Cynthia is insanely good when it comes to nail art! After all my years of hopping from Asian nail place to Asian nail place, I finally found my go to. As a nail tech, she is meticulous, crafty, and the best part of all super fast. She will incorporate whatever idea you have and enhance it x10. And if you don't like something, she'll wipe it off and do it again within a matter of seconds. Other nail techs would always work so slowly or take forever for them to understand my vision, but again Cynthia is fast AF and makes sure that it's perfect. Gotta love a perfectionist as a nail tech haha. Making an appointment with her is easy. She's based in ktown, but there's actually FREE PARKING for the building her salon is in. She's easy to talk to, unlike a lot of nail salons where I just feel awkward or forced to talk the whole time. It's a way more pleasant nail service experience! She's super attentive and detailed when it comes to my nails and always makes sure I'm happy with her designs. She's so artistic and creative and she does all of her designs by hand!! Been feeling a little down lately because of covid and not being able to get my nails done for a really really REALLY long time. Super happy and excited that Cynthia re-opened! She took a lot of safety precautions because I was required to wash my hands for 20 seconds, get my temperature taken, and keep my mask on. She also has this clear shield on the table to reduce any other risks so I feel very safe getting my nails done with her. I typically get Gel-X because I like how it makes my nails feel stronger and thicker. I've been going to her for over a year now and my nails continue to grow super long because she maintains the integrity of my nails. She's also very articulate and has a strong attention to detail. Sometimes, I ask for designs on my nails for special occasions and she never fails me! I do love a plain and simple nail design but her special designs are so darn cute to pass an opportunity on! Haven't gotten my nails done in a quickkkk minute but I'm glad I visited Cynthia for my new do! I usually get gel on my own nails or gel extensions when I want them longer. This time I needed them longer cus my nails were so irregularly sized. I was thinking about gel extensions but Cynthia recommended trying out GEL X since they tend to be softer and more gentle on the nails. I was a bit hesitant since I've never tried it before and that's just me and my skeptical self. But in the end I'm liking them a lot. It feels light unlike acrylics and it's not all that bulky when you're looking at them from side profile. Im super indecisive and have a hard time expressing myself but after showing Cynthia a picture of the design I wanted, she helped me make it even SEXIER than the original. My nails be lookin good and Im feeling like a real lady Also, I'm not much of a socializer but she was super cool to converse with and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Booked a nail service, went to the address and it was a waxing shop. Got super confused and called 5+ times, no one answering the phone. Just got the text message saying I will get charged because I'm being late, called again, no one answered a phone. The owner eventually texted me saying I should've read a email instructions before a nail appointment. How inconvenient to get a nail done to make appointment, confirm, find a location where you can't see ANY sign in/out of the building (let alone if this is a legit business), get charged for nothing. I am in love with them because of how thin they look on my small nail bed & also there's hardly any smell. On the plus side they last over 2 weeks for me before I need a refill and I like that they are soak off nails, so no need for painful acrylic removals.
