We did a walk-in on our most recent visit as we weren't expecting my husband to get out early enough to make it during their Friday open hours (only open til 2 p.m. on Fridays). They were quick to greet us and very welcoming - they had no issues with the walk in. The location was clean and well-kept. The staff was thorough, but quick with everything so we were there for less than 30 minutes all in. They have private screening rooms for checking your overall health and eligibility. From there they offer you snacks / drinks in order to keep you happy during donation(s). The blood draw room is off to the left when you enter and there are several beds. There are a few TVs and they play mainstream shows that keep you distracted. Overall: A+ Donate if you can! You can help save up to 3 persons with EVERY donation. This location is super quick and easy to get through.

I arrived at 7sm & was glared at by the staff who told me I should've made an appointment. I explained that the Oviedo office told me thry were unable to make one for me because they were locked. I donated platelets & plasma. The staff rolled their eyes in despair when the machine would beep. It was a lot of work squeezing my fist repetitively for hours. Their sourness made it worse. They kept trying to take my remote control, finally in wanted to keep it & asked one to please get batteries elsewhere. It was not fun.

An hour to donate and an hour to check in and wait. -Stay away from late appointments and lunch times if you can avoid. -Eat and hydrate before. -Upload any promotions prior to donating -You can request a phlebotomist (Miryan and Summer are awesome) -Bring a blanket or wear warm clothes. -Checkin is a small prick, donating is a bigger stick but not bad. Management should address and watch security footage. Please please PLEASE consider giving management/supervisory authority to individuals like Miryan, Summer and a lovely black lady with a beautiful Afro puff, I wish I knew her name. I appreciate they're professionalism, safe and swift service. I appreciate the new machines as they get you out quicker but you definitely feel it. I asked for a manager who said I should stop asking questions (like did we have a time frame for any delay?) because it made her staff uncomfortable since they didn't know the answers: I said I had planned on a few hours but would like to know if I needed to reschedule. My first (5) ATM withdrawals of $70 were denied with a message stating to call my financial institution The balance indicated the desired amounts were available but untenable. Resolution to my issues were further exacerbated by an extreme communication barrier with an unknowledgable customer service agent. Who only stated that my issue would be escalated to a specialty team within (1) business day." After finally gaining access to my funds I was then on (3) separate occasions denied sales approval at the point of sale register. There is an immediate need to reevaluate and correct all the technical issues with this financial institution.

The last time I was there: 4-5 "suits" there waiting for a manager, the kiosk dirty and looks like syrup on it (at opening), rude tech doing vitals calling out my weight, and while donating, a technician named something like Janeka (?) bummed my corner donation bed so hard, it shifted about 6" and she never apologized or checked if everything was okay! NO ONE is happy here.. not employees or donors! I'd rather go back to BioLife... not as much $$ but the employees are always so sweet, the place is spotless and music is always playing! It had been a bit since I had donated due to my low iron, barring me from it. Got there fifteen…read moreminutes early, and the two workers were busy but quickly welcomed me in. The entry has two small fridges with waters and juices plus a variety of cookies and snacks for when you leave. I ate some beef the day before and hours ahead of going in, and I passed my iron test. The interview was done, and I was able to select where to lay as my blood was taken. Wonderful experience was due to how professional and friendly everyone was.
