When I asked why they cut them so short, they told me, "It looks cleaner this way." After that, she put extensions on them or whatever . On top of that, nobody there treats you kindly. The atmosphere makes you feel like you're not even a customer. While I was sitting there, after I expressed that I was unhappy with how my nails were done, after everything she started talking about me and telling the story to her coworkers in front of me but i can understand their language. I texted the number (per the outgoing voice message) and was so lucky to get a same day appointment with Natalie. I am still completely blown away at what an amazing job Natalie did. I have very VERY dry cuticles and hands and I have never had nice natural nails. Natalie had her work cut out for her and my entire experience with her has made this the best manicure I have ever had. I kid you not, every time I've had a regular manicure, the polish chipped the same day and my cuticle ended up looking scraggly within a week. This was not the case with Natalie. She is clearly an expert at her craft (and p.s. she only does regular manicures). In addition to taking such meticulous care of my cuticles and nails, Natalie was extremely knowledgeable and taught me how to take care of my nails and what to look for in a good manicurist. From the moment I sat down, I felt that she was rude, dismissive, and rushing through my appointment. The salon looks beautiful and clean from the outside, but I was very disappointed by the cleanliness of the actual service. I'm pregnant and simply asked if I could move the little hand rest/step to make myself more comfortable. Instead of saying something like, "Of course, whatever makes you comfortable," she responded with "Why?" That immediately set the tone for the entire appointment. I specifically asked for my thumbs to be shaped round, and she did not listen. After she finished cleaning and prepping my nails for polish, I could still see a lot of skin and cuticle around my nails. I actually had to point it out and ask her to go back and clean them properly. I brought my own Dazzle Dry polish. When she couldn't open the base coat, she handed it to me and asked me to open it rather than asking one of her coworkers for help. I suggested putting it in hot water, which she did after I said something, and it opened. She also did not clean my nails with alcohol before applying the polish until I specifically asked her to. There was dried polish around the bottle that was causing it to stick, so I asked if she could please clean around it. Her response was, "I can't do it. This is your polish, right?" I honestly don't understand what the polish belonging to me has to do with simply wiping dried product off a bottle. What bothered me most was the complete lack of customer service. I felt ignored, rushed, and uncomfortable throughout the appointment. I even told her directly that I felt she was being very rude. This salon is also more expensive than many other nail salons in the area. If you are going to charge premium prices, customers should at least receive premium service, cleanliness, attention to detail, and basic courtesy. Unfortunately, I experienced none of those things here. I will not be returning, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon.
