Been feeling a little down lately because of covid and not being able to get my nails done for a really really REALLY long time. Super happy and excited that Cynthia re-opened! She took a lot of safety precautions because I was required to wash my hands for 20 seconds, get my temperature taken, and keep my mask on. She also has this clear shield on the table to reduce any other risks so I feel very safe getting my nails done with her. I typically get Gel-X because I like how it makes my nails feel stronger and thicker. I've been going to her for over a year now and my nails continue to grow super long because she maintains the integrity of my nails. She's also very articulate and has a strong attention to detail. Sometimes, I ask for designs on my nails for special occasions and she never fails me! I do love a plain and simple nail design but her special designs are so darn cute to pass an opportunity on! So grateful that I found a professional nail artist who understands me and my wants with my nails. She has a loyal client in me!
Just wanted to try a new place for my nails, and Cynthia absolutely killed my engagement shoot nails! I basically asked her to do what she could with my short, very unevenly cut nails and she absolutely delivered. It was quick, efficient, and fun :) Definitely will be back! Parking out front to the second floor salon!
Cynthia has a great little studio in the middle of ktown WITH plenty of free parking!! She can do basically anything you ask for and the whole experience is super fun. I can always trust her to slay my nails even when I don't know what I want. Prices seem normal for the area considering the detail in the art. I drive all the way from OC to KTOWN to get my nails done with her and I will definitely be back!
Okay so Cynthia is great! Like others have said she's so easy to talk to. She's funny and sassy (without even trying) and she's so GOOD AT HER JOB. I'm picky as heck when it comes to my nails. She literally listened to every one of my requests and executed it flawlessly. I will say though not to expect her prices to be like those cheap nail salons where you can't even understand what the person is saying-- you are paying for QUALITY WORK and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! (Think gourmet burgers at restaurants vs McDonald's dollar menu) Look at the even-ness of my nails. My nails were crappy bc I hadn't gotten them done in over a year but she fixed em right up!

I can finally say that I found my girl to do my nails, not only is she friendly and welcoming but her nail etiquette is on point , I'm legit in love with my nails!!!
Haven't gotten my nails done in a quickkkk minute but I'm glad I visited Cynthia for my new do! I usually get gel on my own nails or gel extensions when I want them longer. This time I needed them longer cus my nails were so irregularly sized. I was thinking about gel extensions but Cynthia recommended trying out GEL X since they tend to be softer and more gentle on the nails. I was a bit hesitant since I've never tried it before and that's just me and my skeptical self. But in the end I'm liking them a lot. It feels light unlike acrylics and it's not all that bulky when you're looking at them from side profile. Im super indecisive and have a hard time expressing myself but after showing Cynthia a picture of the design I wanted, she helped me make it even SEXIER than the original. My nails be lookin good and Im feeling like a real lady Also, I'm not much of a socializer but she was super cool to converse with and made me feel comfortable the whole time. One thing-- I really enjoy getting my hands soaked in warm soap water before everything to get rid of my cuticles + hand massage at the end BUT I didn't experience that here. Maybe I'm old school :)

Cynthia is insanely good when it comes to nail art! After all my years of hopping from Asian nail place to Asian nail place, I finally found my go to. As a nail tech, she is meticulous, crafty, and the best part of all super fast. She will incorporate whatever idea you have and enhance it x10. And if you don't like something, she'll wipe it off and do it again within a matter of seconds. Other nail techs would always work so slowly or take forever for them to understand my vision, but again Cynthia is fast AF and makes sure that it's perfect. Gotta love a perfectionist as a nail tech haha. Making an appointment with her is easy. She's based in ktown, but there's actually FREE PARKING for the building her salon is in. She's easy to talk to, unlike a lot of nail salons where I just feel awkward or forced to talk the whole time. It's a way more pleasant nail service experience! I am not going to anyone else, especially with the amount of compliments on these babies literally DAILY. From the first day I get them to their very last days where it's about to fall off lol. Cynthia just understands my soft pastel girl aesthetic! I can trust her vision if I bring an idea like picnic or starlight theme, I know I'll love it when it's all said and done. She's so detailed and has so many options of glitters and jewels to choose from. It gives you the creative freedom to go all in on the design. In my opinion, it's hard to find someone who has the talent, openness, and creativity for nail art and with Cynthia I know I can trust her to deliver. read more

I've been going here for my nails for 3 years now and I wouldn't trust anyone else but Cynthia! She's super attentive and detailed when it comes to my nails and always makes sure I'm happy with her designs. She's so artistic and creative and she does all of her designs by hand!! Never uses stencils for these intricate designs and she really takes her time to perfect them. My nails always last 4-5 weeks and she's fast too. Cynthia is now my new go-to girl for nails! I came in with the jankiest nails anyone could have. They were extremely damaged and uneven (results of bad previous nail job). She educated me and advised me to get Gel X over acrylics. I appreciated that she put the health of my nails into consideration. I also came in not really knowing what I wanted. Luckily Cynthia understood my extra-ness AND was able to create something I ended up absolutely LOVING. Many nail artists can recreate and inspo-pic, but very few can be creative. I 200% trust her enough to say "surprise me" from now on. I'm long over due for my next appointment (3-4 weeks) BUT wow.. literally nothing chipped or broke off. None of the jewels fell off. I'm beyond impressed. Give Cynthia a shot! You won't regret it read more

WOW! Cynthia definitely nailed it. I've always loved long nails with super pretty design but not too much keeping it classy and simple. & Cynthia helped me make my vision come true. I always want to stay in the safe side keeping it simple but Cynthia always encourage me to go out of my comfort zone and each time I love it ! Came in with bare nails and was planning on Acrylic until she told me about Gel X and how itd be better for my nails, so got a full Gel -X set. First off, what a cute name!! Secondly, I always leave Cynthia loving my nails because she can do any kind of nails for any mood I'm in. I always get complimented on my nails everywhere I go! She's so talented!!! My favorite nail art are her acrylic flowers but she has so many colors, glitters and gems to choose from! She can also practically build anything out of acrylic. All my acrylics last 3 weeks before I need to see her again for a fill. Love her!!! read more

I absolutely love GEL X or GEL EXTENSIONS done with Cynthia. I used to be an acrylic only girl but my nail beds were thinning out from the glue bead & the edges were lifting like crazy, but I decided to try out gel extensions as it is a healthier alternative to acrylic. I am in love with them because of how thin they look on my small nail bed & also there's hardly any smell. On the plus side they last over 2 weeks for me before I need a refill and I like that they are soak off nails, so no need for painful acrylic removals. I also really love all of the designs Cynthia has been able to re create for me based on Pinterest finds, it makes me feel at ease knowing my nail tech can basically design whatever I want! I would recommend Cynthia and her work to everyone. read more

I was always a simple gal when getting my nails done. I would always get regular gel nails with no designs, super boring. I thought acrylics were damaging to my nails and would be hard to work with doing everyday tasks. BUT, Cynthia has changed my life! I got acrylics done by Cynthia for Coachella and I haven't stopped getting my nails done from her ever since. From acrylics to now Gel Xs, which I am super obsessed with now, I just can't stop! Cynthia is super flexible and creative. She listens to my ideas but also adds her own twist of creativity and art to the nails. I always get so many compliments as well! Do you use Japanese brand gel products? If so, which ones?
Hi I do! I mainly use Kokoist for a majority of my products but I do have a few things from other Japanese and Korean brands such as Presto, Fgel, etc.
How much is it for gel and design?
A gel manicure is $50 including removal for next time and designs are around $5 a finger (give or take depending on complexity/stonework or 3d art)
