All the highly rated salons were booked up when I wanted a last minute appointment so I took a chance on this salon with only 2 reviews at the time. Yoko was great-took her time to do a fabulous mani/pedi. ($40 for both). So glad she's 3 blocks from my house! This is the first manicure I've gotten in LA that lasted more than 3 days. It looked really good for NINE whole days (and pretty good still at 13!) And it's dark red. I don't mind paying a little more (I think it's $18 for a regular mani by itself) if it's gonna last that long. The process was a bit slow (almost 1.5 hours for both) I hate sitting for a long time - but with the great results, I don't think I'll mind next time. Will definitely return. BTW... The salon is inside Nobu Hair... I had walked by a bunch of times and didn't know I could get my nails done. Great find! read more

Leafa was so accommodating to your needs! So attentive and so skilled at such a reasonable price! I love love love my nails! Although it took longer than expected, she was a great conversationalist and the time flew right by. Tools were clean, many options for designs, and color selection is great. The one thing that was hard to find in the beginning is the location, it is actually inside a hair salon (Nobu hair salon) and she rents a station in the back. I'm coming up on my second week since I got my mani/pedi at Leafa, and not a single nail has chipped. This is a big deal, since I have seriously abused my nails these last couple of weeks hauling and assembling furniture. So the workmanship at this little nail shop is really up there - comparable to the best manicures I've ever gotten in NYC (Rehoboth) - at a confusingly low price - $40 for mani/pedi. The only thing I wasn't 150% satisfied with was the color selection, which is probably small in proportion to the size of the shop. But who cares about a nice manicure color if it doesn't last past a week?? I plan on bringing along a few of my own OPI/Essies next time I go, just in case. Just note that Leafa is located within Nobu Hair Salon, so you can park for free at the valet lot next door! LOVE it. read more

Compared to brown eyed girls, her spot is definitely smaller and there is less availability (since it's her alone) but yoco is very tentative and know exactly what you're looking for.
