FULL DISCLOSURE THIS REVIEW IS 100% authentic and I've been a client of Maria's for 2+ years. I…read morefound her on the internet and have been blessed by her talents since the day I made my first appointment. I absolutely LOVE everything about getting my gel x manicures done at Clawz By Goddess. First off- she has your best interest in mind. She takes the necessary time to evaluate your nail health and modify your services to help improve the longevity of your manicures. She carefully soaks off work done by other nail techs, and tells you exactly what they did incorrectly and she details how it should have been done. This has allowed the strength and color of my nails to thrive. It took time to repair, but going to Maria is what fully fortified my nails and nail beds to be their absolute best. Second, her design and creative skills are out of this world! The amount of precision and attention to detail she has when she paints your nails- she's a nail tech and gifted nail artist as well! Her and I love to brainstorm (ahead of time of course, so that my appointments are efficient) and personalize designs according to the mood/color/vibe I'm feeling for that day. She's patient as hell, but don't take advantage of her kindness! She's booked and busy, rightfully so! So always come on time, with a design in mind, and try not to switch up after she's applied color. Third, the natural hospitality persona she has is such a delight. Truly a rarity in the nail service world. You feel safe and comfortable discussing everyday casual things and she also gives you a "silent" option if your prefer not to talk. She even lets you choose the playlist on her speaker!!!!! Literally the most personalized self-care visit a nail salon could offer. If you're considering being a client of Maria's... you should definitely not waste time. Her calendar is always open! She is my forever nail tech and I highly recommend visiting her.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Everything was terrible, from check in all the way til check out…read more First, the front desk girl seemed a bit disorganized and overwhelmed...mind you, the salon was so calm and quiet so I don't know what could've had her so anxious. While I'm waiting to get called, she realizes she messed up someone else's appointment who already got sat, they got her water running and everything, and they tell her she has to get up. A whole mess. This one obviously didn't affect me directly but it affected the overall experience. Then, I finally get called (I was waiting ~10 mins over my appointment time). The technician starts my nails when she gets the first phone call. I could see she's struggling balancing the nails and what seemed to be an important call cause she was also overwhelmed (idk what it is about this place but everyone is clearly overwhelmed). She hangs up, continues my nails and then she gets ANOTHER call. This time she just randomly stands up and runs to take it in the back room. Listen, things happen, but I knew this wasn't an emergency...she had just told me it's a package delivery. She left me waiting for, I kid you not, ~5 minutes (probably longer but let's just say 5), no explanation, no nothing. When she comes back, I say that if it's an emergency then I can wait for another technician so she can handle whatever she needs. She apologies and goes back to my nails, thankfully she didn't get up again but the finished product was HORRENDOUS on top of everything! My nails are so scratched and dry! I was really hoping to have a good experience as I'm looking for a new nail salon in the area but this was just unacceptable.
