Went into the store on a Wednesday to have a shirt shipped to NYC by Sunday. Paid 20$ for the shirt and then 30$ to ship it and it didn't get to the location on time. They blamed the delivery service for not specifying an exact address, even though I was physically in the store telling them the address (talked to Cailey Wagner) and there wasn't any issues brought up to me at all in person. The shirt never made it, I paid 30$ to ship, I emailed them explaining paying that much for a delivery that never happened is ridiculous. They NEVER CONTACTED ME BACK TO THIS DAY ITS BEEN ALMOST 7 MONTHS, literally not even an apology or any type of resolution or even acknowledgement, they just didn't respond...Never buying another shirt from them again, especially if you have to ship. read more

Re: One hour Tee's, This company has provided a great service to our special event. Ryan Barkan has been a pleasure to deal with and his staff, friendly. I provided my own art so I can not comment on the on-site artists, (I'm a designer) But the shirts looked fantastic. They were done quickly and done very well. And worked with our charity's budget (Masonic Children's Home charity). The full color digital images have turned out so well. And loved the samples, and looked great in the photo shoot for the pre show promotional materials. In short, you have an event, team outing, or just any occasion that a custom shirt will work for. You will be hard pressed to find better. And I'm an ex Billabong surfwear designer from Australia. The results I've seen, rival far more expensive 4 color process prints from screen printing firms. I had a semi-complicated order for bacherlorette party tanks. All of them are different in different sizes, and I needed one of a different color. I don't trust Etsy for things that I need on a certain date because I feel like their shipping is a mess. So I did some research and came across One Hour Tees. Born and raised in Chicago, but this is my first experience with OHT. I went online and submitted an quote request and got an email the next day that someone would be handling my order. Then I got an email saying someone else would be handling it. Then I got an email from Jared (quote master) and he asked some questions. He figured out exactly what I needed, and recommended the American Apparel Unisex Tanks, which were perfect. I then had to submit my order again, and got an email saying Brittany would be handling it. Then I got an email from someone else asking for payment. I had a few questions throughout the process so I would literally email all four people who I had contact with because I never knew who my account manager or sales rep really was. I also asked for a proof before they were printed. The proof never happened. Next thing, I got an email within five days that my order was ready for pick up. I was so excited I got to the store three hours later. I was so nervous because I didn't know who was making these tanks or what they looked like since I never got a proof or picture or anything. I opened the box, and they are PERFECT! I'm so happy with how they turned out. I never spoke to anyone on the phone, never saw a photo, never really knew who was running the show over there, but I trusted that they would do good work. Sometimes you gotta just let the pros do their job. Their customer service was timely (not organized, but timely) and the order came out perfectly and on time. Worst customer service ever. I had over 1,000 shirts printed by these people and they messed up on my orders twice. The first time I place an order of 500 plus shirts they print Child extra small instead of unisex extra small. Now the manger completely ignorant of email evidence of my orders suggested I learn how to talk to people then proceeds to put the blame on me and "oh btw it's common practice to combine separate orders." That is not common sense. That is not logical to combine two separate orders into one without the direct consent of your customer. My orders are meant for different people thus why they were placed separately. So I called them up and the Manger super defensive and not willing to acknowledge the customers point of view by talking over me and spewing out robotic rhetoric of it your fault not ours. Extremely rude to hang up on you customer. Learn better business practices. Edit: Ryan my review is NOT an exaggeration. I order small adult shirts from you guys only to get baby t-shirts. Love love love this place!!! I walked into their new location, to get out of the heat, a couple weeks ago. I figured I could jaw a bit, get a t-shirt, and be a bit cooler than when I left. Well, I got much more than a t-shirt; I met some super friendly, smart and customer friendly folk. I knew what I wanted on my Tee, and knew I could just Google image search it to find it. The gal that helped me, I believe her name was Emily, was so helpful and recommended a better color for the tee and image (single color) than I had in my mind. She even seemed genuinely interested in the meaning behind the shape that ended up on my Tee (the schematic representation of a NPN transistor). Either it was true curiosity, or superb sale(wom)manship, but either way, I would recommend this tiny little Tee shirt shop to my artsy friends. Cheers! read more

First off, I really blew it with the shirts for my future brother in-law's bachelor party. On top of all the things I had to get done, shirts were last thing on my mind. On a whim I googled "quick tees" and lo and behold one hour tees popped up. I emailed info, they quickly got back to me with a quote. To be honest, the tshirt came out fine. My review is based on the TOTAL LACK OF COMMUNICATION regarding said shirt. At every step of the way, I was promised a communication and received none. I requested a quote online, got a response clarifying my choice and I responded with a yes, that's what I want. Then... nothing. I emailed a 'what's going on, what happens next?' email and was told I had to resubmit it online. I did so and was told I'd get an email within a day with a mockup.... no email. I called and was told I'd then receive one from a specific employee... nothing. After some time I got an email saying that the tee was ready. Really? Okay... so I went (a second time because they're only open 9-5 m-f, as though their customers don't work) and the tshirt came out fine. I told the employee who handed it to me what had happened, how awful this was, that it was good I wasn't on a time crunch and they had magically read my mind about the size of the image and all that, and he really didn't give anything close to a shit about it. He said quickly, as though ushering me out the door, 'Is the shirt alright? Okay. Have a nice day.' Ugh. NEVER AGAIN. Bottom line: Terrible customer service. Seek tees elsewhere. UPDATE: It also looks like OHT is in the habit of being a jerk to anyone who writes honest negative reviews of them online. Scroll down, it's not just mine. Doubly so, I will never go back. And truth be told, I did review another tshirt shop recently because I had a great experience there. Poor service. I sent in my quote on Friday and had to call to ask about it that next Thursday. They quoted me over the phone and I said I'd call back to place the order. I called back 30 mins later and the lady told me someone else was working my quote and would get back to me when he was done. I called back an hour later and he was still unavailable. I had a great experience, or so I thought, right up until I picked up my shirts. Everyone was seemingly nice and responsive throughout the ordering process. Then when I placed my order, I was promised a Proof so I could see how my design looked on my tee color. I never received my proof, but instead received an email saying my shirts were ready....weird. When I picked up my shirts my design completely faded into the background, exactly what was the concern during my last conversation with Karima. She had promised to review the design and possibly alter the color so that it would stand out against the color of the t-shirt. Never happened. When I picked up the shirts and was dumbfounded and disappointed with the outcome, she blatantly said it was my fault and that "she does this all the time". She took absolutely zero responsibility and was extremely rude about it! She swears she sent the proof, but since I never received it, and therefore never approved anything, why did she go ahead with the printing process and not give me a phone call to verify everything before going ahead with the order? Which is how the standard printing procedure goes. I also spoke with the manager who certainly understands customer service a little better than Karima, but did little to amend the situation, besides give me a slight discount on a future order. I came here last Friday, June 28, to place my order for my Son's Bday Shirts. I dealt with a woman named EMILY. Very cold, closed off lady. No customer service skills whatsoever. You can tell she had other important things going on on her computer screen. I was having issues downloading and emailing her an image, when I asked her to come help me she didn't seem too thrilled to leave her desk. Once my image was finally downloaded and it was time to design my shirt, again, her customer service skills are not the best. I wanted to add wording to the front of my shirt, I asked if they had other fonts available, her response was "what font are you looking for". I don't know the name of fonts by memory EMILY. Instead I asked her to drop down the font box and scroll through some fonts so I can choose a font styling. When I asked about different colored shirts she said there is an extra charge if my image needs "white underlay". she never explained what that meant, and I didn't want to continue to deal with her so I just went with the basic white t-shirt. She never offered to show me different fabric shirts. Just overall made my first experience here rushed and terrible. I'll definitely tell friends to expect low customer service if they deal with an unenthusiastic employee named Emily. read more

Ordered 1 t-shirt expecting to get fast service with the next business day option. Ordered it mid-morning the day before hoping to pick up by 2:00pm the following day. Customer rep did very poor job of explaining the time frame that it would be guaranteed by until after the order was placed. Overall, for a place that is referred to as "One Hour Tees" and was unable to produce a t-shirt in the time frame allotted very disappointing. Even more disappointing is the lack of clarity they are able to provide on when the t-shirt would be ready besides "It is guaranteed by 4:30pm the following day". The same bowling team from my previous post needed more gear, so we went ahead and ordered baseball tees again. Pricing structure and ordering process was the same, the graphic looks excellent and service was quick and friendly. The biggest difference is in the garments used between the current and previous orders: The Bella & Canvas brand is a much thinner, sheerer, cheaper-feeling fabric than the Champion brand received last time. To be fair, both brands are clearly mentioned as possibilities on the company's website as available baseball tee styles, and I didn't specify one over the other in my order. Still a happy customer, and would still highly recommend OneHourTees' services -- but next time, I plan to do a bit more research into the garments and be more specific in my order. read more

Very poor customer service. I placed an order for 2 shirts on a Monday on their website for a pick up on Friday. Both orders went through according to their website. I was quoted over the phone at $12.97 per shirt plus tax. I was sent an e-mail the following day saying they couldn't meet one of our requests. I saw and responded to the e-mail on Thursday morning and followed up with a phone call. One of the orders did not go through at all apparently. They also now planned to charge me nearly double for the other order that went through because they e-mailed me with a follow up question that I didn't see right away (they base pricing on turn around time). They have my phone number right in the order, they should have followed up with a phone call if they couldn't meet one of my requests. I shouldn't be penalized for not seeing their e-mail right away. They didn't compromise even when I explained that they should be flexible on the price because a) the inconvenience of one order not going through in the first place due to their system error and b) a nearly double increase in price because they had a question and made little effort to get an answer. The woman on the phone was nice, and said this direction was coming from her boss so there is nothing she could do. I am sure business will soar with a manger like that. I canceled my order and will happily take my business elsewhere. read more

I needed to order t-shirts for a quick turnaround for a client, so I decided to give One Hour Tees a try. I ran into some issues that resulted in me never wanting to order from them again. 1.) I choose the Gildan Basic T, thinking that I couldn't get too fancy with a quick order. But they told me that they didn't have the grey or tan that I wanted and that they would have to order them. (Grey and tan? Aren't those common shirt colors?) 2.) When I received the shirts, the graphic was faded. (As if it had been through the wash a few times.) They told me there was nothing they could do about that. 3.) A week and a half after I reluctantly gave the shirts to my client, they told me that a number of them had holes along the back. It looked as if someone had taken sand paper and rubbed the shirt thin. I ordered the "Basic T", but never thought that meant that they would have holes in them. I thought that maybe it was all coincidence and bad luck, so I went in to ask about it. The guy at the front desk just stared at me, saying "I've never seen that my life". Well, it did just happen, and I was showing him! He said there was nothing he can do. So please consider this as you order from One Hour Tees -there may be nothing that they can do. _____ UPDATE: Since writing this review, the Founder and CEO contacted me to reprint the shirts, offer me a refund, or give me credit to a future order. I opted for the reprint, and received the new t-shirts in the mail in one business day which I really appreciate. read more

What a great place! I did a last minute order for a bar crawl and they were nice enough to make sure that I got exactly what I wanted. I was not aware that they were not open on weekends, so when I showed up on Saturday to pick up my order and they were closed you can understand how worried I was that I just paid hundreds of dollars for nothing. The owner Ryan was amazing! He responded to my email and facebook message and came by the store so I could get my order and make it to the bar crawl in time! Now that is customer service! I had a shirt made for my brother for Christmas. Four separate times (3 via email, one on the phone with Nikki) I asked to see a proof before they sent it and was told I would receive an email that I had to approve before they would print. I only asked AFTER they contacted me first, I never reached out to badger them. If we were in contact, I brought it up. I did not receive a proof of the design. All I received was a shipment notice because they printed and sent it before me approval. The font was not what I wanted nor asked for. I also asked to upgrade the T-shirt to a soft form fitting one. They printed it on a boxy regular low quality tee. NOT WORTH IT. I guess if I'm not ordering 20+ t-shirts they don't care. It's interesting to see the responses from the owner to poor reviews on yelp. He is attacking and hateful in his replies. He uses ad hominum as a basis for his argument rather than attacking the problem, he attacks the person. There is a way to defend yourself and your company without resorting to his measures in a professional manner. I wish I had seen these things earlier and gotten a feel for the people who work here. :-( Update: My mistake, was speaking with a woman named Nikki while typing and wrote her name down instead (oops), it was supposed to be Jerad and Karima that I spoke to about the design. I received a call from Karima looking to clarify my font issue and wanting to work things out. It seems what I had on my screen looked different/upload weird (?) so maybe that's where the disconnect was. She was very professional, I appreciated the call. She offered to reprint the shirt for me. I declined, saying my brother did not know any different (he didn't know how it was supposed to look), and if he liked it, then I would just leave it and not inconvenience anyone. She also credited a free shirt for next time, which I don't know if I could ever use because I don't want to take advantage. I still disliked the response from the owner, it comes off caustic, but I am willing to up my review from one star to three stars due to the fact that they reached out to make it right, which I appreciate. I told her I would do this which she specifically said that an improved review is not why she called, but I still wanted to do it for them anyway because she took the time to call. read more

Ordered over $200 worth of t-shirts over a 12 month period, all came out with dark black lines around the print and looked like something was just ironed on while the rest of the shirt faded. Maggie tells me that they use a "pre-treatment" and that she thinks i'm washing my shirts wrong and that's why they're coming out terrible. What? It's a black gildan t-shirt with no special washing instructions. Also, i'm 33 and know how to do laundry FFS. Never resolved the issue, ignored multiple emails, I asked to speak to the owner and never got a response besides "I talked to our head printer and he said that doesn't happen on some shirts". Well, it has, and it is, and i'm not the only one it's happened to. And they did nothing, just completely stopped replying with no closure or offer of help. Pretty sad read more
