inside. Sure enough, the yum yum sauce was missing. I had ordered both hibachi vegetables and a hibachi meal, which normally come with yum yum sauce and ginger sauce. I always ask to swap the ginger sauce for an extra yum yum sauce because I don't use the ginger sauce. I turned around and went right back. I politely explained that the yum yum sauce wasn't in my bag and asked if I could get the two yum yum sauces instead. The woman at the front looked at me like she didn't believe me, went to the back, came back with the sauces, and then asked if I had cash to pay for them. I was honestly shocked. I explained that the sauces were never in my bag to begin with and even offered to bring the bag inside if she wanted to see it. I had literally just left, realized they were missing, and drove straight back. It made no sense to be questioned or asked to pay for something that should have been included with my meal. To be clear, this wasn't about the money. Their food isn't cheap, and compared to other hibachi and sushi restaurants in the area, they're definitely on the pricier side. I'm there three or four times a month, so I probably spend $150-$200 there every month. If I had actually wanted extra sauce, I would have gladly paid for it. What bothered me was being asked to pay for something that should have already been in my bag. I had already waited over an hour for my food. If the sauces had been there, I would have gone home and eaten. I certainly wouldn't have driven back just to try to get free sauce. The only reason I turned around was because my son and I won't eat our hibachi without yum yum sauce--he literally won't touch it without it. What made the experience even more disappointing was the attitude. I've always known this restaurant for having friendly, welcoming staff, especially toward my son. Today, the woman at the front seemed irritated with almost everyone she interacted with, not just me. I also overheard another customer mention that she had been told her order would take 30-45 minutes, but she had been waiting much longer as well. If the kitchen is backed up, that's understandable, but giving customers a realistic estimate would go a long way. This one experience won't erase years of great food and excellent service, and I'll probably still come back because we genuinely love this restaurant. I just hope today's experience was an exception and not a sign that customer service is slipping. Waiting over an hour for food is one thing, but then having to drive back because part of the order was missing and being treated like I was trying to get free sauce was really disappointing.

Since I like Ramen bowl especially cold winter day, I ordered their Tonkotsu Ramen bowl. First off, it took quite long time this ramen bowl to be served...almost 30 minutes. This was a negative thing for sure. At a glance of served ramen bowl, it looked good. Size and toppings seemed to be promising after a long wait. First taste of Tonkotsu soup was...well, very luke warm, really. Soup of ramen bowl should be temperature hot accordingly; but this soup was really luke warm. It unfortunately tasted like very deluted Tonkotsu broth...no flavor but just tasted salt and weak hint of broth. Thin straight noodles were overcooked and mushed texture; this made it worse as noodles were also not hot. Toppings were generous, I shall say. Green beggie was refreshing and chashu pork was good. Hopefully they can improve serving time, soup temperature and noodle boil time.
