It was my first time here today and I'm obsessed with my nails! It was my first time getting a Russian manicure and definitely not my last! My Russian mani looks so clean and I love the shape. My experience was wonderful from start to finish! I'm very picky with my nails and I must say I'm a happy camper. I also loved the fact the my appt was not long and the quality work was phenomenal! Also the prices were very reasonable for me. I have attached a picture here so be your own judge. Also the receptionist was really nice and helpful, even gave me a free hand lotion and lip balm as a one time courtesy. The girl on the phone when I scheduled was really nice too. I had an EMERGENCY nail appointment as my nail broke and my usual stylist was booked full. Originally, the front desk quoted that I could only get a single color because they didn't do designs. A little devastating, but it is what it is. My manicurist finished the base color and I got ready to leave. But... there's more. She said she'd try to fix my nail as best she can (god bless). She took a long hard look at my nails and redid my original design!!! I've never been so excited for a nail fix, and she DELIVERED Her initial application and removal was the most efficient I've ever seen (faster than the Asian salons ). I'm so grateful that they went above and beyond for this service. The space was very clean and airy; overall super welcoming atmosphere, even offering a drink (even though it was just a nail fix). Worst experience ever. The front desk staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Even though I arrived 10 minutes late, the way I was treated was completely unacceptable. She stared at me disrespectfully, refused to let me get my manicure, and even told the technician in Russian not to continue with my pedicure. I asked to speak with the manager because customer service, respect, and professionalism should always come first. I have been coming here for years, but after this experience, I will not return. The nail techs here are SUPREME. So talented and able to do any and all designs. Russian manicure is BEYOND. More expensive than a regular manicure but it lasts longer and looks so so so good. I'm addicted to this nail shop! I've had my nails done by Bella and Yanna and they always come out perfect. I get the gel manicure ($65+) and regular pedicure (~$50+) and it lasts 3 weeks minimum, with my nails only starting to show that they've grown out around week 2. My nails not only come out perfect but they also are able to complete my manicure and pedicure, at the same time, within an hour which is incredible timing. The shop is simple and clean with a very tranquil environment that makes me excited to come in each time, and the staff is caring, friendly and meticulous providing such quality services. read more

Had gel x removal and regular polish manicure. Unfortunately they over-file and polish your nail bed with their machine. My nails have not been this damaged in a while. Came to this nail salon bc my regular place had no openings and needed to remove my gel x nails due to work. My nails are so thin they bend and hurt. Oh I'm extremely OBSESSED. Dude I've never in my life had a manicure done so perfectly. I got them done last night and I'm still speechless every time I look at my hands so I had to write a review! The lady was VERY meticulous and I really appreciated that. I got a gel x manicure. Very very happy with them! I've been doing my gel x at home since May 2021 but decided to try the professional route and I'm pleased! It was my first time at Avra, I live 2 min away from this shop but never stopped by because I go to another shop on Westwood blvd (for pedicures only). I was falsely excited to see that there was a nail salon near me open past 6 PM on a weeknight. I made an appointment and upon arrival there was one employee doing one customer's nails. The doors were locked, and they just both shook their head at me multiple times through the glass and did not speak to me. Why was I was allowed to make an appointment and then to show up at 7:30 and be turned away when their hours say they close at nine? I usually go to a salon near my house in Woodland Hills, but decided to go to a different salon since I was in the area and I'm so greatful that I did. I got a soak off for gel-x + gel mani and soak off for pedi + gel pedi. The technicians were sooo good, their tools were well kept and in good working condition (my normal salon has such dull bits!) and the technicians were so understanding with my sentence nail beds. DO NOT GO HERE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I went to this salon just two weeks ago for a new set, and it was done so badly -- air bubbles, lifting, things getting caught in my hair -- after just one week! I was on vacation and couldn't come in to fix it, so I had to suffer the whole trip with these horrible nails. When I finally returned, they told me they had to remove everything because it was so bad -- and THEN they tried to charge me $20 extra PLUS more for a new gel-x set! I calmly and nicely asked them to waive the fee since it was THEIR OWN WORK. I even said I had sent my mom and friend to them before. And then... Jacqueline my original tech hears me asking and gets up and says: "You know what? I'm not doing your nails." She literally just walked off! She REMOVED the color and left my nails half-done air bubbles showing, no polish, nothing fixed. I was going on a DATE that night and had no time left to fix them elsewhere. I was left humiliated with ugly, unfinished nails. AND -- they were talking in Russian, clearly insulting me. I even used ChatGPT to translate what they were saying. It was so rude and disrespectful. Nice salon with an easy location to get to. Was easy to make an appointment but was misled with pricing over the phone. Manicure was ok. Pedi was extremely painful mind you I've been getting russian mani and pedi past yr but I think it has to do with the drills they use. The ladies that work there kept getting cut from the drills and having to change gloves. Even another lady sitting in front of me kept stopping them every second saying she was being burnt from the drill. For a 200 gel mani and pedi I would def not come back. My nails were not even. Techs were kind but extremely overpriced for the service and quality work. I even asked for the yelp discount and front lady who I assume might be the owner kept saying she would honor it for the next service bc she knew I wasn't coming back!
