That's insane. Respect our time. Some of us don't donate for the $50 , we do it because we have a loved one who is alive because of the medicine made by plasma and donors. I am a Doner for over 3 years and considering not returning because this is not the first time. In all fairness this location has been better about the wait times the past few weeks but I can't do this this way with one tech to check in and 30 people waiting. That's just me. Honestly this place is the worst. It's nice that you can donate plasma and help people, but be prepared to waste your whole day. I've never been here at a time where it wasn't insanely packed. You have a MINIMUM three hour wait every time. Staff stands around and talks to each other instead of helping people. Also, the coupons and bonuses are a joke. A nurse gave me a coupon and when I tried to redeem it with the staff they refused to honor it saying I had used it already. Update: I am taking away 2 of my stars. If it wasn't for most of the staff being nice it would be getting no stars. Every time the wait is horrendous. Either hire more staff, OR (because I understand staffing and finding employees is hard right now so i say OR) limit/reduce the amount of appointments allowed. This would result in better performance and less wait. I honestly despise coming because the wait is so long. What's the point of an appointment if you have to wait OVER an hour to even get started So far I'm only giving 4 stars because the wait is INSANE! I had my first donation, but everything took EXTRA long even more so. I understand I'm a new patient but when it takes OVER an hour waiting for each station it's insane. My appointment was for 8:50, I showed up promptly then. I did not leave until 1:20pm. So 4 and a half hours. Double the length it should have taken. The facility is nice and clean, staff is friendly but not clear at all in the beginning on the process or wait length. So we will see how donations go moving forward. By far the worst plasma donation spot ever. Not one but twice came here from Poinciana was refused due to their system issues. They lured me back with a return donor bonus. I scheduled my appointment on the app. Now the app will not allow you to schedule an appointment to donate when you are due for a physical and instead will have you scheduled a physical. Again this did not happen and instead was told to schedule a donation. I did everything correctly. When I arrive they tell me the system has issues and that i need to return another day. They refused me a phone number for corporate or the site supervisor. They said to call the main number which is funny because no one ever answers the phone there, ever. The worst experience. My appointment was at 5:30 and I didn't sit down to donate until 7:15. It then took them another hour to come hook me up. Since I had been there for 3 hours, I asked for a snack so I wouldn't pass out. They told me no, and that since I hadn't eaten they would no longer let me donate. Hard working team and friendly staff! If you want to donate you have to make an appointment! They also have an app called "BioLife Plasma" it makes checking in and seeing your card balance very easy. Terrible customer service. They gave me an appointment for 3:10pm. Never did they say that it is first come, first serve. I get there at 3pm. They take my DL, ask me to write my SSI on a post it and to go sit down in a room. 45 minutes later, I go to the receptionist and ask why I haven't been called. "The time we have you it's the time you need to be in the building, but we see people in order of arrival". If that's the case, please don't bother giving an appointment time. I ask for my DL and the post it note back (mind you, she's asked my name 3 times already and told me there's 4 people ahead of me). She offers to throw away the post it note for me. I shake my head. After 4 hours just to get approved to donate, I began the process. The 2nd time I went, with an appointment, I had to wait over half an hour just to get checked in to begging the normally 45 min process which took me 3 more hours. I asked for a manager and told there wasn't one and the lady was very rude and condescending with no regards for the doner's time whatsoever. The next visit I couldn't wait again because I had to go to work and this place was STILL taking appointments even though they could not accommodate. This time I got a manager who told me it was cooperate and the website & that she apologized but there was nothing they could do. Then the hurricane came and I was disqualified from the promotion. Yes, this facility does experience high volume of plasma donors (old and new). Of course it can be very frustrating having to wait at times but I just want everyone that reads this to know that the employees here are very respectful, helpful, and understanding. This place has no system or organization. Here is what will happen if you come here. 1 You'll make and appointment for say 11am and you get there 10mins early. You'll be given a buzzer and told to wait in the car because they already can't keep up with the people from the morning 2 Now you won't get into the building for at least another 45-60mjn meaning your appointment didn't mean anything to begin with 3. Stand in first line for another 20-30 min to get blood tested to see if you can donate. Even tho you haven't eating anything because you been waiting on them for over an hour so you might fail and not be able to donate 4. Wait in next line for another 45-50 min for a bed 5. Get in a bed but wait another 20-30 min before someone comes to hook you up to donate. Depending on how hydrated you are at this point you could be in there for another 45-120 min donating. So I'm going to look for a different company to donate with because I don't want to spend 3-5 hours here every time I donate which usually take me 30-45 min once hooked up. read more

I have been donating consistently at BioLife for 2 months. I have worked to build a relationship with the staff to make my donation flow and keep their work running smoothly. I had a few snags, and overall very happy with the professionalism and way the team continously handles me as a donor and the value of their staff. I'm new to Florida and new to donating plasma--- they do not have such facilities (that I know of) in north New Jersey where I used to live. I was pretty impressed by this center, it was very clean, the staff were diligent about masking and gloves and they even use special devices to pick up the stray piece of garbage rather than touching it with their hands. Everyone I encountered here was extremely pleasant, polite, professional and helpful, and the donation process itself, once I got on the bed, was relatively quick and painless. Like everyone else, my only complaint is the waiting time to be screened, and sometimes to donate as well, you must wait, wait and wait some more. They staff members are busy zipping around and I did not see anyone goofing off, so it must be a staffing issue where there are simply not enough employees to handle the number of donors that come through the door. Don't waste your time here. They made me wait for 2 HOURS as a new donor before even registering my information. Then when they began the process, only THEN did they decide to check my veins, and rejected me for not having enough veins for donation. Maybe it would've been a good idea to check my veins FIRST, before making me wait for 2 hours only to reject me later. Also, I've donated probably 20 times at a variety of centers, and all confirmed that I had multiple veins good enough for donation. These ladies don't pay attention to the people. They walk around in circles and ignore the people. I was forgotten about for 3 hours on my first day. They make you stand in line for nothing because even though you sat down and your next they don't come to you to start the donation for like an hour or more and start the person that was behind you first. Badly organized and should do something about it. People have kids and this shouldn't take as long as it is. 7 to 9 hours in this place watching them throw trash away and fold boxes instead of helping people get started. read more

This is a prime example of a company taking advantage of us. Either take away some of the time slots or staff more people for the volume. this place sucks! had my first visit 4 days ago and it took the expected 3 hours with the whole signing up regiment. But when i went back yesterday for my second visit and donation only, I could not believe the wait! There was only ONE person doing screening and at least 15 to 20 people in line standing waiting to be just screened. it takes at least 10 to 15 mins to screen someone, so that would have been at least 2 hour wait standing up. At least have a seated waiting room for gods sake! I walked out. GET MORE SCREENERS, or at least limit the amount of appointments. Wish there was a KDI center around here.
