I had heard about One Hour Tees on a podcast and knew just because of who was reviewing it on there that this was the place to go for custom shirts made in a very short time. I set about making my graphic and ordering the shirts. I made the order online on Saturday and received an invoice Monday morning. I called, gave them my payment info and apparently they were sent out that afternoon as I recieved them Tuesday night. I was so excited to get them, but when I opened the package, the shirts I got were not what I ordered. Apparently, one of my orders didn't have a graphic attached to it, so they printed all the shirts with the same graphic. I sent them an email hoping to get them before they left for the evening. About 10 minutes after I sent that email, I got one back confirming the problem. I sent them the correct graphic and the shirts were sent out the following day. The only real problem I had was with FedEx placing the package at the wrong door at my house. But as I was freaking out, trying to figure out what happened with the original shirt orders and where the corrected shirts were, Ryan answered all of my questions and was generally pretty cool about everything. Any issues I had with the order was due more to me waiting till the last minute to order these shirts than to anything that One Hour Tees did. In fact, they made the whole situation so much easier. The Company is very easy to work with. Quick responses via email thru the design process, and their prices are awesome. The end product was perfect, and delivered on time. The t shirts feel sturdy too. Only 2 things keeping me from 5 stars: can't pay online (you have to call in with your credit card #), and $8 delivery charge for 1-4 shirts; which costs more than the shirt I ordered...so I designed another shirt to spread out the cost lol. Pick up is an option , but they're in a busy trendy Chicago neighborhood so parking/traffic can be an issue if you are coming from the 'burbs. I ordered a shirt as a gift for my sister. The shirt was a great quality and I was very happy with the final result except for that the shirt was labeled a unisex M and it ended up fitting ME (I'm a size 2). I emailed the store regarding my dissatisfaction and never received follow up. After a week of no response, I called and spoke to a very rude woman who told me there was nothing they would do to correct my dissatisfaction even after their lack of response. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that they would not remake something that did not turn out as expected for their customers. Two stars for the product, but I took away the rest for customer satisfaction (or lack there of). I would have absolutely recommended this place had they handled my situation better. Definitely disappointed. ... As an update the business did reach out to me to correct the misunderstanding and I truly appreciated the effort. They did a great job and their product is of quality. I am beyond disappointed with OneHour Tees. I felt as though there were a lots of hidden fees and "up-grade" garment costs that were not clearly outlined on their website. On top of that, I wasn't notified that my order was ready until the day after the shirts were supposed to be ready, resulting in me not picking up the shirts in time for the event and or at a convenient time. When I asked if they would provide some sort of discount on the order due to not getting the "order is ready email," they refused saying that they were in fact ready at the guaranteed time, but that their "system" was a fault. I am an organizer, we purchase upto 10,000 shirts a year. I am looking for a new supplier. I called this place to see the time frame it would be to make 1 shirt, the lady said 1 hour. I drove down there and the guy at front said it would take 10 days to have 1 shirt ready. I didn't bother to ask about quotes for big orders. Don't waste your time with 1 hour tees. My business has been ordering from OHT's for the last 4-5 years consistently 9-10 orders per year. Each order is a custom design with 40-75 shirts per order. We've always been impressed with the quality of the work, and our customers always love the finished product. OHT's and particularly Karina and Ryan have taken excellent care of us, and always had impressive followthrough. We haven't always given them as much notice as I'm sure they'd like, but that never stops them from hitting our requested deadlines. In the rare case that an order is wrong (missing one youth medium, etc) they have always gotten us squared away in short order (usually same day or while I wait at pickup). Best part of that is that is it very well has been our fault when the order quantities are wrong, and no questions are ever asked or scrutinized. They just make it right. I've never even looked into other options (maybe I could find cheaper, not sure) but I'm not interested because our relationship with OHT's has been reliable and very professional. They are happy to have our business, and we appreciate the painlessness of working with them. We've also used their embroidery services for beanies and such, and I'd recommend their work for that too. Pro tip: pay extra from American Apparel or other nicer shirt brands. Totally worth it!!! read more

I needed a few shirts done with same-day service so I thought this place would be perfect. Unfortunately, as soon as I walked in, I felt like they could care less about getting my business. The employees were busy (a good sign that they're doing well) but SO rude (talking about orders they'd received to each other in front of customers in really negative ways -- totally not OK). Someone came to help me and handed me a clipboard with a form to fill out but I had questions for her first. I explained that I needed three shirts done that same day and she tells me that that's fine but they only have a limited amount of tshirts for that service. OK, that's weird (you'd think they'd have more options than just regular men's tshirts and a handful of womens in limited sizes and colors considering they're called "One Hour Tees") but it's my fault for waiting to do this at the last minute so I'm up for checking out what shirts they do have. When I asked to see the women's tshirts they might have in stock, the woman who was helping me made a big deal about having to get them (they were being blocked by big boxes); she did bring one over which I was grateful for (they only had a few sizes). I believe there was another type of shirt she could have brought out but that one was also behind boxes and up really high so I didn't ask her to get it. Honestly, I don't need to know how much of a pain in the butt it is to get the shirts out so that I can see them. It's kind of your job to help the customer out. You can't expect me to sign off on printing a shirt without me seeing it first if that's what I've asked for. I was completely turned off by the total lack of customer service. From loud, obnoxious complaints about big orders they were getting in to complaining about helping me see what my potential tshirt physically looked like, I left completely unwilling to give them any business. Their final product might be perfectly fine but I would much rather bring my business to someone who clearly wants it. read more

Very satisfied customer with One Hour Tees. Their prices, turnaround time and design on t-shirt is great! The only negative side is the parking situation is difficult. One specific employee whose customer service and work is outstanding is Karima. She is very talented at what she does. I told her some ideas that I had for our "girl trip" t-shirts, a baby onesise and a t-shirt for a new dad to be and she made it perfectly! She's so creative. I used these guys for the first time two weeks ago. I had them overlay red writing on a blue shirt and then mail me the shirt. When it arrived, the shirt had black writing by accident. I contacted One Hour Tees and within 10 minutes they were putting in a rush order with free shipping to me at no charge. Mistakes happen, they're a part of business. Don't order anything here! The customer service here is garbage, and it starts with the store manager. I submitted for a quote well in advance (10+ business days) and it took forever to get things started (w/ Jerad). One email a day, always near closing time, so I'd have to wait almost 3 days until it got turned to an order for Karima. Conveniently, Karima (store manager) was out of the office each time I called to get an answer about my order. So Jerad and everyone else couldn't do anything until Karima was back in office. That took 3 business days. So, it took over a week for an invoice to show up, and by then, it was too late to meet their turnaround time (so my order was basically useless). So, I went to another company that was more pleasant and accommodating. read more

I walked in with my father who was so excited to make shirts for my mom's 60 birthday coming up and the woman behind the counter could not have been less interested in helping!! She did not get out of her chair when we had questions about the t-shirt options and had such an attitude when we had questions on price. It was really unbelievable! I actually started laughing! She also didn't realize that her computer screen was facing the front and clearly showed us her facebook page. My dad and I ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. Me thinks not. I wanted to get some surprise T-shirts for the completion of my wife's 7 months of cancer treatment. We found a day before she would be done with treatment the following day. We wanted to surprise her with family visit all wearing custom tshirts. I submitted an order online at 10am (that when they open) for same day service! I got an email indicating that Julio got assigned to my order. During the day I called 4 separate times to give payment and finalize my order. Each time Julio was busy and would call me back in 10 minutes. On the 4th call they told me it was not possible now to do my order. I do not have time to get the shirts from another company. Really screwed my wife out of a great surprise. The worst part is I spoke to Julio finally on the forth call and he told me they cannot do it any longer. They worst part is he never said sorry or we screwed up etc. What they didnt realize is that they lost me for my business needs as well as my personal one off needs. read more

Over-priced, poor quality, and horrible customer service. Not much variety to choose from when picking out a shirt, and the shirts they had were cheap/thin material and drab. I wound up bringing in my own shirt since I didn't like any of theirs, and the price drop for doing so was only a $2.00 savings. The print quality was not that great, in my opinion, and the placement of my logo, which was supposed to be off to one side at chest level, wound up well below nipple line. Furthermore, the office staff was incredibly rude from start to finish, and the atmosphere and the way they interacted with each other was very unprofessional as well. I don't recommend this place and I certainly won't be using them again. read more

I was referred to this company by a talented graphic designer so I have used this company before and they answered my questions fairly quickly but after going back to them a year later I am not sure what happened. I sent in an order online and no answer. The automatic e-mail said call if I heard nothing so that was fine with me. I am sure you have bigger fish in the sea to deal with. Then I call the next day and the designer tells me I did not send them the right file, yet I do graphic design myself so I was confused. So after explaining that I sent a file that could be opened in a particular program the salesperson/designer later responds that "I guess this will work." Mind you I sent this same file a year ago to another person in the same company who had no issue. So I am thinking I probably would have not heard from anyone unless I called because this person was assuming they did not have the right file. I was not going to pay until I received a quote like my time before. So I was told I would get one later on that day so I can call first thing in the morning to have the shirt printed in a decent amount of time. I never got the quote. Had to call back leave a message with someone other than my salesperson who did not bother to ask me if I needed help so I am not sure if he was a salesperson or just some other person who happened to be by the phone. This is making graphic designers not look good in the sales position. Whether it is 100 shirts or 1 shirt I feel that you can do better. I was only treated nicely when I gave the designer my payment. After approval I heard nothing so far. I am realizing it has been 5 business days with no response and I am lucky this is not something that is urgent. I like the company but I hope this one bad apple was just having a bad week even though that is no excuse. Keep up with the good prints!! read more

For once I went somewhere without checking out the reviews on yelp lol but I guess it doesn't even matter because I know I was 100% satisfied with them! I loved how you can go on to their website and custom pick how you want your apparel to be and they will reply with a quote. Back when I was in high school, my graduating class made shirts for literally EVERY occasion! I remember them being about $20 to $30 per shirt every time, so of course naturally that's what I was expecting. I almost flipped over in my chair when I read my quote! $9.81!!!! My goodness! What a deal! The staff there are amazing! They are so friendly and helpful that I seriously didn't have any issues! I was even 10 minutes late to pick up the shirt and they stayed open for me!! It's unfortunate that they only have one location! I mean it's not that hard to get to via CTA or anything, but I'm surprised that they're not popping up every where. I was hesitant to use One Hour Tees based on some of the reviews I've read. I was put off by the rude FAQ section from the owner on their website.But nevertheless, I ordered with them. I was emailing with Jared for 2 weeks to get an idea of pricing for different styles, colors, etc. He was very quick at getting back to me and was giving detailed quotes. When I went to place the order, I wasn't feeling confident that my order would be correct judging by their website order template - but I submitted my order. The site says to contact them if you don't hear back from them the next business day. I waited until 4PM the next day before I called and was given to Karina. She said there were some issues with colors and quoted prices that needed to be addressed - which is fine, but I'm wondering why they didn't contact me about it, I had to call them. She said I would get an invoice sent to me the next day. I got back to her after hours that same night with the changes needed to proceed with my order. The next afternoon I still hadn't heard from them, so I called and asked for Karina. I was hung up on. I called again and got Karina directly and she said she would resend the invoice (I never got it in the first place). An hour later, I received it and was able to submit payment. The shirts ended up being ready a day early, and they got all the sizes, colors, and styles correct (an order of 25 with ranging colors and sizes toddler to adult). The shirts looked GREAT. I honestly love them and they look great. My only complaint, as stated above, is the lack of communication from the staff in a timely manner, which alot of reviewers have also experienced. No one was ever rude to me, but I am less than impressed at the way they run their business. Great shirts though! read more

One Hour Tees has been printing my work for a couple of months now. I originally had some issues with their customer service, but told the manager I was working with and he made it right! He apologized, personally took on my order, and has been working with me since. The shirts look great and are really nice quality. They can make your order in a pinch. I ordered 2 customized t-shirts from www.OneHourTees.com & I could not be more pleased with them, particularly for the overall price! Normally, I do not mention individual employees in Yelp reviews, but I must give credit to my customer service specialist (Ashley) for her outstanding help. Not only did her input help improve the overall design of both of the t-shirts, she graciously took pics of me in one of the t-shirts without so much as a blink. Tip: For those of you who reside in Chicagoland, I would recommend placing orders online, then stopping by the Damen St. location to finalize them. (The office is right off the Kennedy Freeway, @ Damen). They have SO many creative ideas that can be best hashed-out in person. My only suggestion for improvement would be to offer a single late evening per week that would permit customers to pick up finished t-shirts outside of traditional 9-5 hours.
