If I had 0 star, that's what I would give this service. I used them multiple times and it's a hit or miss... Some of the crew members that clean do a great job, while others suck. The worst part is that the owner herself provides the worst service and is extremely arrogant. They cleaned my house just few days ago and I came home to a bad smelling home... They used dirty cloths to wipe surfaces, I could smell the odor all over the house. The marble tops on the sinks were also still dirty. The wooden floor was also dirty. Everything was done half heartedly... I reached out to the owner to politely complain and she sent me a nasty response, few of her words are below: "Ok hire a new service , I was there and the job was done" "We move all rugs and mop the door as requested and move your sofa to pick up all toys and clean all need to be cleaned" "You know your son is all over the place playing and make it mess again" Very rude. My house is built in 2015, it's a new construction and doesn't require hard scrubbing or anything. My son is 4 & extremely clean and well behaved kid. We are new to our area and with no good word-of-mouth recommendations, we have looked to LivingSocial.com and Groupon.com deals to try various house cleaning services. My wife and I both work long days and she has a 100 mile per day commute, so sometimes a once a month house cleaning is a big help. Anyway, until now, this has been a good way to try different cleaning companies for our area. My wife booked for this morning at 7 a.m. which meant that I had to stay home and be late for work to let them in the house. 7 a.m. came and went. I figured that because we live in a new development, maybe they were having a hard time finding us. 7:20, 7:25.... I figured that I better call to see where they were and when I could expect them to be there. Instead of a professional, "Oneyda Cleaning, how may I help you?", I received an annoyed "Hello?!". The conversation went downhill fast from there. Although I had difficulty understanding her due to a lousy cell phone on her end, I was able to determine that they were not, indeed, coming at all. (Later, she told my wife that someone's aunt had died, yadda yadda yadda.) Now, I am far from a heartless person and I hardly ever complain about any services, instead preferring to give a company a chance to make things right. If you could have been bothered to CALL ME to tell me that you are sorry, but someone's aunt has passed away and the company must reschedule, I would have been a lot less likely to leave a complaint on Yelp. Sure, I would be disappointed with the inconvenience, but I'd understand. Instead, they did the exact opposite of what I'd call good customer service, didn't bother to call and explain, and then treated me and my wife rudely. You get what you deserve and I hope this warning makes it very clear to others who might be considering using their "service" that they are looking for disappointment and headache instead of a clean house. We have some very important company coming to our home tomorrow afternoon, so now we are left scrambling to find someone reliable who will do what they say they will do. We have used them twice -- first time the result was pretty ok, so we decided to try again. Well, there won't be a third time. I send the owner messages about this and she did not even bother to return any of them. I should have check yelp reviews... So here are more details as Dan requested: There is a list on their website of things they are supposed to do. The fisrt time most of the things were more or less done. DO NOT USE! VERY RUDE AND NASTY. I made my appointment two weeks early. Their person told me they would be at my house between 10 and 11. On the day, they called me at 9:15 to let me know they were sitting in front of my house but no one was answering the door. I told them that was because my appt. was between 10 and 11 but I could try to be home in 20 minutes. Twenty minutes later, they called and said they were leaving as I was about three minutes from my house. I called back to let them know I would be there shortly. No one answered. I called four times! When they finally called me back, they told me they left since I wasn't there in 20 minutes like I said. I explained to the person that my original appt. was for 10:00 (during the conversation it was 9:53) and since it was not 10:00 yet, I didn't understand how they could leave. The person was very nasty and told me I should have been there in 20 minutes like I said. I asked her if she realized my appt time was 10:00 she said she did but since I wasn't home in 20 minutes they left. I had a 7:30 appointment this morning, and after waiting an hour, I called to find out if they were on their way. The call went to voicemail (with no voicemail message...strange for a BUSINESS). I have never been compelled to leave a review for anything before, but I feel that it is my duty to warn people away from this company. Communication was absolutely terrible. They didn't show up at all for the first appointment and she blamed us for her not showing up despite the fact that I had an email confirming our original appointment. Then she didn't answer for literally DAYS to reschedule. Each email I sent had to followed up several times and then I would finally get a TERSE answer. On the day of the appointment, they came at 1:30pm (we had given up) when they were supposed to be here between 10 and 11am. They did not call or email to say they were late. House was barely cleaned. Didn't mop hard surfaces. Didn't sweep very well. Threw away almost every dog toy on the floor (what does the dog care that her toys are in tatters?) They don't speak a lick of English. They stole something worth $40 and when we called to complain it took them over 2 months to come and repay the $40. Stay far away! I have been using Oneyda for about a year now. Overall, I am very pleased with the service considering what I am paying. They are not perfect; I usually find something they missed and they seem to have an issue with moving things on the floor to clean properly. They tend to clean around things. However, they are very cheap compared to other services. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for", so if I ever wanted it completely perfect every time I would go elsewhere. But they serve our needs quite well. I have had some communication issues before, and I'm sorry for all the reviewers who really had it bad, but we haven't. read more

The worst and racist owner I've ever encountered! First of all, I called to ask if they clean in my area because I saw A cleaning vehicle similar to the company's previously at my neighbors. When I called the person said yes go ahead and purchase the coupon. I set up a date for the cleaning crew to come out. It was all set as I couldn't wait for the new cleaning crew to come. I was told that because of the radius location they would have to arrive between 7 and 7:30 in the morning. As I had already purchased the coupon I was eager for them to show up even if it would inconvenience my family at such an early time. On the arrival day they came between 7:00 and 7:30 am. Secondly, the owner told me that she could not except the coupon because I was not within the radius of The coupon. She insisted though that I could get my money back from the coupon which I did. Ask such I had to pay her and a check the full amount to clean my home. She and the other ladies began to clean. Once I inspected the work I pointed out just a few items omitted and they were on their way check in hand. Third, my next visit three weeks later, again they had to arrive early due to the location. As such I rushed my family to get ready so that they could start their work. Once my husband was dressed he went outside of our house and saw the owner sitting in her car waiting on the cleaning crew to complete their work. My husband states they began talking and she told him that black people here (America) are lazy and do not like to work. She continue to make several racial comments. He listened to her for a couple of minutes. He even talked about contracts and larger jobs. Then and left for work. Once my husband arrived home and told me all that was said in the driveway, we immediately knew we could no longer give our business to Oneyda cleaning crew because the owner is racist. I thought they had done a good job at cleaning my home but once I chose another company I realized their cleaning crew was mediocre. I excepted the cleaning crew to come early and the mediocre work they did to give this company a chance but I do not have to patronize people who are racist and do awful work. I am giving 1 star only b/c I have to at least give 1 star to complete review! I scheduled the appointment for 1pm yet at 11:30 ; 3 workers arrived with no notice and I was not prepared for them to be there at 11am but I need the house cleaned so we left. No one spoke English and was unable to communicate but i was able to call a friend who was able to translate. We were told to come back in an hour. I have had other companies come and no one has ever only taken an hour so I left the house leery it would be clean in an hour. We came back and hour later to the cleaners in the car waiting on us. One kept pointing to her watch as if they were late being somewhere else. Upon walking in the house, it smelled great so I tipped each lady and they left. Once they left and I was able to walk around I noticed very little was cleaned.The voucher stated "whole house cleaning up to 3,000 sg ft." to me it does not say 3 people cleaning for 1 hour, to me that means a clean house!! Before purchasing, I looked on the website to see what was included and more than half was not done. As for the bedrooms and bathrooms, I had already removed all bedding, curtains and towels so no beds needed to be made. I was hoping with most stuff already removed, cleaning would be easier but I guess not! However, NO pictures and frames were not touched throughout entire house. Ceiling fan ad vents were not cleaned in any room. Bathrooms, tiles in bath were not cleaned from shoulder length up! Nothing that was left on counter was cleaned or wiped. Mirrors were not cleaned. Cabinets were not wiped nor was the baseboards completely cleaned. In the kitchen: refrigerator was not touched at all! I had removed everything from on top as well as the magnets and it was not even wiped down. Stove looked as if it was wiped only not cleaned. Lamps nor vents were dusted. Cobwebs still in corner! STAY AWAY PEOPLE!! I scheduled for 1pm but they told me they are showing up at 12pm regardless of what I had going on. They totally rushed through our entire home. We have a 2700 Sq Ft townhouse that three of them finished in just over an hour! They missed several areas that needed dusting and also left several spots where they had tried to clean but missed because they were clearly rushing through. This is normally a $200 job?! The fact that is was $88 is still upsetting but what makes it worse is that they actually have the nerve to ask you to tip based off the "normal price". They were three Hispanic ladies who didn't speak a word of English and the language barrier was an issue when it came to payment. The main lady was trying to ask for $100 until I had to login to the site to show her $88. They only had one day available in Dec and had said "their regular customers have taken all of the days." So we felt like they rushed through and did a mediocre job because we wasn't a "regular"...very disappointed and will never use them again. We purchased a cleaning service through groupon. After missing our appointment, the owner refused to reschedule our service. She stated that we needed to get our money back through Groupon, as she did not want to lose any money because she only made it half as much as she normally does by going to Groupon. She was very unreasonable, and sarcastic. Overall I would never do business with this person. When I ask for a confirmation email stating that she missed the appointment, she would not give me one, and said I needed to fight with Groupon to get my money back. First of all this business is a joke. I usually check reviews before buying most things but this time I didn't. They provides not only the WORST customer experience I ever have but also their cleaning work is 1/2 ass. I have appointment for a house cleaning at 10 am and have text to prove it. One hour later no one shows or call, so I called the owner. The called went into voicemail with no return phone call. Two more hours passed by no call no show. At this point I called Living Social to get a refund. I texted the owner again saying that what I did then I got a respond. Then I got a phone call from my boyfriend that the maids have arrived 3 hours later. I needed the house clean and they showed up so I called Living Social back to have the cancelation reversed which they did. Then I got a phone call from my boyfriend that the owner had called to maid to leave since I cancelled the voucher, he told her that I called Social to had it reversed because I would never not pay for a service. Then the owner had an attitude and tell him that if she doesn't get the voucher by Monday we will have to pay for it. Once I heard that I was really upset so I called her myself. She proceeded to tell me that I "complained too much" and she doesn't have the time to talk to two people and that she needs to get the voucher by Monday or otherwise we have to pay. She also continued to say that she is doing me a favor by scheduling me on the weekend since she doesn't typically do it with new client. No lady, you gave me your availability. The maids were done with 2,500 sq ft home in 1 hour. Amazingly clean??? I'm afraid not, yes they vacuum the carpet/couch and mop the floor. The bathrooms were not clean, they didn't even move the soap or shampoo bottle to clean the surface. Mirrors still have residue, didn't dust the TVs, and crumbs are still on the kitchen counter top. I should have stuck to my first respond and cancel it completely. No lady, you should not even have a business if you are 1) unable to promise your advertisement and schedule. 2) unable to communicate with client if your maids will be three hours late. 3) unable to acknowledge fault and try to threaten and blame the client for scheduling a Saturday clean. SO DISAPPOINTED! Rude and unreasonable! I had used Oneyda cleaning services twice previous to this last time. I had great experiences with their cleaning and originally found them through a promo from Angie's list last year. However by the third time you become low on the totem pole of priority and could care less if you are a customer or not. The consistent problem with them was their unpunctuality. The first time they came they were an hour late because they were lost finding my house, but I understood. The second time they were again, half and hour late. By the third time, I made an appointment for 10 and asked them politely to be on time. The day they were to come, it snowed that morning and I received a cancellation email. I had to chase after them with a text and email to get reconfirmation that they would return the next day at the same time. The following day when they were supposed to come, I waited from 10-11am and no sign of them. I got a call at 11 asking if the cleaning crew had arrived. I explained that they hadn't and that they were already an hour late. I got an immediate defensive response explaining that they were in fact not late and that they keep an hour window. I told them that was not explained to me and that a reasonable window is 1/2, not an hour. I asked then why have an appointment at 10 if they might come at 11? She then said she allots 3 hours per house from travel time to cleaning. I told her that I had to leave for work at 12:30 so would that leave enough time for them to clean? She said probably not! The owner told me that She would make a call to the cleaning crew to find out their ETA and call me back. I waited till 11:20 and called back only to get a voicemail so I left a message expressing that I would either need to cancel or postpone since there would not be enough time for me to wait till their arrival. She called back a few minutes later expressing that they would most likely get to me by 11:45, almost 2 hours past the time they said they would be there!! 45 minutes past their "window". I explained that unfortunately I couldn't wait anymore and had to get ready for work. Rather than an apology or proper explanation, I was told that "there is a long waiting list for people waiting to get their houses cleaned". I thanked her and hung up. I couldn't believe that rather than rectifying the matter they were so easily willing to drop a customer, who had been waiting for 2 hours!! COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Would rate it negative stars if possible I purchased a living social voucher for a cleaning for $99, reg. price is $125 so not much of a savings. I contacted them the same day I bought the voucher and the lady that answered the office phone was polite and scheduled my appointment for Sept. 17. Three days later I needed to reschedule and called the office, I left a message. The next day I called the cell phone listed on the website and left a message. Third day I called both numbers and left messages saying I needed to reschedule my cleaning. I never received a call back. The 4th day I call the cell phone number and a lady answers, "hello?" I explain that I've left several messages and say I need to reschedule my appointment. She tells me that her office person quit and she is overwhelmed with "thousands" of calls and upset people (guess that should've been a sign). She schedules me for Sept. 25. Today I receive a call from the same cell phone number asking me why I'm not at my house for my cleaning? I let the lady know that my appointment was scheduled for Sept 25, she tells me she doesn't have that on her schedule. I tell her the issues I've been having and she tells me she doesn't know but she can't do my appointment on the 25th and did I get the name of the person I spoke to. I said no I didn't but that I called the cell phone number she was calling me on. I then tell her that the customer service has not been the best and I'm not sure why I have to ask the person's name that is scheduling my appointment. She then begins to yell at me that she is the owner and has been in business for 10 years, she asked me if I wanted to teach her how to run a business or pay for her to take classes on running a business. I was shocked at this woman yelling at me the way that she was. There was never an apology or any offer to try and figure the mistake out. I hung up and contacted living social for a refund. I then read the other reviews on here similar to mine, wish I had done that before wasting my time with this company. Had a very unfortunate experience with this service that I had previously used on a regular basis. I had a few problems with the crew arriving very late or having to re-schedule at the last minute. The final straw was the crew not arriving at all, on an important cleaning appointment that I had scheduled well in advance. After each call to check on the arrival (I was told "they are running a little late") I got a call that they were just not going to show. I said this was a real problem and couldn't use them if I couldn't count on them, especially as I had stayed home all day to wait for them. This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a cleaning service. I communicated over and over and it took days to hear back and the response was "I have another day job and don't really check email". I had to reschedule two days prior and asked for a new date and finally after MANY emails got a reschedule for 1 1/2 weeks later @ 8am. I thought this was odd since they had so many days/times available. I received an email @ 7am this morning noting they had an 11am opening and I responded immediately saying that worked great and provided my home and cell numbers again for the 6/7th time to please call if they were running late. No one EVER came and I sent an email noting I needed to hear back by noon tomorrow or I would report them to Living Social and the Better Business Bureau. Her response was "ok. please do all complains, the crew was at your place today not one open the door, I don't want to hear from you again you cancel last minute and now is our problem, get your refund in LS" WOW!! Really. This was a total lie since my husband ending taking off the WHOLE DAY and they had our home and cell numbers but NO ONE ever called. On top of it all, she lied and then had a horrible attitude with me after all this. This business is a sham and should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. She seemed unable to communicate clearly as I tried to explain many times that I did not cancel my appointment - she just kept telling me that I canceled and that is why they did not show up. She then proceeded to imply that I was "a liar" about canceling and started to brag about how they clean hundreds and hundreds of houses each week. As if it was no big deal that my appointment got lost in the scheme of things. She continued to make excuses and never offered to rectify the situation in any way. I had to ask several times how she would fix it before she offered a new appointment - all the while she maintained a very rude attitude. I can't believe this woman is an owner of a business. I finally said I wanted my money back and because I had a voucher she basically told me (in so many words), 'good luck with that'. I've never written a bad review in my life. I have hired them now three times. Let me explain, the ONLY reason why I hired them was because they are the cheapest cleaning service out there, and we are not made out of money. Price wise you cannot complain. However, if you expect your house to be really clean - don't bother. I'm a REALLY laid back person and I don't mind re-sweeping or going over something that hasn't been done properly, or even helping them clean my house; which I have done every time (knowing they would not do a good job). They might be really late, or not show up at all. This is what happened to me. The last time I hired them I had a party scheduled for Saturday afternoon. On Friday they called me to reschedule for the following week. I made that appointment well in advance. I told them I could not reschedule it. They told me they will come Saturday regardless. I had a weird feeling they might not show up after all. And I was right. I read many, many dismal reviews on them on Angies List. Saturday morning (they were supposed to come clean at 9:00) I started to clean myself, I knew they would not show up. At 12:00 I start calling them, and I stopped calling them at 16:00. If they were running late, it is usually not a big deal to me, as long as they show up. Nobody answered the phones. I left 6-8 messages on both phone lines. No one, to this day, has called back. This was 6 weeks ago. All the people that leave wonderful reviews, I don't get them. I am really suspicious now. Oneyda might have someone that writes good reviews for them to keep their business up. The only reason why they are still in business is because they are super-cheap. If I had money I would go with the professionals.
