Her polishes are varied and fresh, unlike many who use old prepandemic stock! A mani pedi will take about 90 minutes and half that time if you only do one service. Let me start off by saying I like to only do regular nail polish for my nail's health, and I love painting my nails myself and have a collection of nail polishes that I bring to salons. I made appointments at various nail salons for them to do the design below for my upcoming graduate photo shoot. This was the second time they gave an appt. And then went back on it. I decided to give them another try since they usually seem empty. Today I drove 30 min for an appt. Where I asked for 3 or 3:30. She very clearly gave me 3:30. So I sat outside eating until 3:30 and when I walked in at 3:30. She said I told you 3:00 which was absolutely false. I like to use my own and I often have her lay down a glittering coat of "Frisson" (Chanel #543) on top of my base color. CLEANLINESS Amazing Nails is a clean operation. Very clean. And that is important to me. I would not have my nails done in a salon that wasn't very clean. PRICE $55 for a manicure and a pedicure is NOT inexpensive. But, it's well worth it. I've found that Yasue's manicures will last up to two weeks (if I apply a coat of Rejuvacote every day for the first few days) and her pedicures can last for a solid month. Where to start? Yasue is really passionate about her business, a real artist, she never ever disappoints. Her pedicures last for weeks as would her manicures, but I work with my hands and they take a beating - so I'm there every other week. Her services are one on one. Her salon is intimate, clean and doesn't have that dreadful chemical smell that plagues most of the large nail salons. Her work is detailed and precise & her foot and hand massages are heavenly. I'm terrible & never really plan my appointments in advance, but even though Yasue works alone she always does her best to accommodate my last minute planning. Her prices are very reasonable and for small extra charge (on certain days) she also does house calls. Parking in Westwood is generally a pain. There is metered parking around the Phoenix Salons where Yasue is located. Also, Trader Joe's is just across the street. Get a $2 validation from the Phoenix salon suites (do check your ticket in the machine when you return to the parking lot to make sure there are no extra charges) or pop into TJ's - shop- and get a 1 hour validation - Don't get both validations on your ticket, the exit machine goes bonkers and won't recognize either validation. read more

I don't normally do a lot of reviews on Yelp, unless I feel the person or business deserves a 5 star rating. I have been a client of Yasue's for 16 years. In my opinion, ytou won't find a better manicurist than Yasue, which is why I was very surprised by the two star review that Amazing Nails received, especially since all of her other reviews are five stars. First off, Amazing Nails has only been in business for 3 1/2 years not 10 years. She has been a manicurist for 25 years now, which is why this two star review made me question what was being said, since it seems that 10 years was a random number the person picked. Anyone that knows Yasue and has gone to her will tell you she is a perfectionist. She is extremely particular in the way she does your nails. There is no way Yasue would shape nails differently and at different lengths, let alone not clean the cuticles. Yasue is dedicated and takes such pride in her work, which is why her manicures and pedicures last. There are times when I can't go to Yasue for a manicure and I can honestly say with some other manicurists, the polish does not last as long. With that being said, Yasue is the only person I have gone to for the past 16 years for my pedicures. Plus, her foot massages are to die for. I am extremely picky with the people I go to and when I find someone incredible, I stick with them no matter what location they move to. In addition, I only need to go every 4-5 weeks for a pedicure because they last that long. Also, Yasue has a true talent with the artwork she does. I am always getting complimented on the artwork on my pedicures.
