I reached out to Yoco who responded promptly and scheduled me right away. I was immediately impressed by her clear communication, attentiveness and thoughtfulness. Her design was exactly what I hoped for! I'm excited to show off these killer nails! Thank you Yoco!!

This time we discovered Yoko on Instagram (@leafa_nails) and had to make an appointment after seeing her artistry. Make sure to make an appt ahead of time because she's the sole nail artist at this location. The gel nail art price is flexible depending on complexity and super affordable compared to some other places I've been to ($60 for intricate nail art on 4 nails total). She's thoughtful, sweet, and makes sure to make it her own style. My nails ended up making it on her instagram which was a minor achievement if I say so myself :)

Cynthia is insanely good when it comes to nail art! After all my years of hopping from Asian nail…read moreplace to Asian nail place, I finally found my go to. As a nail tech, she is meticulous, crafty, and the best part of all super fast. She will incorporate whatever idea you have and enhance it x10. And if you don't like something, she'll wipe it off and do it again within a matter of seconds. Other nail techs would always work so slowly or take forever for them to understand my vision, but again Cynthia is fast AF and makes sure that it's perfect. Gotta love a perfectionist as a nail tech haha. Making an appointment with her is easy. She's based in ktown, but there's actually FREE PARKING for the building her salon is in. She's easy to talk to, unlike a lot of nail salons where I just feel awkward or forced to talk the whole time. It's a way more pleasant nail service experience! I am not going to anyone else, especially with the amount of compliments on these babies literally DAILY. From the first day I get them to their very last days where it's about to fall off lol. Go to her, you won't regret it!

She's so detailed and has so many options of glitters and jewels to choose from. It gives you the creative freedom to go all in on the design. The service I booked was a Russian manicure with gel x. I decided to go with Bubble bunny for the color. The shape is by far the best I have ever gotten. "that's a different technique" and "I will have to cut your nails" and "I've never seen it done that way but I can try it"... I told her multiple times that I want natural looking nails just a little longer than my own. Well... I had to end the service early because she did not listen. She shave my index finger nail down to the point that there is no nail. Even though she reassured me that my nail was on top. I told her to stop the service and just take the gel off. I will pay whatever needs to be paid. So she took the gel off and ended up destroying ALL of my nails in the process. I also paid $170 for my damaged nails. I made an appointment with another salon while I was there because I can't have jagged destroyed nails as a doctor seeing patients. The risk is yours, but I will never go here again.

The salon had a calm atmosphere, and everything felt clean and comfortable. The only small hiccup was that the technician I originally booked with had to step away to help another client due to what seemed like a scheduling mix-up. Another technician finished my service instead, including my polish, and she did an excellent job, so it didn't end up affecting the quality of my experience. Overall, it's hard to find a nail salon that consistently does quality work, and I'm so happy I found one within walking distance. Highly recommend!

I've never felt "welcomed" which is kind of crazy when I'm spending $200+ and I wouldn't describe the experience as luxurious. The first time, I was actually just there for a manicure and got hit a few times by people walking around the crowded area. Decided to never come here until I want a pedicure too. I've also noticed that my polish does not seem to last quite as long as it does at my usual spots in Orange County. Less than two weeks before chipping. The parking lot is awful, so I usually have to rideshare, which just adds to the cost. There is an Equinox (I think that's the gym?) across the street, so maybe you could park there? There's also street parking but it's always taken when I show up. I've never really understood the hype around this place. It's fine, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. I think I prefer Townhouse as my regular spot. I'd go back if it was convenient, but...I just don't think it's special.
