We did a walk-in on our most recent visit as we weren't expecting my husband to get out early enough to make it during their Friday open hours (only open til 2 p.m. on Fridays). They were quick to greet us and very welcoming - they had no issues with the walk in. The location was clean and well-kept. The staff was thorough, but quick with everything so we were there for less than 30 minutes all in. They have private screening rooms for checking your overall health and eligibility. From there they offer you snacks / drinks in order to keep you happy during donation(s). The blood draw room is off to the left when you enter and there are several beds. There are a few TVs and they play mainstream shows that keep you distracted. Overall: A+ Donate if you can! You can help save up to 3 persons with EVERY donation. This location is super quick and easy to get through.

I arrived at 7sm & was glared at by the staff who told me I should've made an appointment. I explained that the Oviedo office told me thry were unable to make one for me because they were locked. I donated platelets & plasma. The staff rolled their eyes in despair when the machine would beep. It was a lot of work squeezing my fist repetitively for hours. Their sourness made it worse. They kept trying to take my remote control, finally in wanted to keep it & asked one to please get batteries elsewhere. It was not fun.

Because he doesn't speak English, the staff member assisting him was very rude and made him feel uncomfortable and disrespected. Donating blood should be a positive and inclusive experience for everyone, regardless of language barriers. Due to how he was treated, we decided not to donate at all. I hope in the future there is better training in customer service and more patience and understanding toward people who may not speak English fluently.

I always have a great experience with OneBlood. They make the process as simple as they can and…read moreshow tremendous gratitude to each donor. Donating is a relatively simple way to make a significant difference in someone's life. Injuries, transfusions for surgery, cancer and more keeps the pressure up on the need for blood. The entire process takes under thirty minutes and it's painless. On your way out you can grab a fun T-Shirt and a small gift card to one of your favorite stores or restaurants as a special "Thank you."

efore you donate blood here you should know that these companies make hundreds of dollars reselling…read morethe blood you give. In return, you get 2 cookies and a gift card. Mrore about the gift card later. I'm a middle-aged man. There's no way anyone could mistake me for a woman. I filled out the form and stated that I was a man. The interviewer asked if I was a man. And then after all that, he asked me, "Are you pregnant?"! I'm surprised he didn't ask if I was menstruating or lactating or had had a hysterectomy. Would he have asked a woman if she had erectile dysfunction or prostate problems? So if you refuse to go along in any way with this woke transgender nonsense, I suggest you stay away from One blood. Let me add that the interviewer looked like they were still in High School. Rather than asking adults about their sex lives (which they did, and will do to you and record your answers into their database), they should be working as hamburger jockeys at McDonalds. I doubt you want to discuss your private sex life with a kid who looks like they just attended their senior prom. Now to the gift cards. Surprisingly, people aren't motivated to give their blood to a company that resells it a huge profit if the donors get nothing in return but 2 cookies. Shocking, right? So Oneblood offers gift cards - for a fraction of the amount that they make off you. But do you get them when you give blood? Nope. They publicize that you get an "egift card at donation." I bet you think an "egift card" is a gift card like any other gift card and that you can walk out of Oneblood and stop at a Starbucks to redeem it on your way home. Well, think again. An "egift card" is a piece of paper with a code on it. A day or two later after being asked if you are a pregnant man, you have to go online, enter your birthdate (I'm surprised they didn't ask me If I were a man who was presently breastfeeding and how many sex partners I've had in the last six months!), enter a 13 digit (!) code, and maybe if the site is working, you might get a gift card delivered to you. By that time, you and all the other possibly pregnant men will have lost your patience and sworn never to go through this nonsense again. I mean, what guy has the time if he's too busy giving birth, right? I will never donate blood again. I already knew the whole thing was a profit-making ripoff of average good-hearted people, but this experience just told me how much worse it is than that.

We hope that they will have at least some of my records by the time I come back in. We are already talking about working to get me a couple of specialists that I am looking to see. I should probably write more once I have had multiple visits and have a good idea that the quality of care will continue.
