AMAZING job by Cindy!!!!!!!!!!! I'm blown away!!!!!!!!!!
Elle S.

I had the best acrylic manicure I've ever had by Cindy here about a year ago l, but I never posted the review & forgot the name of this salon. I'd been trying to come back & knew it was on Santa Monica Blvd but kept coming to the wrong place. I finally realized that the reason was that I was filtering "4 star & up" nail salons on Yelp, so that's why this location wasn't showing. However, I wouldn't give it four stars for several reasons. Likes: - very affordable. Dip powder manicure + $15 neck massage was $50 before tip - Colours are exactly like how they appear in the book - wide range of colours - amaaaaaazing neck massage, $15 for 15 mins. Much needed! - Suited for walk-ins - did not use UV light for dip powder (dried manually, 10 mins) Dislikes - not very aesthetic inside, messy - I called asking if I could come in at 4, the lady said yes. I waited in the chair (I was only getting a dip powder manicure) for exactly 30 mins before a technician started w me. I wish she had told me over the phone that there was a wait. I was under the impression I was making an appt. This seemed to be an issue for other people coming in & waiting for a while/wondering if they should leave. - natural nail dip powder kind of bulky - wish it was filed more - when my thumb cuticle bled after cutting, it was not disinfected :/

I enjoyed a very thorough gel nail manicure and pedicure. Helen was gentle and did a great job!'

Lifted hard gel nail (a week after I got them done)

I've been seeing Aly for more than a year now and she's been great so can't say anything bad about her. My horrible experience was with the old man who sometimes seats at the front. I came in on a Monday to get my hard gel nail fixed (it peeled off from the bottom). He saw me and was so rough with my nail, he broke it in half and never said sorry or anything just tried to glued back like nothing. My hand was numb after seeing him and my nail hurt for days. He charged me $10 for this and it came off a week later!! I texted today asking how much they would charge to remove the hard gel (that was done just on 9/13) since the nail he "fixed" came off and they responded $15. Are you kidding me!? Not coming back ever again. Please stay away from him!

Today I got my nails done by Thomas! He is the best. My nails look so natural. I wanted a natural French tip dipped powdered.

Best Nail spa in West Los Angeles. Thomas did an amazing job in my nails. Love them

My favorite place! Ali the absolute best! I also love Aimee! I am picky about my nails and she always makes them look perfect! Highly recommend!!!! I usually get hard gel French tip and they will last me 3-4 weeks!

Started to feel and notice this chip on my right index finger

This will be my last visit. After 3 consecutive gel manicures that have chipped after 1 week.... I'm finally yelping this place and not coming back. They raised their prices so you would think quality would be the same as before, if not better. But since this fall, I've come in for back-to-back-to-back gel manicures; I have been so unsatisfied, but I still wanted to give them a chance. I've been getting gel manicures for almost 15 years, I know how it works. This is the first time I've ever had them chip - 3x in a row, with three different colors. After what happened on the previous to this visit, I asked the lady doing my nails to do a second coat of the topcoat; she asked the owner who said "no". They've become so stingy. They used to do 2 coats before but I noticed with these 3 last visits they hadn't. So now they've RAISED their prices, doing THINNER coats, with one layer of the topcoat - of course my manicure will start to chip after several days with it becoming more noticeable on day 7. I'm really disappointed. I paid for something that literally lasted several days when it could still be so nice for up to two weeks. The second time it chipped, I had to cut my nails shorter so it wouldn't be so noticeable because I couldn't go back to get my nails done due to my work schedule. The fact that I had to trim all my nails down just to accommodate the two chips. Terrible. I didn't yelp when there was a nasty young lady who did my manicure and nicked my skin which caused me to bleed after I asked her to be careful. I will never forget: she actually had the audacity to be mad at ME! She became very rough with her care and how she filed my nails, etc. She was clearly upset. The nerve. I didn't yelp that experience, I figured, I'll just avoid her which I have all this time. She was rude and very rough. It's like they get offended when you respectfully ask them to "be careful because I'm diabetic". I deserve to be treated with respect and care. I'm paying you. This is not free, this is not a favor. But, most of them are like that. Entitled and angry. Then they'll start talking about you in their language. Just disrespectful. I wanted to overlook all of that for a decent gel manicure. But, I just can't anymore after I was told NO for a second topcoat. And sure enough, without it, my gel lacked shine after several days and started to chip. Again, thinner and thinner layers will do this. You don't want thick layers either, that will cause the gel to peel or bubble...BUT not too thin either that regular everyday activities will cause them to thin even more and eventually chip. New customers, please avoid this place. Ohhhhh, now I understand why an angry customer came in demanding a REDO on her gel because that chipped after a couple of days. She was from out of state and absolutely livid. They had the nerve to suggest to her that they probably chipped from her using her laptop....like from TYPING!!!! What on earth?! Avoid this place, please.

This place is my obsession. Been coming for 3 years. Cindy is an incredible owner, technician and person. Adore her & this entire shop. Plus they are open late!

Gel Manicure

My favorite go to nail Salon in West LA. It's always clean and the team is very professional. They have the skill set and technique to handle everything from basic gel, acrylic ,dip, to more complicated hybrid gel. There's nothing they cannot do!

A friend recommended Sensation Nails a few months ago and I came for a manicure which lasted a month!!! So I had to come back for another before a long trip. I called in the morning and arrived around 10:30 for a mani/pedi. Glad I came early because by 11:15 they were getting busy with walk-ins. Lisa did my gel manicure. She was so sweet and friendly; I'll definitely be asking for her next time I come back. They have a large variety of colors to chose from and offer other services like neck massage and waxing. They are in a strip mall so parking is pretty easy too.

Hieu (pronounced "Hugh") is the only one I trust with my gel manicures, and Cindy is my favorite for a thorough pedicure. She is seriously excellent at callus removal and massages. Pro-tips: (1) try the herbal detox pedi treatment and (2) schedule Hieu days in advance (his gel manis can last for 3-4 weeks, so he's always booked out for days)

The first very nice woman clearly had zero clue how to do dip glitter (which I explained at the front exactly what I was wanting to do, which I have done here before). Cut to two hours later this woman (not her fault, she didn't have the right experience and also couldn't understand what I was saying) had taken a very, very long time to do a semi-simple job. The lovely man who took over for her and completely erased everything she did for two hours was their normal efficiency. But because they didn't have the time, the job is completely botched. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful he did it, but I also did not want to be sitting there for 3.5 hours for something that would have taken the second man 1 hour to do. It's been 3 hours and my nails are peeling. If you can't do something, then don't say you'll do it. Worse yet, if someone spends two hours literally ruining a customers nails - the next person who does it better have the time to fix it correctly, and you should be mindful to make sure it's done correctly. Or say come back some other time? I'm not sure. But what I'm sure of is today was a complete waste of my day, time, probably theirs as well, and I paid full price and got a very poor result. Been coming here for years and not sure I will come back. I adore the guy who jumped and fervently "fixed" a very poor job... but he also very clearly didn't finish it well. And I wasn't happy about sitting through watching the botched job either, so it was never a favor For reference - the mint is what I left with today after 3.5 hours, which is now peeling. And not sparkling. And not properly sealed because the second time around was insanely rushed. The pink/blue/purple was the same glitter in March. Took one of their artists 1 hour at most, stayed for weeks, and wasn't $90. Inconsistent.

The salon itself is clean, relaxing, and has such a calm, welcoming vibe -- you can actually unwind instead of feeling rushed or herded through like an assembly line. Everything felt intentional and well-kept. And Grace... she is THAT girl. Her attention to detail is unreal. She took her time, made sure everything was shaped perfectly, and didn't cut corners at all. You can tell she really cares about her work and takes pride in what she does. My nails came out flawless -- clean, precise, and exactly what I wanted (honestly even better). On top of that, she's so sweet and easy to talk to, which just makes the whole experience even better. Once Annie saw me, she worked as quickly as possible which I appreciated but unfortunately my experience was already soured by then. I decided to give them another try and came back for gel x removal and builder gel. Unfortunately, they were overly aggressive with the removal and filed my nails paper thin. Most gel nail places are way too harsh in your nails, and I was looking for a more non-toxic approach. I am not a fan of the soak off removal approach, as my nails become brittle. I was also looking for a salon that didn't do acrylics because of the smell because I was pregnant then. I am happy to say I am a regular, both Kazumi and Aiko are wonderful. My nails have never been healthier and I often get people commenting on the designs. They are super fast and do such great designs, anything you can think of or if you have examples they are very skilled. Their prices are very reasonable for the west side for the quality you get. The way she works is very zen-like. She keeps her tools very neatly in one place, she is very resourceful, she is very quiet and smooth with her movements. She took extra time to make sure my nail art was good as it can be. The reason why I give 3 stars is because although she is very talented, she lacks in basic nail skills. Initially I was very happy with my white ombré nails but I noticed my cuticles weren't as smooth as they typically would have been if I had gone to my usual spot. I remember noticing that my cuticles weren't cut and Kazumi told me that cutting cuticles would dry them out more. Sadly, as the day went on I was stressing out and the next day I had to get my cuticles fixed right before of my wedding at another salon. The technician actually told me that my nails "looked terrible." I am sure Kazumi gives great work to other clients, but I was disappointed and I don't know if I will come back. My cuticles aren't always in the best shape (I'm a healthcare worker) but I expect at least they would've been cleaned up better considering the $50+ I spent and the fact that my nails were going to be photographed up close for my wedding.
