After seeing Billboards of this business, I figured why not give this place a shot. After submitting an online order on 5/18 and choosing the 7+ day turnaround, I did not hear a response. I called the shop on the 5/26 and was told that "I was emailed" by Karima. I said ok but I checked spam etc. She said she'll email me an invoice so we can move forward to have this gift by 6/3 (which would be a 16 day turnaround from 5/18). No invoice received so I emailed back on an update then I got an invoice. I was ready to pay but was told I cannot pay online but can do it over the phone. I mentioned that I did not feel comfortable doing such and that not being able to pay online was "archaic" and that i'll pass on my order. I got a response mentioning my submission was "archaic". Based on the owners responses of other Yelp reviewers, the lack of customer service starts from the top. read more

Two Stars: One for the price and one for the idea. Beyond that, why can't you get a tee on the weekend?? The whole idea of this is to get a tee on short notice. Q: When would someone want a spur of the moment tee? A: the weekend! Essentially, you call on the weekends and they are really a 48 hour tee place, because you won't get anything until Monday (after all the fun and the tee's usefulness has past). If I have to plan ahead to get tees ready for a weekend of craziness, then I can do that anywhere. I don't need a one hour tee place. read more

If you value good customer service- stay away!!! I ordered t-shirts to have completed right before Christmas. The front office staff was nice, but extremely unprofessional (all were wearing sweatpants in the office- come on- I was dressed better to walk my dog!). I was hesitant after hearing a bad review, but I decided to try them anyways since they were in my neighborhood. Shame on me- should have listened to my friend and my gut. The communication was extremely poor. I was assured I would be called when they had a final template done for my shirt and again when they would be finished. I received neither phone call and I was unable to get ahold of them to see if the shirts were done prior to sending my friend half way across town in a blizzard to pick them up. When I wrote to complain, I got the most immature response from the owner blaming ME (the customer) for the poor communication. Although he refunded my money, he continued to act like an immature brat for his company's failure to come through. Bottom line, if you value professionalism and customer service- I would NOT do business here. And once you walk up to their obnoxious store front, I think you will realize why! read more

Ordered a couple of sweatshirts and they just came in the mail today. Overall I'm pretty happy with them, and to top it off they arrived extra early. Honestly, I'd use them again because they really have fantastic prices. If you have time to wait (6-8 days) you can get a great deal on t-shirt, etc. printing. It's not quite five stars for a couple of things. The quote that I got and the ultimate invoice I received were slightly different. Totally wasn't an amount that was a big deal, but I expect to pay what I was told it would cost in the first place. More importantly, when I placed my order I provided a link to another website where you can design your layout visually (very helpful if you can't get into the store), and it contained information detailing the dimensions of each graphic I added to the clothing. I asked them to pull the dimensions for each graphic off of there (multiple times, in fact), but ultimately they didn't get it quite right. It's not a huge deal, but one of the graphics is bigger than I wanted and takes the focus away from the logo. I suppose I should have just spelled it out for them, but I actually thought it was easier to look at it on the link. Finally, and I'm not taking stars off for this, but Ryan, the snarky responses to users who've had a not so good experience (whether their gripe is valid or not) is a MAJOR turnoff and I really strongly considered not using your company because of that. Your responses, and not their reviews, made me feel like I was really taking a risk using One Hour Tees. You have four stars, most people have had a good experience, and Yelp users can see that. I really wanted to like this place but my experience was exceptionally bad. I'm gonna try to keep this epic odyssey short: -My order was placed on April 23rd, (7 day order) I received my order on June 15th. -The mock-up they sent before making the shirt was incorrect, I spent a lot of time on the phone and by email making sure they made the mock-up correctly. The digital files I sent were made by a professional graphics artist and my instructions were very clear. -After getting a correct mock-up the shirts were made and sent long after they claimed they would. They told me one of their machines had broken down so it was going to take a few extra days. -When the shirts arrived, the original mistake they made in the mock-up that I spent a lot of time correcting had returned AND there was a significant flaw in the print (one edge of the print was cut off and had a white line running down this hard edge. Very ugly and unusable). -I generally had a LOT of difficulty moving forward with them. If I called and the original person was not there, whomever I spoke with had little idea about my order or what was going on. -They apologized for the mistake and told me they would send out another set with both mistakes corrected. Since this was time sensitive and I needed the shirts a few days ago, I requested they accelerate the process as much as possible. They told me they were going to put me at the back of the line and that it would take a week or two. -The correct shirts never arrived. When I emailed them they said the shirts were going to be mailed out next day and arrive one day later. 5 days later when they didn't arrive I called them and they had no information about my order. They told me to resend the digital files and they would reprocess my order again from scratch. I did my BEST to remain polite. I sent the files again along with the 25 emails I sent back and forth already explaining all that happened and all that went wrong. -Supposedly the person I was originally dealing with got fired but the two other people I dealt with after weren't much better. -Up to this point no refund of any kind has been offered. -I finally spoke with "a manager" who says she will make the shirt tomorrow and send them out right away. I live in Chicago so it would be 1 day shipping. She also gave me a full refund for the shirts but not the shipping. I told her to PLEASE email me when the shipment goes out and to include a tracking number because I have no trust anymore. She did not email me and she did not send a tracking number. The shirts eventually arrived 7 days later. She said it would take 2-3 days. I'm leaving out other mistakes they made because this is so long. In the end, I finally got my shirts and they look good. Everyone I dealt with there made a mistake or a series of mistakes. I always had to contact them, they never reached out to me. I had to explain everything to every person I talked to because their access to information there is inefficient to say the least. Absolute nightmare. I will not be going back. I will never recommend. (06/25/15) ***UPDATE*** Ryan the owner reached out to me regarding my review. He asked me if there was anything he could do get me to increase my star rating or remove my review and offered me free T-shirts or anything else that would make me happy. He also said that 2 employees were let go because of mistakes on my order and other orders so it seems he is putting some effort into resolving the quality of service issues I had. So I have adjusted my review from 1 star to 2 "Meh. I've experienced Better" for his efforts. I'm actually surprised he didn't leave a snarky response on my review like he has in the past to others... I did choose to refuse any free T-shirts or other compensation. I'm ready to move on with my life here. (06/25/15) ***UPDATE AGAIN*** I spoke too soon. I gave him the benefit of the doubt with the 2 star thing, then he wrote me a snarky little message, so I have to take it back down to 1 star. This guy is review obsessed! Mediocre service, poor selection, and bad website are the 3 takeaways here. My rep Jerad seemed totally disinterested throughout the quoting process. Basically felt like I was trying to negotiate with The Dude - giving the impression that my business wasn't important. And the fact that true "one-hour" printing possibilities were very slim only made the experience worse. Kinda felt like a slimy car dealership ploy where one single car is advertised at $9,999 but once you get there you find out the steering wheel is extra. Such a shame! I had high hopes (their billboard adverts are enticing and led me to think they were energetic and cool). After I received quote, NOT ONE attempt at follow up. Rude, incompetent employees. We've used them several times and if I had a better local place that didn't require a minimum order, I would. They have screwed up our orders several times, despite a million email questions that I thought (and have confirmed by co-workers) were very clearly answered. The order form is not sufficient if you're ordering multiple items, and apparently is confusing your employees. I've worked with two different employees now with the same results. Despite the screw ups, no discount or offer to replace anything. Once, because I signed a disclaimer saying I wouldn't hold them responsible if they damaged a specialty item I brought in, they wouldn't do anything to make up for blatantly *not following instructions* on these items (ie, they were only supposed to have a logo on the front, but they also printed a large one on the back, which is super tacky for this particular professional garment). Also, why bother asking which way I prefer to be contacted on the order form if you're going to email me no matter what? read more

I had some custom tees made for my best friend's bachelorette party. I have to admit based on previous experience with other t-shirt and custom printing businesses I was somewhat skeptical but One Hour Tees really blew me away. The staff was talented, attentive, and professional! I did not come prepared with graphics or a design but had a concept in mind. They were able to take my concept and turn it into something awesome! Let me preface by saying I haven't gotten my shirts yet, this is a customer service review only....but I'm confident my shirts will be great! Karima is awesome! She was amazing at interpreting my sort of obtuse visions for the two shirts I ordered, and was ultra-fast and really pleasant. She worked with my graphics and helped me select fonts that enhanced the overall design of the shirts, and was very knowledgeable and cool. She turned my opinion about One Hour Tees completely around, and she is model employee material. Go Karima! That being said, my opinion about One Hour Tees prior to meeting Karima was kind of blah, solely based on the owner's (Ryan B.) rebuttals of negative Yelp reviews. To this I have to say, Ryan B., your business model is awesome, your employees seem to be also awesome, you are obviously successful, and most people seem satisfied with their experience at One Hour Tees. You don't need to respond to the few haters--only makes you look weirdly petty. The best thing to do is ignore it, brush yo' shoulders off, and keep on doing what you do well. I wouldn't go back again nor recommending them to clients. Yes, the tees were delivered on time hence the 1 star for meeting the deadline ... but the quality was poor. I have a graphic arts degree so I know the design I submitted was good quality--I only say that because I've seen other comments from OHT saying the client should have used their design services for a better result. I have worked with other companies (Spreadshirt, Redbubble, etc.) and understand that there are variations/variables when printing to fabric but the tee didn't match the proof I approved and the design on most of the tees was off-center, tilted/on an angle and faded. No real resolution either for the rep after he asked for a pic of the issue so overall just very disappointing! read more

Back again and happy again. OHT saved me this week. Long story short, the HR department decided to try and save a buck when they ordered shirts for an upcoming event. Needless to say, the shirts arrived and they were garbage. Too awful to use. I immediately contacted OHT on Friday, picked up my shirts on Monday and the event on Tuesday has been saved. The new shirts look fantastic and the owner Ryan even greeted me as I picked up my order. Never again will I allow my company to go anywhere else. read more

More often than not, quick and inexpensive means that you'll have to sacrifice some quality. However, this is NOT the case with One Hour Tees. I've had them do two projects for me and I couldn't have been more pleased. I did shirts for a bar crawl and shirts for a surpise party - 10 different designs and they even shipped them to Michigan for under $10. One-color shirts in one hour - $19.99. No minimum order. That's the truth. If you order more than 5 days ahead, you can get full-color shirts for $5.99. Seriously! You have to chose from a limited selection of light colored shirts, but there are tons of options. Slight drawback - the store is only open until 6 p.m. and is not open on weekends. However, Ryan is very responsive to E-mail and phone calls. Love this place! read more

I ordered shirts for our JDRF Walk this Sunday. They were supposed to be ready at 3 PM, I came at 3:30 just to be sure and they weren't done yet. So then I hung out in the area till 4 pm, taking a stroll along Clybourn all the way to Diversey and then to the Chicago River and back. Came back at 4 and they're still working on the shirts. Now they needed maybe another 45 minutes or so to finish. Ryan, one of the managers, told me he could deliver the shirts for me at night to make sure I got them. Sure enough, he came by to my house around 9 PM with a box in hand and delivered the goods... He took off and everything seemed OK. After I carefully reviewed my order, the 7 XL shirts I ordered were not included in the box! Aaarggh! And now it's about 9:30 PM Friday! What am I gonna do?! So I call Ryan back. He's already back at the shop. He said he would look for them. He calls me a short time later and reports that he found them. So back again he came with the rest of the shirts this time. It was about 10:15 when I received the missing shirts. What can I say except his customer service was extraordinary. He probably gave up a fun-filled Friday night to make sure my order was filled correctly. If there's a purple heart or bronze star given for valor in customer service and good business practices, Ryan deserves it. What was wrong he made right and delivered when it mattered to us most. That's all I can ask of anyone who does something for me. I'll be back when I need shirts next time. One Hour Tees is awesome! read more

Cool staff, quality products, fair pricing scale They work with you to make sure you don't hate what you get back. After spending the time to get the print sizing down to the fraction of an inch and perfectly centered on the first visit - I'm in and out to re-order in seconds sometimes. They even email when it's ready to grab. I would take my business anywhere else if I found better pricing with friendly staff - hasn't happened. I really have to say thank you to the staff of one hour tees on the quick turn around for my emergency t shirt I originally ordered from a company on line out of town and did this a few weeks back. I thought I would be ok but when the order was never processed I was in a big jam. I found one hour tees online and put in my order I followed up to make sure they got my order in and they did. I went in to pick up my order and the staff was friendly and polite. My order was amazing and I'm glad that I have it for the weekend. I highly recommend this business to everyone. I think part of the reason that I love this store so much is because it is family owned, and I love supporting America's small businesses. The other reason I love this store is I waited waaaaay too long to get a t-shirt order together for a bar crawl that I planned, and they seriously saved the day. I've had sets of t-shirts made here twice now. First time went off without a hitch. This time they were screwed over by delivery of our shirts they had ordered, no doubt caused by the holiday weekend. Nonetheless, i NEEDED them for our softball game yesterday. They called to see if I could delay a day, but I couldn't. They had the shirts ready by end of day, ordering from antother company, This probably was at additional costs to themselves. I really do love a company that honors their prices/deadlines. I would do more business with them. Shirts are good quality and very inexpensive. The only drawback is that the printing isn't screen printing at this cheaper price, it's more of an ink printing, which still looks nice and won't come off, but will fade over time/washing. Have to say I was pretty skeptical about this place before placing an order, and that's mostly due to the sarcastic responses to some of the negative reviews by other Yelpers. BUT I was surprised with the quality, communications, and turnaround time. My colleague designed a quick graphic and ordered the shirt as a gift. He sent in the artwork, got a proof, approved it, paid and requested the same day turnaround (order was placed around noon). I drove by the shop at 3:30p (when they said it'd be ready), picked it up and was out in less than 2 minutes. Only negative? I wasted $0.50 cents on parking since I didn't need to pay for half an hour ;). I'll definitely order from them again. read more

I have used one hour tees to print my apparel for years. They are the only printer I know that can do minimum orders (as low as one item) for a good price. They are also able to print zipper hoodies and have the print over the zipper. It's a look that I have not found anywhere else other than one hour tees. I print with them on a weekly basis and the seldom times that there have been issues, they were quick to take accountability and come up with a solution. There are a lot of times that I order large amounts of shirts for clients and they need a few extra once the event actually happens. This is where One Hour excels because they can make the extra shirts quickly. read more

Ok. I will preface this by saying, that my ordering experience was awesome! I walked out of there yesterday SO excited I was literally coming up with reasons to order shirts for whatever I could think of! the t-shirt color and style choices are great, the book of fonts had me acting like a kid in a candy shop (I like this one, no, this one, etc), and the prices are great, particularly if you don't need a rush job like I did. And then today happened... I had ordered 4 shirts (not at all a large quantity or a big job). Each tshirt had the same words on the front, and different last names on the back with a corresponding phrase. Well, apparently they messed up. They called me and explain their error. This is where I got pissed... I essentially got told, in the most diplomatic way possible, we messed up, it's our fault, but you're sh** outta luck, nothing we can do. So, i ended up paying for something that we didn't order. But- the owner, Ryan, was very quick to contact me this evening when he learned of my issue and was as helpful as he could be in the current situation. I would boost my review to a 5 star because of Ryan's quick response and customer service. But I feel, as a customer, the staff in the shop should have been a bit more concerned with my dissatisfaction. It is ONLY for this reason that I am leaving it a four. read more

THEY SUCK! And the one Star I rate is by default so that I may post this review. HERE'S WHY: I come in as a walk-in customer because I noticed that their on-line form did not have enough fields for what I wanted. Further, I had text in Spanish which I handed over to the clerk typed IN BOLD AND CIRCLED and he still managed to misspell a word! When you go there you have to sign a 800 word waiver and pay in full even before you see your merchandise, they are already admitting that accuracy is not their thing by asking you to sign it! These shirts are for a very special event and cannot be used in their current form. I am now forced to either blackout the text or bedazzle the text out. :( Not an apology, not a call from the manager - all I got was referred back to their waiver and vendor friendly terms. Not only are they ridiculously marking up the cost of the t-shirts, the service and product sucks... They will never see another dollar from me or anyone I know. Very sad day.... read more

Shirt sizing isn't very good. Shirts only get wider but not taller as the sizes go up. For someone who's not super tall but taller than average I was expecting it to fit a little nicer. The print itself is spotty. You can see the shirt through the ink in some places. Over all I probably would not order a shirt from them again. I love MURS too and was so excited for this shirt but I'm just swimming in it so it will never get worn. $35 dollars and 2 weeks of waiting. read more

The owner is a douche bag. Rude, has no self control. Has a small man syndrome to say the least. Uses cheap materials, has clients prepay for the work done. In the end resulting horrible product for the outrageous prices. It is clear this is his first business. Basically as a client, you come in.... do all of the work yourself. The shirts are affordable and quick, but the service is really subpar. They refuse to provide you with a mock up until after you pay, which seems insane -- you can't see even an idea of what your design will look like on shirt until you've already paid. I ended up needing my design to be larger on the shirt, which meant I needed an extra $2 per shirt -- not exactly easy to go back and collect from people. Additionally, my sales rep didn't respond to emails about 80% of the time. Happy I finally got the shirt I needed, but I won't be going back and I definitely wouldn't recommend the place to a friend. read more

Wow it amazes me how many people who are giving this place negative reviews. I have ordered from this place multiple times, since I seem to always be the one handling our sports leagues. Every time I have had a great experience. I've ordered both in person and online, and I had pleasant experiences with each. When I've had designs that for whatever reason wouldn't work exactly as I brought in, they were able to change it up and make it look good. Also, I almost always get the 7-10 day service, but just about every time I've ordered they have had it done early. Most recently I had to order one new shirt for my team, since we only had one new person, but everyone else had the shirt from last year. I just ordered online, gave them my name and a description of what I had before. They easily looked it up and found it and were able to quickly get me the new shirt. I went to pick it up right as they were closing, and they gave me the wrong size. The staff stayed around to make my new shirt on the spot. Even though they had it ready like 3 days earlier than they said. Those little things keep me coming back. read more

One Hour Tees Rocks Picked up a tee for my brother last week for the holiday after seeing a jumbo billboard on 90. The shirt was a knockout. This place has a young fresh staff that actually understands the latest forms of design and how to interpret what you're looking to get done. Plus the decor looks so cool. I've been to a few print shops before and they reeked of wet dog. The staff was all over the age of 50 and the workers didn't know much about Photoshop let alone a computer. This place made ordering teeshirts so easy and fun! I'm slightly shocked by the 1star reviews and glad I came here for myself rather than going off someones opinion. Lets get real guys, some of these yelp reviews are more comical than factual. I'm not sure what else you are looking for from a teeshirt shop?
